(Original Air Date: 09/20/06) Have you ever wanted revenge on an ex-lover? How far would you go? First, look inside a legal battle that has been brewing all summer. Tasha, creator of the Web site DontDateHimGirl.com, says her site is a public forum for women to share their dating experiences and tell the "truth" about their exes. Todd says false information about him was posted on Tasha's site, and he thinks she should be liable for the negative posts. He has filed a lawsuit against her and two of the women who posted. When they face off for the first time, who does Dr. Phil think is right? Then, Ashley found out her boyfriend, Corey, had cheated on her three times during their 10-month relationship. Now, she says she wants to get revenge by exposing him to the world. So why did she recently call Corey and beg for sex? And, Corey comes clean with Ashley and tells her how he really feels. Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

U don't think all the women lie

Quote From: preraph

I think if truth be known, most of those women don't know HALF the ways these men lied and cheated with them.  Young men have traditionally kept women in the dark for as long as they can.  They protect each other and rarely, if ever, tell a woman they're dating the honest truth.

As a licensed private investigator, I have caught just as many women cheating as men, but women are more discreet. I know that women are great liars as well. I know of situations where a woman called the police and stated that her boyfriend pulled a pistol on her and her kids, after the police responded they learned from her kids that she was lying, just pissed of. I had a client who hired us to take pictures of her while she was dating the married man to send them to his wife in an effort to break up the marriage. So I suggest you take a better look at your sisterhood. Some of them are quite sick in the head. I have several more, but I will leave it alone for now.

09/20 Revenge of the Exes

Quote From: lovingmylife

Apologies:  TASHA, rather than Tanya.  Sorry for my error ... : )

And exactly what WAS her bad behaviour?

Allowing women to disclose men's indescretions?

So you think men should get away with LYING?

(not that they're the only ones lying, just that we're disucssing Men's lies, not women's lies)

You are exactly right. If Todd was SOOO worried about his reputation, he shouldn't be suing the website, he should be worrying about his dating practices, realizing that there is free speech and treat the women he dates in a way that would leave them nothing negative to say about him. How is that I don't have to worry about Googling my brother's name or my husband's? Because they have respect for women, have left no loose ends in any relationships and have never done anything to a woman that would leave her feeling the need for revenge or slander!

Former Dr. Phil Guest!

My name is Amber. I am a former guest of the Dr. Phil Show, and while my show with my fiance, titled "My Fiance is a Stalker," (origional air date May 19, 2006) wasn't quite as controversial as this show, it did lead to a lot of public discussion about Ken and myself.

I completely agree that people have the right to voice their opinion, be it in person, via phone, internet, published article, etc., but I do also know how it feels to be the victim of these such public statements. Even though it was disheartening to read some of the things people had to say about me, the bottom line was that these people have their right to say so, regardless of whether they know me or not, or the statement is true or not. It IS, in fact, THEIR right.

I did not draw up a law suit against Dr. Phil for allowing these people to post such untruths about me! Dr. Phil is not accountable, nor are his staff that manages and runs the message boards on his site. It is a public forum. Instead, I personally responded in as respectful and reinforcing tone possible, that what was being said was untrue.

My goal was not to create heated debate with people who don't make a difference in my life, my goal was to simply provide the accurate information about the accusations made so that everyone else had the opportunity to seek the truth from me personally instead of just sitting reading a bunch of bogus as I sat silent and cowardly, allowing people to just say anything because there were no actual facts to go on. I did my part, I spoke my peace, and the rest is up to the public to believe me or to listen to a whole slew of strangers who think they know me because they watched a 45 minute television show one day.

In this situation with Tasha and Todd, I see that she has done nothing wrong, Todd should be in hot persuit of the author of the comments rather than the site owner. Todd had not done his part,(that I know of, or since the day the Dr. Phil show taped),  by personally responding to these accusations and setting the record straight. Then he went and made the problem even more public than it already was and wrote in to Dr. Phil and put himself on national television over it, yet he was so concerned about his reputation. Everyone just needs to relax and just realize that hey, such is life. There is no way to know everything that everyone and anyone has ever said about you, and as Dr. Phil said in this very show to another couple, the best revenge is to live well... which is my revenge to everyone who spoke untruths about ME.

Have you actually dated Todd?! You are so utterly pathetic to ASSume that Todd is guilty of what that ' woman'  said! You don't even have proof it  WAS a woman! lol

Man hater? Been burned too many times and now you can't think clearly? Try using some common sense for a change and realize that not everything in print is true ;)

Posting an opinion is just that, an opinion.
Posting lies and calling them fact, is libel and against the law .It's really that simple.

Had the person posting on tasha's site said, " I think Todd may have herpes", then it would be legal because that is their opinion and they have the right to post it, not matter how pathetic it is, but they posted as if it was fact and he says it is not, and that makes it illegal.

HE DOES

Quote From: karma_

Does Dr Phil take the time to verify that anyone here is a man or woman?  No.

Does he have to check the veracity of what anyone posting here says?  No.

It is an impossible standard to expect a website operator to background check every post.  She is not responsible for the free speech of others.  Dr Phil knows that, and frankly, I'm a bit disappointed with him setting a standard for her, he doesn't follow himself.

The internet is a nasty place.  If someone has thin skin, they shouldn't play in such an arena. He googled his name, he saw what two women thought of him.  In the future, maybe he should have more discretion in the people he surrounds himself with, and how he treats them.  With that in mind, those posts were just a few words.  The fact he knew who they were, despite posting very little information posted, speaks volumnes.

From what I saw on Dr Phil and at other sites, Todd is asking her to take responsibility, yet requiring none of himself.  He has had her and her family followed.  Which according to the legal website is illegal in light of the lawsuit, and can be construed as harrassment.  He repeatedly has named her possessions, and where her homes are.  Which are of no concern to such a lawsuit or even a debate about the lawsuit.  They just reveal his true intentions, to profit.

However, seeing him in action on Dr Phil, I think he has done more damage to his own reputation than that lame site ever did.  He will have to suffer the backlash of his arrogance and greed, because it is clear no employer would ever take that site seriously.

Todd exposed himself to millions.  While she only had a few thousand posters prior to the lawsuit.  What a fool!

SECOND, TODD DIDN'T GOOGLE HIS NAME. ACCORDING TO WHAT I HEARD. HIS MOTHER FOUND OUT FIRST THAT HE WAS IN THIS WEBSITE.

I'M ON TODD'S SIDE. AND TO ME, HE DID THE RIGHT THING IN COMFRONTING TASHA AND HER WEBSITE. WHETHER IT WAS TRUE OR NOT WHAT WAS SAID ABOUT HIM!!

I have a problem with the fact that the authors of these postings are able to remain anonymous, yet the people they are posting about are disclosed, sometimes with pictures. ( from what I understand, I would not actually sign on to the site) I think if the users had to submit their names they may think twice about what they are saying about others. It brings to mind the saying "he who lives in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones".

There are two sides to every break up, I'm confident some of these women who post stories, would in turn have stories posted about them by men who feel they weren't treated fairly in a relationship. Let's have a level playing field, if you are going to give a name of the pman who you feel did not treat you right, have the courage to use your name. You may be surprised (or not) about what others think about you.

Free speech but not slander

Ok, so while I do believe in freedom of speech, I do NOT believe in slander. I understand these women are hurt because I have been there but you can't just go around accusing people of things especially on the internet where jobs and anyone basically can read it. I believe that would be slander which I have also been through before. Whether a guy hurt her or not, that isn't to say that he is not a good person in other departments. Like the firefighter, yea he may be a jerk in relationships but the guy saves lives. I am not saying that to justify their actions but someone has to be the better person. What does that say about women if we can't. Honey, if he cheated on you he ain't worth your time.
