(Original Air Date: 09/20/06) Have you ever wanted revenge on an ex-lover? How far would you go? First, look inside a legal battle that has been brewing all summer. Tasha, creator of the Web site DontDateHimGirl.com, says her site is a public forum for women to share their dating experiences and tell the "truth" about their exes. Todd says false information about him was posted on Tasha's site, and he thinks she should be liable for the negative posts. He has filed a lawsuit against her and two of the women who posted. When they face off for the first time, who does Dr. Phil think is right? Then, Ashley found out her boyfriend, Corey, had cheated on her three times during their 10-month relationship. Now, she says she wants to get revenge by exposing him to the world. So why did she recently call Corey and beg for sex? And, Corey comes clean with Ashley and tells her how he really feels. Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

slander or what

It's hard to believe such a website exists.  It sounds so illegal--slander.  I totally agree with Todd, regardless of how he's treated any women in a relationship.  Guilty or innocent, this could ruin a person's life.  The broken-hearted or wronged in love should seek counseling and keep it private.  Always act like a lady.

I don't understand why the debate...

It seems to me that the guests on this episode have issues beyond revenge.  What is there to debate about the morality and/or ethics in taking revenge on these men who have hurt women?  I am nearly 30 years old, and have met, dated, loved, and hated plenty of men in my life.  As angry as I have been with some of these men for whatever they may have or have not done to me, I honestly believe that it is best to just count your blessings that you are done with this man and walk away.  I dated someone once for several months when I found out that he was married and had a child.  Of course I was devastated, I felt absolutely betrayed, and was heartbroken.  I could have gone into a rage, but how would that help me?  I considered telling his wife, but I decided that this wasn't my style.  I do believe that I would have had every right to inform her of his affair, but I decided not to.  I just walked away.  In my opinion, a person who is SO hurt that they have to "take revenge" is a person who is very insecure.  She is trying to build up her own self-esteem by tearing down another person's character, regardless of how much truth is in her comments.  If she wants to vent to her close friends and families, that's one thing, and it's probably necessary to the process of moving on.  But publicly humiliating someone, or chasing after them, is just prolonging her own pain, and proving to the man that she can't live without him.  As for the website -- Women:  You need to grow up.  However much damage a man may have caused you, posting information about his life, his lifestyle, his choices, and his actions DOES potentially have a much more devastating impact on his future than whatever pain you suffered has on yours.  You do not have the right to make public to future employers, neighbors, mothers, and children whatever truths or lies you feel the need to tell the whole world.  What this man did to you may be immoral, but your over-emotional, thoughtless actions are just as low.  Why stoop?  Just walk away.  Bash him as much as you want to your friends, but don't tell the whole world.

??????

Revenge may be good and therapeutic, but to accuse a guy on line that he is gay and has some sexual diseases, that's just low. He is absolutely right- statements like this can have a long term damage for the person. Site owner should be responsible at some point, what can be published there what not.

Revenge gives person only temporary satisfaction, it's not an answer to any problem. I think site owner has her own revenge issues. She said she did not post anything on the web about the guy that messed her up. 15 years ago. I think she decided to get revenge on ALL men period instead, letting these women get loose there.

This site is completely wrong.

This "revenge site" should be classified as a group hate site. This site was purposefully made to destroy the reputation of people, and whether the allegations are correct or not, hate sites are an improper outlet.

I wish to argue with the person who said that this outlet was theraputic. These women are trying to take revenge rather than to share experiences and to begin healing from their experiences.  It would be more theraputic for the women to merely share the experience that they had with other women than to try to attack their ex-boyfriends. If this site were changed so that the women were not allowed to bring up personal characteristics or identities of the alleged cheaters, then it would be a much more appropriate outlet.

It is hypocritical of the webmaster of that site to be upset that anyone would try to sue her,
She's exploiting the women who are hurt by their experiences.  She should not be making money off of this.  If it costs money to have the website, then the payment should be distributed evenly to the women who post.

And why is it that a woman will trash her boyfriend's lover, but will claim to want to save other women from becoming involved with the man when she's finally through with him?  I don't believe she's acting for the benefit of other women.  She would rip that woman's eyes out if she had the chance!

Wish the website was still active

I just saw (a rerun) of this show, & I attempted to check out this website. Unfortunately, this site is not active...  I thought I was a great idea! I'm single & it's really difficult to meet quality single people. My friends made me promise (on New Years Eve) to try Internet dating, even though the whole thing really creeps me out....If this site were up & running, I would definitely use this site as a resource, and feel much safer trying Internet dating.

As I get older, there are more and more guys who pretend to be single or don't wear wedding rings when they are actually married...it's really shocking!...It would be great to get that information in advance from a website so you don't have to waste your time/effort on those guys...

Freedom of speech should be protected and it also appears that guys can equally respond to any postings...I don't feel Tasha should be penalized for setting up the website...any accountability ( in the event of utter profanity or falsehoods) should be directed back to the sender of the email. And Tasha should protect herself by issuing a disclaimer.

If people treat other people w/ honesty & respect, they shouldn't need to worry about being profiled on this or any other website.....

Good luck, Tasha, and I hope you get this site running again!

TASHA - YOU HAVE SOME CONTROL ISSUES!

SHE NOT ONLY LET TODD SPEAK OR PLEAD HIS DEFENSE BUT SHE WAS RUDE & OBNOXIOUS.  I HOPE SHE FEELS THE WAY HER MEMBERS MAKE OTHERS FEEL.

SHE MAKES IT OUT LIKE HE IS SEEKING ATTENTION.. RATHER SHE HAS CREATED ALL THE UPROAR.  SHE COULD HAVE PROFESSIONALY REMOVED THE BLOG (AS SHE STATES SHE HAS DONE IN THE PAST) SHE OBVIOUSLY HAS SOME CONTROL ISSUES.

WHETHER THE COMMENTS MADE WERE CORRECT OR INCORRECT THE SIMPLICITY OF THE MATTER IS ..THE WEB ...IS A PUBLIC FREE BASE DISASTER.  IT ALLOWS & ENCOURGAGES PEOPLE TO ACT OUT & DO THIS.  WHEN YOU HAVE CONTROL TO REMOVE SOMETHING WHEN SOMEONE HAS CLAIMED THEY HAVE BEEN WRONGLY ACCUSED ANYONE WITH RESPECT TO MEN WOULD DO THE RIGHT THING.

I STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH TASHA'S COMMENT THAT THE LAWSUIT SHOULD NOT BE AGAINST HER......IF SHE DOESN'T POST THE NAMES OF THE MEMBERS WHO POSTED THE MESSAGE WHO SHOULD TODD FILE THE LAWSUIT AGAINST?  SHE IS A JOKE.

Slander is wrong

Todd was very well spoken and even tempered in his responses.  He is right, most men can't undergo the scrutiny of a lawsuit.  I am glad that he is standing up for himself, and going through with his lawsuit.  No matter what anyone does in a relationship, the wronged should seek counciling if necessary, and keep it private.  The accused should not have their name dragged through the mud, I don't care what they did.  This website should be taken down.  I would like to congratulate Todd for standing up for himself and not just letting this "Internet Bullying" go on.

01/01 Revenge of the Exes

This is a rerun. Has the case gone to court & if so, what was the verdict? Slanderous information on the internet should be illegal.

Girls get a grip...

The idea that someone can post anything on line is frightening, at best.  This website should be outlawed.  It is hurtful and slanderous.  When things go wrong in relationships, move on to someone else or perhaps check yourself.  One of the oldest sayings in the book, is What goes around comes around.  No one needs to take revenge on a person.  It is stupid and people can get hurt in many ways.  The editor Tasha seems irresponsible and blocked.  The fact that she has this website says a lot about her.  Shame on you Tasha.  Good luck Todd.
