(Original Air Date: 09/20/06) Have you ever wanted revenge on an ex-lover? How far would you go? First, look inside a legal battle that has been brewing all summer. Tasha, creator of the Web site DontDateHimGirl.com, says her site is a public forum for women to share their dating experiences and tell the "truth" about their exes. Todd says false information about him was posted on Tasha's site, and he thinks she should be liable for the negative posts. He has filed a lawsuit against her and two of the women who posted. When they face off for the first time, who does Dr. Phil think is right? Then, Ashley found out her boyfriend, Corey, had cheated on her three times during their 10-month relationship. Now, she says she wants to get revenge by exposing him to the world. So why did she recently call Corey and beg for sex? And, Corey comes clean with Ashley and tells her how he really feels. Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

Todd and Tasaha

I am all for the web site.  First off I am all for FREEDOM OF SPEECH, second Tasaha is innocent.  There are many websites out here that has degrading info on them that hurts people but they are not being sued.  How in the world can Todd blame the website for his success as an attorney, his success is totally on him, whether or not he is successful in the field he went to college for or not has no bearing on the website.  It is hard to believe that his clients would even take the time to go to "DON'TDATETHATGUY.COM"  It seems his particular clients has a whole lot more to worry about then TODD'S sexual active, namely the COPS AND HOW SOON THEY MAY /OR MAY NOT BE GOING TO JAIL..  The way he was pleading to the people on TV, goodness please....I could not stop from laughing.  Does he really think the women or for that matter the JUDGE will fall for that.  Lets hope not. Todd has been caught and he does not like it, guess his dating activity has taken a landslide in PA.  Grant you, it is hard to go on the net and read negative things about yourself, however, there is an old saying that everyone forgets, "do onto other as you want done to you".  Most people have forgotten that saying, and it does come back to haunt you if your doing people wrong.  It seems TODD is a pro at it, he even named the women that wrote the stuff on the site.  Hummmm seems fishy to me that you would know the women's names that posted on the message board and still proclaim innocent of wrong doing.  I don't think those women just started picking on Todd for no reason, women don't operate that way.  We need a reason to want revenge and Todd gave a few of them a reason so it seems.  If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, then it is a duck, Todd.  On the same note with the women being kept anonymous, if you think about it ...they should be, you have a lot of crazy people out there, and a women has words where as men have physical strength and can harm women very easily.  Men today have very few morals, they say the sweetest things to you at dinner and under the sheets ,while in the long run they are doing and saying the same things to other women.  I think it's time that men and women learn that their actions can and will come back to haunt them; that you can't and shouldn't play with a persons emotions and their heart.  Therefore, Tasaha keep that website up and running, there are many of women that need to vent about the wrong doings to there hearts. Good luck in court, Tasaha

09/20 Revenge of the Exes

Quote From: hblair14

I can't believe the website. Yes, I believe in free speech, but if you have something to say than you ought to 'fess up to saying it. If you can speak about a man, give his full name and post his photograph, then you should be REQUIRED to do the same. Your name should be attached and your photograph posted as well.  Maybe then people would be really sure that what they were posting is something they wanted to be quoted saying and it would certainly up the stakes for those who wanted to post something that wasn't true. I agree that what someone else can say, especially since it may not be true, can really damage someone else and the men have no real recourse for being able to have it removed. Yes, I am sure some men do cheat, lie, etc but what about those who don't?  If men can be named and pictured, the women should have to be as well. I think that Tasha appeared arrogant and rude on the show and should be embarrassed by how she acted and came across.
Tasha didn't appear to be anything but professional.  She stood her ground on her free speech stand.  Too many people, not just men, but a lot of men, run off at the mouth to people and ruin reputations without recourse against women.  This is a forum for women to state what has happen to them.  Why coundn't the men reply and disclaim the comments like so many women have to do when their reputations are being smeared.  I believe this man has probably run so much game before that he is now looking for someone else to blame.  He appears to be one who is never wrong, arrogant  and full of himself.  Well now even if the several accusations aren't true, the nations suspects that they are.

Get a Life!

I too have been hurt but more than that I've been physically abused by my ex. I left his sorry ass & got married to a wonderful guy & got myself a life with him & our two girls. Why waste time posting something so rediculous. MOVE ON!! I had soo much done to me but yet I had the strength to go forward & not backwards. I'm not going to go on a site & post anything on my ex because like it or not every dog has its day!

Hey Dr Phil...

I sure hope you let us all know how many responses you received on this "Todd" topic.  I think you have more women on Todd's side.  Women like Tasha give good hearted and genuine women a bad name.

slander

I really think slander is anything considered defamation of character.  If you use names, addresses etc., I think it should be punishable by law

Not so

Quote From: brownspeaks

There's a reason that so many women are vengeful, dear, and that is that 99% of cheating is committed by men who want to "eat their cake" and have five other women on the side.  Do you call that integrity?  Believe me, if this cheating epidemic was because of women, the men would do the exact same thing!

I'm not sure where to find statistics like "99% of cheating is committed by men," but I find it suspect.  True, some men cheat.  However, so do some women.  My ex-girlfriend cheated on me twice.  I have a good female friend that cheated on her husband because she found him boring.  As for men "doing the exact same thing," I have never posted an anonymous attack against my ex-girlfriend and I never would.  Instead, I acted like an adult and just let it go, thankful that I no longer had to deal with the disrespect she showed me.

BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT MONEY!!!

Quote From: wanlife2live

If someone wanted to create such a website thats fine, but I wonder why you used the term psychogirlfriendbeware... LOL   The website is called dontdatehimgirl not anything so extreme or hateful.  I've checked out the website and men who have been posted on the site can go write a rebuttal in their own defense.

Todd drew worldwide attention by appearing on the Dr. Phil show than he ever would have by that little unknown website since you and I have never heard of Todd or the website before.

If he's a lawyer I wonder why he would choose to go so public instead of just letting the court handle it.  Makes ya wonder huh??? ;-)

TODD WENT PUBLIC BECAUSE THE POSTED INFO ABOUT HIM--WHETHER IT WAS TRUE OR NOT-- WENT PUBLIC. AND AS ANYBODY NOT GUILTY WOULD DO, HE HAD TO RESPOND AND DEFEND HIMSELF. AND PROBABY TODD WAS MORE CONCERN ABOUT HIS REPUTATION THAN MONEY. THAT'S WHY HE DIDN'T SETTLE  IN COURT. " IF YOU DON'T OWE ANYTHING, YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO HIDE FROM"

You Teach People How to Treat You!

I was embarassed by the women on this show - very much promoting a view that women are irrational, vindictive and controlling in relationships.  They seem immature and insecure. The message is how DARE you not commit to ME - how dare you not chose ME!?  You're going to Pay! Men cheat on women and women also cheat on men.  Women have REALLY closed the gap on cheating lately, so we really need to get off the high horse on this one.

You can only control how YOU treat people and how you conduct YOURSELF and today these "ladies" made a pretty poor showing. If you have no self respect - how much respect will you get elsewhere?  Gee... WHAT IF that energy was put to finding better candidates and recognizing where they went wrong and have a better relationship next time? These guys must be pretty important to them STILL to give them this kind of priority and attention.

On the web issue - the web owner IS a PUBLISHER and there's accountability for libel like in ANY print publication.  There is good reason ALL RESPONSIBLE publications or broadcasts do NOT allow use of last names or even real names in interviews, news stories, etc. where the other person hasn't consented to that disclosure or participation.  It's irresponsible and subject to liability to do so.

If this were a man's site called justdoherguys.com - about women who were "users", there would be a whole different position taken on exactly the same subject!

She's engaged to an attorney so she is NOT single.  Most of you people don't have your facts straight before you spout off.
That is the point. Get the facts straight!!!

get your statistic right....

Uh, 99% of cheating is committed by men??  I don't think so.  If you actually research this, I think you'll find that it's fairly close as to the percentage of men who cheat and the percentage of women who cheat.
