the first inkling I get that something is not right, is they want me to be on webcam.  I do have one but I won't use it that way.  That is probably why I have been spared the rest of this problem, when I won't cooperate with the web cam they go away.

 hi just 2 let u no  that i've been contacted by this same guy along with about 4 others who my sister and myself have pegged as all in 1. they all start the same way . they show u sympathy becoz ur a widow r just out right treated wrong by other men .once they get u comfortable with them then they just reel u in hook/line&sinker .if u let ur guard down they will take u 4 everything . I myself just played along becoz all where 2 much alike & we kept catching all of them in lies . we trapped 1 by leading him 2 something the other 1 said we figured them out in no time .the picture u have of the guy  he told me his name is william kirkley he's from merritta, ga. his company he worked 4 was sending him there 2 audit resturants in nigeria. he was suppose 2 get back in 2 weeks but he had 2 get his own trasportation back 2 the states he is the second guy who contacted me from there the 1st 1 was named mark johnson who was suppose 2 b from canada helping a friend run a resturant and he also worked a the home 4 motherless babies they all ended up being the same guy.

 I had been contacted by these same scam artists and almost got into alot of serious problems, let me tell you one thing there have been alot that have contacted me with these gorgeous pictures that are on these so called safe date sites.  The first question I ask now are you in Africa or England.  These guys are very smart and very sleezy.  They dont come right out and ask for money and the one that I had seemed to be very stupid with never asked me for money but he did have me send things out from his so called employer, and at first it seemed legit but was not!  At first it was just fliers sent out to people all over the world and again I thought nothing of it, then I kept getting packages and same thing just mail them, needless to say I did not know these were checks to people.  Well one day I got a visit from the Secret Service and thought Oh my god I am in serious trouble.  Come to find out this guy from was from Nigeria and sending out all these fake checks.  I thought I was in trouble they told me maybe not unless I took money for doing this for them.  Thank god I didnt, the SS asked for a copy of my bank statements and emails from this man.  I have never thought I would fall for something like this cause I have got a good head on my shoulders atleast I thought.  Thank goodness I never heard from these people again and I am not into any trouble, but Ladies look out for these guys because they are everywhere, and even on the date sites and believe it or not I run across the same picture on these sites and I report them everytime I see him, so please beware and remember they just dont ask for money, they ask for favors after they think they have you reeled in!!  I have learned my lesson for sure!

Nigerian and scammers was a headline I heard on your promos this week.... my attention focused quickly.

Nigerian scammers have hacked into my computer, stolen my identity, have been emailing friends and family on my email address book trying to scam money from them - so that the scammers will not kill myself and my kids.

this is not a joke.  All my personal information has been stolen from my home hard drive by way of Yahoo mail - then they trashed my system with a virus. 

They have been sending me death threats and now are starting to send personal information on me to make me believe that they know where I am... which they do - they have my address, my phone numbers, cell number - everything.

I want to warn people about answering online mail... and how easy it is to innocently click on a mail and your life change in an instant.

I was scammed by a man who stated that he went to Lagos, Nigeria for his sister's wedding.  She married a black man.  His daughter supposedly went with him.  He was from Hamilton, Ontatio.  He claims he did not go back with them because he wanted to come to the U.S. to meet me and lost his plane ticket money.  He sweet talked me into sending him money, first for his daugher's birthday, then for him to take to the American Embassy in order to get a flight to Detroit.  He was so convincing and I was very vulnerable at that time in my life.  He even sent me a dozen red roses.  He claimed to have had a "client" who owed him money, so his "client" sent a cashier's check in the amount of $3500.00 to my house for me to cash and send to him.  I took it to the bank, they said it looked ligitimate and cashed it, instead of holding it for 5 days.   I left some of it in my account.  About a week later, I looked at my statement online and it said I had a negative balance of $2800.00.  The bank took my paycheck right away that was directly deposited.   I was scammed big time.  I felt so embarrassed and ridiculous for falling for this terrible man.  The one who said he would love me forever in one breath, then threaten to kill me in another.  I finally broke off all ties with him and haven't heard from him since.  I found a website called Romancescams and posted my story with  his picture on there.  Teresa and  the other people on that site have done a world of good for people like me.  Thank you.

I am hearing about this show. THeres a guy i met on SINGLEPARENTSMEET.COM. he's in africa dealing with a company there. supposed to have a 15 yo daughter. Hes from staten island ny. He just IMd me on Yahoo mnday telling me his daughter had an accident and had surgery. His client was going to send me a check for 4 grand, have me cash it and send it to him. first he does not have my address. Second I told him I DONT THINK SO. clicked him off. I just tried to report hi to the web site. Hes no longer on there. I wonder y if you know what I am getting at. on yahoo he goes by LARRYLOOKIN_SEARCH. thats what his name was on the web site. I still have him up on yahoo although i wont respond to him. I was told he is a widower

we have all been hurt... but we need to remember that when we get hurt that hate can consume you and will feed on its self.. it does not heal and will not fade... just look to the middle east countries... we need to remember to move on and have a great life with ppl that we can love and they love back. good luck to you all.

i have been sent sooo many letters from nigeria about some woman being sick and dying in the hospital and need someone to claim her husbands lost funds..for one thing if she was sick and dying how is she sending this email out????...i have also chatted with a few men that have asked for money and have sent money orders and checks...first time i did get a postal money order and went to the post office and asked if they were real and was told no. when i left to location i felt soooo small like i did something wrong....i didnt cash it just asked if it was real...well anyway, i told the man that i chatted with that they were fake and i didnt want anything to do with him or his scam..he told me there was no way the could be fake!..(yea right!)....anyway, i have several others do the same so now i have a small pile of these checks and m.o to remind me NOT to fall for this.....sometimes it does sound soooo good but you have to be strong and be sooo aware what they are trying to do!...watch and read !!......this may sound odd but when someone types they type the way they talk...you can read an accent in the typing....if you think about it like other postings i read here if they have soo much money why cant they afford to come back??....makes nooo sense!...well ladys and gents be careful and be safe!

My brother is 33 yo and has been completely deaf since birth.  He's a great guy... good looking... a lot of fun, but with his hearing impairment it's difficult for him to find women to date in the small town where he lives.  For the past year or so he's been going on this website for Deaf Singles to try to meet people.  Well, he has this young "woman" corresponding with him that claims she is deaf as well and  was born in the US but is now living in Africa somewhere, because her Dad works for the government and is stationed over there or something.  She keeps telling my brother that she wants to move back to the States to be with him but she can't afford a plane ticket and it's very expensive to fly from where ever she is, blah blah blah.  Well, my parents and I have been trying to convince him that this is a huge scam... that she probably isn't even a girl at all on the other end.  But unfortunately even at 33, my brother is very naive about the world.  He says, oh no, she's real because she's emailed him photos, etc.  I've tried to tell him they could be from a magazine for all he knows, but he's just not listening... he's just so desperate to find a hearing impaired woman to love.  Well, we found out recently that he has sent this person money orders on two different occasions totalling $450... I'm just so worried that he's going to keep getting taken to the cleaners before he wakes up and realizes it's all lies!  Something needs to be done about these awful people who prey upon the naive and unsuspecting folks who are just trying to find a companion in life... someone to connect with.  It is just insane!  I'm so pissed at whoever is doing this to my brother... getting his hopes up for some big romance only to be stringing him along for whatever money they can sucker him out of.  Hasn't life dealt him enough of a bad hand with his deafness?  Thanks for letting me share... If anyone has any ideas on how to get my brother to see the light, I'd love to hear them.  Maybe Dr Phil could get him to see the light.  I'm going to tell him to watch the episode... maybe he'll see himself in there...

I  HAD MEET A MAN  ON A WEBSITE , VERY NICE LOOKING WAS AN ENGINER. I WAS VERY ATTRACKED TO HIM , AND COULDN'T WAIT TO GET UP IN THE MORNINGS TO SEE IF HE WAS ONLINE.

  FOR QUITE SOME TIME HE HAD BEEN TRYING TO GET ME TO SEND HIM SOME MONEY  SO HE COULD LEAVE NIGERA.HE WAS WANTING TO SEND ME SOME TRAVELLERS CKS. ALL I HAD TO DO WAS SIGN THEM AND WESTERN UNION THE MONEY BACK TO HIM.

  I SHOULD HAD STUCKED TO MY FILLINGS , BUT I DIDN'T . WHEN THE CKS. CAME IN ; I TOOK THE CKS. STRAIGHT TO THE BANK AND SINGED THEM AND SENT THE MONEY BACK. THE ONLY THING IS HE WAS NEVER INVOLED. HE HAD SOME ONE ELSE DOING ALL OF THE WORK FOR HIM.

  NOW I'M THE ONE PAYING BACK THE MONEY TO THE BANK; WITCH WAS $ 3,000. I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL LATER THE TRAVELLERS CKS. WAS CONTERFIT.NOW HE IS IN THE UK. EVER THING WAS TURNED IN TO THE POLICE , BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT. I HOPE HE  HAS TO SPEND THE REST OF HE'S LIFE THERE. YES I'M ANGRY, AT MY SELF FOR NOT STAYING WITH MY GUT FILLINGS; ALL HE WAS , WAS A USER. THERES NO TELLING HOW MANYT OTHER PEOPLE HE HAS DONE THIS WAY.
