Unaccepted to Violence

  Good point !

It doesn't happen very often, but when a student gets the feeling that they are being mistreated, misunderstood, or for whatever reason, there usually is a reason.  In turn, they decide to stop it by killing others.  There is nothing right, moral or acceptable about it but they just don't care.  It usually turns out that they also have another student with the same attitude.  They get to talking and building their hate to a boiling point, then it happens.  They go Wacko.  No turning back.

It is very difficult for me to believe that these kids didn't have deep seeded problems in their upbringing.  Why hasn't this happened years before, and why is it also happening with young adults even after the school years?  They say times are changing and we need to learn to live with it.

Well, I certainly have little choice about learning to live with it.  These folks with all their problems could get help if they knew who to ask for it but it seems that the preference is for them and the rest of us to just live with it.

You need to report the incident to the principle as well as the school board, even if it is through an unsigned letter. If these incidents are not reported then nothing can be done.

I agree with Jetta. He needs to be reported. Knocked a desk over is very dangerous even with no one in it.

Report this to your principle and to your parents now.

I have a perposal

Most schools have cameras know days.We as parents need to know what is going on in the hallways and lunch rooms and class rooms.I think it is a good idea for schools to be hooked into the enternet so parents can see what is going on at the schools. This would be something only parents could have acsess to.So we could see if our child is miss behaving in class or if a onther chils is bulling our child.Wjat do you think of this idea????

Not all parents have the time to take off work to see spend with a child at school if there is a problem. This would allow parents to check up on thier kids at school and reall know what is going on at school.

Lockdowns

My school has had two lockdowns in the past two years.  Both cases involved someone bringing an airsoft gun into the school claiming it was real and that they were going to kill a certain teacher anda few students, then themselves.

The first incident was really scary for me, because one of the kids in my class had aportable radio and told us that the radio dj was saying that there was a shooter in the school.

The second incident everyone thought was drill.  No one took it seriously but it lasted for a couple of hours.  Ihad forgotten to turn my cell phone off and my mom called.  The teacher was even a little ansy and rather than confinscate it told me to answer it to find out what was going on.  My mom was paniking and told me that a person was in the school with a gun and was hiding in the school somewhere from the police.  After that the class paniked a bit...  but in the end no one was hurt.

Both people in both incidents were charged, but because they are underaged were never arested...

Now people in my school make light of it... In my commercial art class we had an order of 300 buttons saying "I survived the ------ ------- high school lockdown! ... TWICE!"  They all sold...

I find it a bit disturbing that people find this so amusing when at the time it was very real...  It makes you wonder what else it may provoke...

Honestly, I'd find it amusing too. If I were you I'b be wishing with every bit of my soul that something half as interesting happens again in your mundane school life.

Meh, I only have 4 month left of high school.  I'dbe happy to have a boring 4 months before grad because going off to college is a highly eventful thing as I see it... well, maybenoteventful or interesting... but, for me at least, it's big.

next time these people could bring real guns...  My children's school bus was shot 4 times by a 9 mm pistol, luckily no one was hurt.  I heard about it before i knew that and it scared me half to death.  Some lady was target practicing in the wrong direction and it could have cost the kids on that bus their life.  THERE'S NOTHING AMUSING ABOUT IT!!!
