Topic : 06/18 The Dr. Phil House: House of Hatred

 I feel sorry for all of those people who live in the house of hatred.  If they would focus all that energy on themselves instead of everyone else they would be so happy.  It's not the other person they hate but themselves.  What they don't like about themselves they take out on the other person.  I don't like sometimes the choices that others make but I don't let it change my feelings about life and what I want.  Sometimes the people we dislike the most become the people we can depend on the most.  I truly hope they get the help they need.  Good luck and best wishes.

So if people from South and Central America use the term "America" for themselves, how is that any worse than USA citizens referring to themselves as that. (I'm not even SURE that people here STARTED that...if you have evidence of this I'd be open to reading it, I just don't assume things are correct when people say things.)

This is one of the things that causes upset feelings and confusion that can lead to people flying off the deep end into hate.

I don't refer to myself as an 'American' to appropriate a term over other parts of  the America's....it's just a common word that is commonly used.

Intent really does matter.

WHY DON'T ONE OF YOU OFFER TO HELP GIVE JOHN,A SHOWER ??? IT ISN'T ISN'T TAKING A SHOWER,WHEN YOUR LIKE JOHN,,A HEPING HAND COULD SOUVED THE PROBLED,,,I GAVE LOTS OF BATHS IN MY LIFE AS PART OF MY JOB,,THAN WHEN I HAD TO GIVE MY OWN MOTHER AND FATHER A BATH,I WAS SCARED BUT IT WAS NO DIFFERT FROM ANYONE ELSE,,I AM DISABLED,,I CAN'T TAKE MY OWN SHOWER,I DON;T HAVE A BAR TO HANG ON AND I FELL ONE TO MANY TIMES,,LIFE IS TO SHORT FOR HATE!!!!!! YOU GUYS PLEASE DON'T BE SO MEAN TO JOHN,IT COULD REALLY GET TO HIM,,WE HAVE ENOUGH WAR,WHY CAN'T WE ALL GET ALONG IN THE USA,,ARE WITH ARE NIGHBORS,ARE STRANGERS..IT,S A WASTE OF TIME TO HATE PEOPLE,,,MAYBE YOU COULD LEAD A HAND TO THE ONE,S YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ! WALK IN THEIR SHOE,S,,ALOT OF PEOPLE HATE ME,WHY BECAUSE I'M POOR,WHITE TRASH,NO TEETH,,BUT I DON'T LET IT BOTHER ME!! hell john could wear a pair of swimming trunks. hell fire hes a human being and at his size it has to almost be impossable for him to bathe propely. i mean look when our dogs get dirty do we not bathe them? oh hell yeah i do.if you can give a dog a bath you can help people in need as well. a cat i would have to think about that one tho  lol they have straight razors on them  lol.

Well that's a lot to expect from a household full of unempathic selfish people...LOL...None of the six of these people seem equip to help someone with out suspicion. That is the problem with this kind of hate.

Basically, they trust no one and their concrete thinking makes them think they can only trust someone just like them. This kind of attitude doesn't lend itself to charity.

Kind of like the Gilligan's Island from hell:>) Lucky they're only together for a few weeks and not lost somewhere after the 3 hour tour!!!:>)  You only learn when you are with people who are not exactly like.you..otherwise life would be boring..... They might turn out to be OK.  Prejudice is a waste of energy. they say the way to not be someone's enemy is to learn their language. Some things can overcome barriers - sports, music , art ......:>)

I watched this episode and was stunned at the way these people treated one another. These people in the house are acting like little kids on a playground bullying and hurting each other. In reality all they are going to end up doing is hurting themselves if they can't learn how to live with one another. I don't think i will be watching any more of this experiment as i found all the yelling, hate and anger to be to stressful to watch. I wish people would just get along. We are not here all that long and it seems a shame to waste energy on hate.

 

Yeah, a fat suit would probably help, however, being morbidly obese, like John, is unfortunately his own fault.  I 'let myself go'  at one point in my life and had to lose 85 lbs. but I did it, the only way I knew how:  diet and exercise.  Speaking as someone who has a skin condition that is obvious to everyone around, I don't have tons of sympathy or empathy for someone like John because being fat/obese is NOT a handicap or disability.  Its something that can be helped, unlike many chronic conditions people deal with and suffer with every day.

 

Just my 2 cents worth.
