(Original Air Date: 10/26/06) Backstabbing takes many forms –- lying, spreading gossip and fueling nasty rumors. Dr. Phil’s guests say the ultimate betrayal didn’t come from a stranger, but from their own flesh and blood! Stacy accuses her younger sister, Christy, of being a traitor. She says Christy reported her and her husband to Child Protective Services for allegedly having child porn on the family computer! Christy sticks to her story, and vows to help put her sister and brother-in-law in jail. How far will she go? Stacy’s 16-year-old daughter claims her Aunt Christy is a liar, and says she’s ruining their family. Can these two sisters overcome the conflict between them, or is their relationship at the point of no return? Share your thoughts, join the discussion.

Movie

If anyone watches the the lifetime movie network you should remember a movie that aired a few years ago.It had Milissa Gilbert in it. It was about a a woman that was a friend of millisa and her husband.The woman was trying to get with millssa'a husband. her husband rejected her. The the friend went to the police and said that millisa and her husband were melesting their kids.They went to trail and they found the parents not gulity.This sounds like the same thing. This sister may be the one who is trying to get a movie and book deal.Think about it

family can hurt

There is no doubt in my mind that a sister has no right to destroy a family. The police and social services have clearly done there job, and yet this sister still thinks she has the right to continue to cause her sister's family pain. Shame on her!!

I find it amazing that so many people are making such harsh judgements on people who they know so little about. What basis do some of you use to say that Christy is 'jealous' of Stacy? The fact of the matter is that Christy has done quite well for herself. (I know because I'm one of the step-sisters.)

Christy believed there was a problem and reported it to the authorities. Any person with a conscience should do exactly that. Now, whether or not ther actually is a problem remains to be seen. (And legal authorities overlook a LOT every day! There are too many horrible things happening in our world for authorities to keep up.)

How amazing is it that Christy hasnt seen Stacys children but 5 times but she can try to threaten the children and abuse them. Stacy has done well for herself also but if Christys good is what she has done to her sister and family then I think its sick. Christy might have believed there was a problem but what she cant take evidently is the truth from more than one authority. The way I see Christy is she cant stand to be wrong. But what do you people hope to accomplish with this public war . The only thing I can see is that Christy is dragging you all down the drain with her sickness. She desperately needs help. You may be next.

She can claim until the end of the world that the authorities just missed it...they didn't do enough...they aren't competent...

I think that lie dector is a joke. Christy is convinced she is right and she will probably pass the test. Lie dector tests are not 100%.

Offensive!

Christy is something else! I have a very strong feeling that she is every thing that her sister thinks and probably more.....I am one of seven and have three sisters......Not one of them would ever dream of behaving in such a horrible vindictive way. Personally, growing up in the 60's and being one of the oldest, my parents by today's standards would have had to go before a judge and explain themselves......Thankfully, we grew up when we did. No it wasn't abuse, just plain old discipline.

She needs to back off and let the authorities do their work..Looking forward to the lie dectector results!

I don't understand. It was stated that the abuse to Christy and possibly the brother were not known by Stacey, or at least not performed on her. If this is true, how is the abuse continuing in her family? Why is her job being put in jeapordy?

Maybe Christy is right, however, I believe she is not. Even if she is right, what gives her the right to go after Stacey's job?

I agree, because me and my sister were both abused by our stepdad and I didn't know she was getting abused and she didn't know I was getting abused until we were grown and the truth had came out. Although I can understand Christy being worried about her nieces and nephews, but I think she went about everthing the wrong way. Telling the daughter her mom was going to go to jail, maybe the mother is blind to whats going on to save her family. My mother had no clue what was happening to me and my sister and if my aunt would of told me my mother was going to go to jail I would of been horrified to tell the truth.
