(Original Air Date: 10/26/06) Backstabbing takes many forms –- lying, spreading gossip and fueling nasty rumors. Dr. Phil’s guests say the ultimate betrayal didn’t come from a stranger, but from their own flesh and blood! Stacy accuses her younger sister, Christy, of being a traitor. She says Christy reported her and her husband to Child Protective Services for allegedly having child porn on the family computer! Christy sticks to her story, and vows to help put her sister and brother-in-law in jail. How far will she go? Stacy’s 16-year-old daughter claims her Aunt Christy is a liar, and says she’s ruining their family. Can these two sisters overcome the conflict between them, or is their relationship at the point of no return? Share your thoughts, join the discussion.

Find out what happened on the show.

What a life

If my sister was to jeopardize my career to get some attention I would have to smack some sense into her and/or take her to a psychiatrist. There is some things you just don't do and wrong

I walked out of the room for some coffee and missed what Dr. Phil said there at the end. I thought they were going to have some lie detector test done... What happened?

well my sisters were angels.

i dont know what to think about a family member taking measures such as this.maybe big sis took little sisters boyfriend from her in school  lol. but a rottwiller man bad choice there. all i can say is dont piss the dog off and be careful as how  you talk to that animal. a german shepard would have been a much better choice and not a likely to turn on you and dismember you as your choice will. not to say the danger that animal poses to neabore children. you are worse than your sis to put a animal like that in your hood.

I do not believe Christy

I agree with Dr. Phil that Christy believes what she is saying is true. I also believe Christy has something called Munchasen (sp?) syndrome. It's basically where they draw attention to themselves purposefully. It is a psychological disorder. I think Christy will pass the lie detector test because she belives in the lie she will tell.

Of course I try to catch all of the shows!!

Just wanted to let you know.... Dr.Phil isn't finding these people.... they are finding him! lol

I know because I'm one of these messed up people whom have tried to seek his guidance and help (so far I haven't heard from anyone.... but I keep on hoping that there is someone out there  somewhere that can Help me too!!)

Though I won't get into it here because because it is off topic for sure, my sisters are awesome, they are both younger than me and there is a nine year difference between me and my first sister (she recently turned 18 ! )   I couldn't imagine them stabbing me in the back or Vise Versa..... but of course I was the one who took care of them when they where little, so they really look up to me!   Its been hard (now that they are grown up) to get them to look at me more as a sister and not there mother.  My youngest sister used to call me mama when she was little, and I was always having to correct her.  Our mom was their in body, but not in spirit or mentally.

Anyway

Cant wait to see this one Dr. Phil!!

Sad Situation

Wow, what a mess. Unfortunately I missed the first 25 minutes or so (was on the phone), so I don't have all the background that was presented today. My husband and I each have many siblings, but we are not particularly close to them (not unfriendly, just not visit-back-and-forthknow-everything-that's-going-on close).  Mixed blessing there, I guess.

One thing I didn't understand, though, that maybe someone here with better information on investigative techniques can clarify: What is the purpose of a polygraph here? A polygrapg certainly isn't going to objectively determine whether abuse is going on - only whether either party is displaying deception (and even these results are notoriously unreliable, which is why they are not admissable as evidence in court). If, as Dr. Phil seemed to feel, Christy absolutely believes what she alleges, regardless of whether it is inaccurate in fact, what will a lie detector test determine in her case? If she actually believes she is telling the truth, then it seems to me it's going to say she's telling the truth even if she is still wrong. Is he just trying to weed out overtly maliciousness? I appreciate any feedback, and thanks! :)

lie detector test

Quote From: afraid

thats what i would like to know they said they would let us know what the test would say  do we have to wait till friday i am really curious to know the results of this i dont know who is lying but why wasnt the husband of the other family there? can he not defend himself here is his job so much more important children are afraid to say the truth as losing their parents and going into foster care is terrifying and they will cover up anything to save their family and stay together
