(Original Air Date: 10/26/06) Backstabbing takes many forms –- lying, spreading gossip and fueling nasty rumors. Dr. Phil’s guests say the ultimate betrayal didn’t come from a stranger, but from their own flesh and blood! Stacy accuses her younger sister, Christy, of being a traitor. She says Christy reported her and her husband to Child Protective Services for allegedly having child porn on the family computer! Christy sticks to her story, and vows to help put her sister and brother-in-law in jail. How far will she go? Stacy’s 16-year-old daughter claims her Aunt Christy is a liar, and says she’s ruining their family. Can these two sisters overcome the conflict between them, or is their relationship at the point of no return? Share your thoughts, join the discussion.

It was painful to watch. I don't believe her at all. I think Dr. Phil saw through it and I hope that the viewers did as well.

Amen......the accusing sister is SO much like my own sister & all of my pain about her resurfaced as I watched today's show! I've never written in to the dr phil (or any other) show but today was just too compelling.

It is sad, the one sister has had to spend so much $$ defending herself and the accusing sister just runs around with diarrhea of the mouth - all for free and completely out of jealousy over her sister. It is my story 100%!!!!!!!!!!

What a bunch of crap.

Christy obviously has some very real problems and I think her husband should get her help instead of egging her on. Maybe she's jealous of her sister's large family & her seeming happiness with her life? I'm willing to believe the experts -- there was no abuse. If there was those children would have been taken. I think Stacy needs to get a lawyer and sue Christy for all the heartache & anguish she's caused her family, I would be interested in knowing what Christy's credentials are that she can assess how well everyone involved from the police to midwifery -- her sister's profession. As to her malicious, insulting letter to the DA, had I been the DA , I would have filed charges against her for whatever I could. That woman is dangerous -- she's the one who needs to be locked up.

Actually being on TV has made things better for Stacey now that Christy has made herself rediculous on TV .

About leaving a spouse for porn, I know many women who would seriously consider leaving on those grounds, even outside the Bible Belt where we both live.

verifiable proof. Yeah they could not establish the line of
possession on the computer. Christy admitted she had it for two
months before she turned it over to authorities. This is why
children in America are abused for so long. Authorities are spending
so much time dealing with false and erroneous charges. SAD!

I agree with everything you said and ESPECIALLY the last sentence. Christy is griping that the authorities didn't "do their job" but they have to spend SO much time on false accusations, that the REAL cases fall through the cracks! I personally do not think Christy has a leg to stand on with this issue. She has absolutely NO proof and until she does, I fully stand behind Stacy and her family. I think Christy herself is abusing those children by creating all of this chaos in their lives. Their reputations are ruined and to young children, this alone could be just as devastating. I would strongly suggest that Stacy pick up her family and move FAR away from Christy and her know it all husband. I'm sitting her thankful that I was born an only child! I don't need a lie detector test to prove to me that Christy is crazy! She would probably pass it anyway because she BELIEVES everything she says whether it is true or not. Stacy, your family is in my prayers.

I was very shocked to see this particular show. I cannot believe that Christy has gone so far to ruin this family's life. I understand, slightly, her concern for the children. Even though it is probably unfounded. But to go this far and to start believeing in your own illusions (even Dr phil pointed out that he believed that she believed her story)...but most importantly: does she have any kids? she would think twice to raise such an uproar if she had a child. Does she understand what she is doing to these kids? she is ruining their stability and security without even a blink of an eye. Something is making me feel as if she is just jealous of this huge family and is out to get them by any means possible. These children will never live down this huge mess. She should go to a psych ward. And her little husband muttering bits on the side as if he even has anything to do with this matter. just putting more gas on the fire. Even if there is something going on, it's not their business.

I cannot believe the backstabbing this sister has done to the other. Her verbal abuse to the higher authorities shows me she has no respect or them. Her empty threats are immature and unfounded. She needs help. She has blown this out of the atmosphere and just is making it a personal vendetta.

I would move away and not let her know where I moved etc, and cut her out of my life.

Even if there were a small ounce of truth to what she said, she went about it unprofessionally. Her actions proves her state of mind and mental health.

My family has major issues, but this just takes the cake for gosh sakes. I'll pray for the family of 11. the young daughter did not display any behavior that would indicate she was lying.

I think Christy has alot of hatred and jealousy for her sister with the 9 children. Christy has her own emotional problems that are confusing the issue at hand. There were many serious accusations made, which need to be clarified and checked out. The date was not mentioned when the followup for the lie detector test will be. Does anyone know when it will be?????

My heart goes out to you Stacey, your husband and your children. I am against porn on all levels and if I ever caught my husband engaging or viewing that matter (we have the same POV on it), I too would take my children and leave him. But I'm very glad that you and your hubby were able to work this out and reconcile on your marriage. Forgiveness is so powerful and I'm thankful you were able to offer this to your husband.

As for Christy, I sense nothing but anger and jelousy on her part. She is caught up in the mix-up of her own lies. The charges she filed extra against Stacey don't even make sense with the opening accusations! Fraud and child porn are two completely different topics. Shame on Stacey and her husband for being so rude and ignorant.

I think Christy and her computer nerd husband should be charged with libel and slander. SHAME ON THEM! Get a life and go fight for something that real is worth while. Child abuse is important but file VALID concerns when need be. Not against an innocent family suffering through personal demons of their own (husbands porn).

I hope Christy and her husband are prosecuted.

Stacey, Bethany and the rest of your immediate family, god bless you. I hope you can soon move on and heal.

I sure would not want this woman in my group of friends ..or family or living near me. or living near anyone I knew!!

This woman should be put in jail for what she had done to this family! She is crazy and so jealous of her sister and her family.
