I'm truely sorry.

UGH!!! FOR THE BAZILLIONTH TIME!!!! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MEEEE!!!!

I said it over and over and over and over and over and over again!

I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS!! I never said I had a problem with this! The only person who said I had a "problem" was Pass because I'm not the same as she was when she was 21!!!

And for crissakes I WORK AT A PORN SHOP! I KNOW about lubricants!

*pant pant pant*

Okay, sorry about that outburst, really....that kind of was on the angry side, I know you're just trying to be nice, but seriously, I NEVER said it was a concern, NEVER said it was a problem, NEVER said I wanted to fix ANYTHING about my body. MY VAGINA IS FINE. I did NOT say that I have a problem with dryness, I DID NOT. Pass insisted that there was something wrong with me ONLY because I was not like her at 21.

SERIOUSLY.

I didn't mean to put more damage on the situation. I just thought it would be interesting to get from a guys perspectiveof the situation. And I didn't even mean to put the topic DIRECTLY at you. Just in general since there were so many different topics being said. Since this specific topic of lubrication came up, my husband and I had a conversation about it and WHAT IF this were to have/had happened to me, what he would consider? Would he be supportive? etc. Again I am sorry, for even considering of putting that up.

This brings up another topic I was never 100% in understandings with and personally never used.

What does douching actually do or even used for? I always thought that it was just to use it when you get that "not so fresh" feeling or smell. lol My husband has always tould me to never use it because it can actually ruin or even be damaging to your health??? Just curious.

It removes all the natural secretions that women produce that can fight infections, removes any natural lubrications we have that make sex more enjoyable, and it can even damage our tissues, it is not a good thing. I think the only time a doctor would prescribe a douche is if a woman has had an infecrtion and had to use medication that was inserted and the doctor felt that a douche would remove any excess medications, or would be helpful in ensuring that the womans vagina was medically cleaned.

For personal use, it is not a good thing at all, yes we like to feel clean and fresh, but if you watched Oprah, Dr.Oz alikened womens vaginas to self cleaning ovens lol , and douches really interfer with that process.

Most douches use a viniger base... that does not sound good to me that I would use a substance that I use to wash grime off my windows lol.

Some use artificial solutions made up in a lab, I guess my point is that it is not natural, and should only be done if your Doctor recomends it.

As for the female scent, If a woman has issues with strong odors, see your Doctor, you may have a yeast infection, which is very common amoung women, or some other type of infection.

Or it may be that you just have a very strong womanly scent hehe, if the latter is the case, speak with your gynocologist to see if they have any safe options or suggestions, perfumed scents are definatley not the way to go, but there is a lot of natural remedys that a woman can look into. However, remember your scent is you and most men find their mates scent very very attractive, even if it is not attractive to others, to our mates we smell wonderful lol =). However, to reiterate, douching is not the way to go to try to attain a fresh, clean smell, the price is way to high in the long run.

I am so happy that your hubby has encouraged you not to douche, he seems like he is really in touch with womens health, and to him, your health is very important to him, great hubby you have there =).

Sorry, if you took this the wrong way, all i was going by was what I read, and did not go back as far as it seems i should have. Honestly, when i was sharing my opionions and thoughts, for the most part I was not thinking specifically of your case, but more general of women who may have an issue with vaginal dryness.

I was not sure if you really did have an issue or not, but thinking of those women that may have issue, by sharing my opinions and thoughts, it was my hopes that they could take what is good from them from my posts and leave the rest.

Further more if Pass was making a judgement baseed on her own experiences, then that is all it is a very narrow veiw point, that is applied liberaly to all who do not fit into her experience. It is narow minded, but if that is all she has to go on then that is what she is going to use, lol.  However, since it does not apply to you, and I was under a false impression, I apologize for that, I was under the impression this was a legitimate conversation about the issues, surrounding vaginal dryness.. and was being honest about my points of view on the matter.

Any way maybe a woman who is sincerly dealing with this issue, will find something that she can use to her benifit, and if not, well it was simply entertaining and even had some educational qualitys to the posts lol. Have a nice day, and I must say I am happy to hear that this is not a issue for you, because in all honestly not only can it be a physically painful issue, the emotional repercusions can be devastating to some one who is dealing with it.

Any how, I am rambling again lol, have a great day =).

*whew* Now that I've had some time to cool down about this, I can answer you in a much calmer manner.

Sorry that I kind of exploded at you, I really didn't mean to do that.

It's alright. I wasn't mad at you in particular, just at the fact that I feel like people aren't taking me seriously when I say it's not a problem, or just don't take me seriously because I am young an unmarried.

I chose to stop responding to her a while ago. The things I have to go by are, of course, my own experiences, as well as the things I am taught in my Human Sexuality course, and the things I am taught about the industry and products that we sell at the adult store I work at. (The class teaches about both psycological and physiological aspects of sexuality, and I learn more about the products *sex toys, lubes, etc* themselves) but I do like to entertain the idea that everyone's body is different, and vaginal dryness isn't neccessarily always a problem. It can be, but not in my case. I think some people are under the impression that I do not create any natural lubrication at all, and that I need lubricants every time I have sex. In that case, it is not so. Sometimes I do get enough not to need it (but still use some anyway just for fun) and sometimes I don't get enough and need a little extra, sometimes we don't use any lubricants at all. This is why I kept saying that I don't need to go to the doctor, because for me it really would be a waste of both my and the doctor's time.

Any way maybe a woman who is sincerly dealing with this issue, will find something that she can use to her benifit, and if not, well it was simply entertaining and even had some educational qualitys to the posts lol. Oh without doubt there are women who do have problems with this, and I agree that some of them could draw decent advice from your posts. I think that for a woman who is having trouble with excessive dryness and irritation should go to her doctor about it, same as if a woman who is having a problem with excessive moisture.  I'm thankfull that my case is niether.

Any how, I am rambling again lol, have a great day =).

I don't think you're rambling :D Actually, I'm glad you reacted to my outburst with the level of rationality that you did.

Douching is supposed to be a way to "clean" the vagina, but it's not neccessarily a good idea. Some women think it will clean out the sperm from their vaginal canal after sex, but in reality it can push sperm further up into the vagina closer to the cervix and increase the chances of pregnancy.

It can also remove essential bacteria that is needed for vaginal health, dry it out, or even cause yeast infections.

So yeah, your husband is right.

I've had a little time to chill out and rant to a girlfriend about it, so I can definately say I blew off some steam about the issue. Sorry about the explosion of...er..caps. XD

So yeah, your husband is right.

In all honesty in my late teens and early 20's I douched, probably once a month, and i started getting yeast infections, my doc asked if i was wearing synthetic panties and or doucheing or wearing tight jeans. I was like what the hell?!

What kind of questions are those, give me the freaking cream and let me get out of here lol.

Well, I told my doc , yes I was douching, and yes my panites were of the synthetic variety, and umm I was a young woman, and tight jeans were the in thing when i was a young woman lol. Fist thing she said is to stop douching immediatley, that it was removing essential natural vaginal good bacteria, second start wearing cotton panties, or ensure that my synthetic , silk, or satin panties always always have a cotton liner ... and lastley loosen up on the jeans lol.

As for the sperm being pushed up further that really sounds like a legitimate possibility! Douches are not spermicides, so if this young woman is correct, and a woman is not on birth control but using douches as a hope this works form of birth control.. yikes! However, it is up to each individual woman to make the choice, I would just hope they make an informed choice and do some reasearch on it, and talk to their Doc about it.

HAHA we way of topic of Porn but this is great information sharing, and really I am learning new stuff too!

"but in reality it can push sperm further up into the vagina closer to the cervix and increase the chances of pregnancy. "

As prescribed by dr. red for thousands of women everywhere to use this technique if they have the slightest problem getting pregnant.

Just douch after you have sex and this will increase your chances of getting pregnant!!! LOL, that's too funny.

Ok, now do some research on this please, and check out the life span sperm.

"pushes sperm further into the vagina closer to the cervix"..lol, my goodness.

Plain simple truth, you don't douch without talking to a doctor about it, and unless presribed by him/her you don't need to do this.

And ps. since we are stuck on the vagina thing, did you know that products sold specifically for women to "mask problems" are also known to give serious complications and infections to them.  For instance using a product with talc is actually linked to certain types of cancers.   Did you know that using products that are use, (even those lubricants) are "approved" for usage and yet still cause some serious problems for "SOME" women.  Especially those that are "flavored" or "fragranced".   FDS sprays also were known to have some serious complications for women, and yet they are still on the grocery isles being sold to women everywhere.

The vagina is made very self-sufficient for cleansing and maintaining it's own enviroment UNLESS it comes in contact with something outside of it's normal or healthy "intake"...such as a man with an infection or various products that cause an instability in the natural enviroment OR hormonal inbalances, OR more common, but serious infections.   Also, number one, is vaginal yeast infections caused from a host of problems women bring on themselves, like "thongs" or extremely tight pants, or wearing un-breathable fabrics or just plain being filthy and not cleansing properly and using products to "mask" a problem of a more serious nature.

Bottom line, if you have any kind of issues in this specific area. Its best to seek doctors attention and ask a professional.

Once again, I have done research on this dearie.

At what point did I say that douching was supposed to be used for women who want to get pregnant? Didn't. Didn't say that at all at any point anywhere on my post.

I do happen to know the lifespan of sperm. Sperm can actually stay alive inside a woman's body for UP TO but not always, four days.

Now, if you really are so damned set on the idea that I can't drop a subject, then maybe you would stop quoting all my posts wouldn't you? I wasn't even talking to you for crissakes.

And you know what? I do not care how long you've been married or how old you are, OKAY? I don't. You've been married no longer than my own parents. I would seriously appreciate it if you would JUST FRIKKIN STOP discrediting everything I say just because I'm not as old as you, or because I'm not married. There are people who have been married twice as long as you have that don't pretend to know everything the way you do.

Now, once again, LEAVE ME AND MY POSTS ALONE AND KEEP YOUR SARCASM TO YOURSELF.
