I agree...

but how many thousand died here in the U.S. because he ignored what rising up of the Talaban (spelling)? How many opportunities did he have to catch the man in charge of the 9/11 attacks?

And finally....how do you believe we should go about fighting these terrorists before we encounter another 9/11?

You don't have to answer those questions here. I am sure this political talk is worse than the religious talk. Do I believe Pat Robertson was out of line? Yes. Do I believe we need morals put back into the running of our country? Yes to that too. THis country was found under God and I don't want to live in a place in which God and prayer has no place in the place we call the United States of America. And Pat Robertson was right on the fact that we do need our country to get back to having morals. And I believe many people expressed that opinion when were making their decisions on who they were going to vote for. Again...don't need anyone to answer my questions here....just something to think about.

Does anyone know if they ever arrested anyone in the deaths of Madelyn Murray O'Hair and her family? You know the woman who got prayer taken out of schools?

I bet if they haven't they aren't searching for the killer too hard.

This country started going to hell when prayer was taken out of schools, mothers started working full time and shoving their kids into day care for 12+ hours a day from the time they are infants, porn and sex being shoved into our faces everywhere we look, and the names God and Jesus have begun to be looked upon as if they are filthy words.

This world is becoming a cesspool.

why being a women is not the most fun in the world.  Had my annual check up....and after it was over....the paperwork came in which the nurse asked when my last period was. Well....haven't had one is 12 years. And with that answer came..."Oh crap....I used the wrong swab for your pap. We have to do it again."

So....being a women sometimes reallly sucks!  Something to remember when complainig about all us women.

Oh and for some good news....we got an email today. My sister-in-law is going to have a baby in March. We had suspiciions a couple weeks ago.  Something about how a women looks when she is just barely pregnant. I seem to always know before they tell me.

I need to go again too. It's been 2 years since my last exam and I had cervical cancer in my 20's so I really need to be more diligent with my gynecological health. But you know how it goes, the kids come first, moms come last.

And I am in the throes of perimenopause, hot flashes and all.

It is so unfortunate though that it is those very things that cause the most problems for most people...discussed or not.

though we need ask ourselves which denomination will we want in chqarge? Which church doctrine do we want to follow. Does the Protestant want to live by Catholic doctrine? Does the Catholic want to live by Baptist doctrine. If none of these denominations had any problem with the other's doctrine there would be only one church.

That is the very reason for the seperation of church and state in this country. So the state will not create, enforce and/or support any particular religious belief. That came about because King Henry VIII established the Church of England, so he would not be responsible to Catholic doctrine, and anyone who did not profess the Church of England was severly dealt with. Remember learning about the Spanish Inquisition?

Right now, in Iraq, there is and has been, a huge fight (literally) over which Islam faction will control political power. Remember these are all different factions under the same faith base waring over who will control the government of all.

And again and again, Iraq was not the country that Bin Laden ruled or the country that attacked us on 9/11. In fact Sadam and Bin Laden hated each other. Bin Laden believed Sadam was a traiter to Islam.

Morals in a country? YES! How? Not by a particular doctrine across the board. It hasn't ever and at this point doesn't look like it ever will bring peace to everyone.

Just as long as it isn't the Hare Krishnas, lol.

That was just a joke in case there are any lurking, which I highly doubt.

I'm sure she'll remember what i'm talking about - I wish I remembered it better, but it's something to do with standing on a cliff and learning to fly ... I don't know!!  Anyway, I would really appreciate it if you ask her about it.  Tell her I say HI, too!

How Porn Has Affected Our Relationship

I've been reading posts the past 2 wks. A poster said that porn ruins peoples marriages and makes them turn outside the relationship. Has anybody ever thought that maybe there are some marriages that thrive and have alot of fun using porn within it? So what if he uses it without me or while I'm gone. Sometimes I might use it when he's not around. Or if he's sleeping. Big deal!

Then I read too that alot of women say the men stop having sex with them and use the porn alone instead. If this happens its not because of the porn its because of the wife. She's either doing something thats pissing him off or treating him in a way that makes him feel bad. I've used porn with almost all the men I had relationships with. And I never had that be a problem. Maybe its because I didn't give them ultimatums and try to get them to do things they way I wanted them to. As long as they were always honest with me about their fidelity then I don't mind if they explore there sexuality through toys movies or mags.

Thats the fun naughty part of being an adult and being married! You both get to experiment with different erotica together and seperately. If one is tempted to be unfaithful or wants to experience sexuality with another person then I think honesty goes a long way. If a guy is always threatened by his wife that she'll leave him or cut him off if he uses porn or tries to explore his sexuality within the safety of the marriage then the guy is going to start hiding his feelings thoughts and actions from her. Then she gets pissy when she does find that he hid the porn! No matter what he does either be honest with her and tell her that he wants to use it without her then she gets hurt or he hides it so that it doesn't hurt her feelings then when she finds it she still is disapointed in him and sad anyway so he just can't win in my opinion.

All I know is I'm happy that I'm not like any of you. I love God just as much as the next person and live my life always trying to help people and doing whats right by my husband myself and the people I care about. Porn isn't about morality. Its about trusting your spouse to be all that they are while loving you at the same time. As long as there not unfaithful with another person or whatever your boundaries are then its all about trust. The wives who totally reject the idea of there husbands using porn without them is simply they don't trust them.

Your question

Quote From: darcylove

there sure hasn't been many new people posting and i read on your help board that some people were having problems getting a user name. Is this the reason for the lack of new people here?

The folks having a problem are members that had already had a name created previous to the move to the new boards. It appears many members no longer had access to the e-mail account they had originally registered with when creating their user name so they weren't able to receive the activation email.

To my knowledge, new users registering for the first tima are not having a problem, I think the slowness has a lot to do with the time of the year, summer months are always very slow. Things should start picking up once the new season launches September 12.
