Topic : Is This Normal Social Discussion

I watched that French sitcom "Les Bougon". Oh God, I laughed!!! They remind me of a French version of the Beverly Hillbillies. Rich with no social graces. The episode I saw is when they moved in this huge mansion in a rich cul-de-sac. The ladies from that area got a personal yoga trainer to come to Mrs. Bougon's house. Instead of doing yoga, the ladies sat there and talked about all kinds of social things. Ms. Bougon had her back on the floor with her legs on the couch with a cigarette in her hands. LOL!!! The Yoga instructor was sitting in lotus meditating. 

  

Mr. Bougon was working for this crooked furniture salesman. Not knowing any better, he conned Mr. Bougon in putting the sales under his name, so that if the customer had any complaints they would come to his boss. Later on he fired him because he didn't have enough sales. LOL!!! 

  

There was other stuff going on too. The neighbour was worried that they were going to devaluate their property because they sat on their front lawn in dilapidated furniture and drank beer and smoked all day.  LOL!!! 

  

OMG what a funny show!!!

One more comment on that. Now I remember why I don't watch the French station very much. I have a hard time with the strong Quebecois accent. They talk very fast and they use very different dialect than the Acadians. So it will take me a while to get used to it. I'm sure I'll catch on.

You actually look like the way I pictured you.  Kind, intelligent face and smile.  It's good to see you. 

  

Obviously I look nothing like my "avatar"!  Have never had a chest like that and lost my tail a long time ago.   Actually my daughter picked that out for me in 2001 when I joined the boards,  said it described my spirit and had DP Donna crop it for me.  I took it as a great compliment. 

  

Oh - your description of that French TV show - kind of reminds me of that old British comedy.  Can't remember the name now, but the main character was a lady named Mrs. Bucket.  She was quite pretentious and always trying to keep up with her upper class neighbours.  Insisted on everyone calling her Mrs.Beaucoup!     

Thanks for the pic you sent of the storm in Sydney.  You're quite far from there I hope. 

  

Good to hear that you're keeping up with your exercise plan.  As far as Mia Jade, well she's only six weeks old and has gained three pounds since her birth.  I'm going to have to stay on her good side, obviously, because at the rate she's going she'll be able to deck me when she's three-years-old!

Glad to hear that you are doing well and well if you think you need to go to the Gym, well then off you go and have fun while you're at it. It really can be a fun way to shape up thats forsure!! 

 

We didn't go to the Gym today but will be there tomorrow, had to go and get my eyes tested as I need new glasses. Luckly the new script isn't much stronger than what I have now, but I am getting new frames and are looking forward now to getting them. As I have had these glasses that I've got now for just over 3 years and seen as I've got to wear glasses all the time, I do like to update the frames now and then if you know what I mean!!

Yes, Mark and I are enjoying being back at the Gym, will be back there tomorrow. 

 

As to your Exercises, well there is more than one way to keep yourself and Ron fit, If you know what I mean!! You can burn off over 200 cal's in just one go!! LOL!! La La La!! 

 

So, how are your marriage plans going? Or are you going to leave it for awhile and then start getting things together?! I take it that A and M will be your flower girls, yes!! 

 

Stephanie will be a flowergirl next year, as a Necie of ours is getting married in April/May next year and would like to have Stephanie as her flowergirl so that will be exciting for Stephanie and me!! She will be around about 4 and a half by then, my goodness me!!

No worries about the picture, Mark sent it as I just asked him if he did as I don't remember me sending it!! No I don't have old timers disease, YET!! LOL!! Yes that storm did come through Sydney but it was just alot of rain, alittle lighting and noise but it wasn't too bad thank goodness!! 

 

Yes we are enjoying the Gym and it's good to be back into it!!  

 

Gee that six weeks has gone fast hasn't it, with Mia Jade it only seems like the other day that Shan had her, wow!!

Well, I have a new avatar only because I was unable to post my "pretty" face. A couple of you cropped it for me from the Christmas picture I emailed but I couldn't get it to work here, so I have this new one since I deleted my old one and now cannot find it again. Arrrrrgggghhhh!  

  

Oh well. Hubby is happy anyway since he was worried someone would fall in love with my picture and sweep me away...  AS IF!!! 

  

But now I have this cute active avatar. It still fits. : )
