I STILL love my little bluebird. I'm all over the end (like you haven't noticed! lol) and every time I see it I love her! She's so dang cute!

Hi sweetie!  Just wanted to say that I got the pics from KAK of your wedding.  (Thank you KAK!)  My gosh, you looked so beautiful!  And Ron is definitely a keeper!  KAK and Stan the Man didn't look too shabby either...  it's my fervent wish that you all hold that happiness and keep that look in your eyes forever.

 

I've got lots to report but it's late and I have to catch up on my sleep while I can.

and she stays that way all yr round. So I went down to the ocean and got in the shade for a few hours waiting for Mary Jo and Patricia to come down. They didn't for hrs so I went to find Betty and hung out at the pool. They do so many fun things there. They do yoga and then water arobics and I jump in to do it. It was hard! Then Betty comes in and she's so much fun they messed with her alot. One of the things you have to do is get a partner, wrap your arms and drag your partner to the other side, and it's a race. Betty and I took last place. Cos of her! lol Then trivia and they kept asking nationalities. Lots of people are topless and one guy told us that they do it all over the world and only Americans comment on it. I thought that strange. Apparently wer'e prudes!

 

So we go to dinner and I really don't see me as high falutin but they simply embarrased me. Betty knocked over a glass of red wine. It was an all inclusive but some items were at a cost and they made such a fuss over it. I ordered escargot cos I love that and Mary Jo and Patricia were horrified. I'm like soooo embarrased by them all with alot of stuff, AND they don't tip.! I waited tables for 14 yrs and raised my kids on tips so I'm tipping enough to cover them. That didn't last long cos I ran out of money two times!

I posted the first day but apparently didn't send it. I know ya'll just can't figure out how such the thing can happen. So here goes again.

 

We drove to Cinncinati airport to catch the Charter and had dinner on the shore. Then walked across the bridge. I've never done that before. Lot's of things I'd never done before on this trip. It was really neat. ....heck. I'd typed alot more than this and now I forget. Maybe I should do this tomorrow. Sorry kids. I waited forever for V's. Bear with me. At least I'm trying.

The first day they put us in horrible rooms and we went to the desk and said it was not acceptable. They gave us two rooms, one with a balcony, and one with an ocean view. Our airconditioning did not work! We gave them the balcony room cos Mary Jo's 67  and who knows if she'll ever go on another trip. They had air conditioning too! So Betty and I are at the bar drinking margarita's (did ya'll know it's 800 calories?! I thought it was fruit juice and tequlia!) and I told her there was no way we could sleep in that room and let's just sleep on the lawn chairs. THe entertainers were wonderful and I was telling them that and they asked why we weren't at the show. We didn't know they had one so they took us to it and it was definately Las Vegas entertainment. We looked over and they had these king size beds over to the side with the flowing shear curtains on ropes. So I of course said "Let's sleep here!" Betty's game for anything so we're swinging in our beds and it became real obvious that it was a love nest. That was the most romantic place I've ever been to. So we exit stage right and went to the room and apparently they fixed the a/c OR we'd had enough margaritas.

That place was fabulous! It's a hugh park and you could spend three days there and not see everything. I swam with dolphins (first time ever) They also had this helment that you put on your head that has an air pipe and you walk on the ocean floor holding on a rail with fish swimming all around. That was really cool. My friends didn't do either so I got much wet of course. The weather was really really hot and they were wore out badly. So they decided that we were going on a free boat ride and we had to get there. My ol my how hard that was. I kept running ahead to find places for MJ to sit. She said at one time "I'm 67! Do you KNOW how close to 70 that is? You're gonna feel it one day and you'll know." We get there and it's actually a gonzala ride and they said it was supposed to be serene and encouraged silence. We all looked at each other like "yea right. Like that can happen." Then off to dinner. It was so hot you guys. I've always had this thing about putting ice down my bra when it's like that and they all were doing it too. Once again no tipping. Killing me. And of course we're drinking. So there was this hugh show but it was all in Spanish and all pagentry and at the end the whole audience erupted in songs. it was so cool. I'd gotten lost from my friends for like two hours and went to the place where we were to meet to catch the bus. But not before stopping to shop and they cut prices alot cos it was the end. Betty knew a place where we could get some beer from another bus driver next to ours so we sat with a bunch of people till our bus  filled. Great fun all that day.

Betty and I hit the beach with me under the umbrella and her roasting in the sun. More beds with flowing white shears, wonderful day, hot, but beautiful. Vendors walk by with they're wares and of course we're ready and are buying every thing. They told it was real silver but we later discovered it wasn't. We're bargaining left and right and getting money from each other and now broke, but they kept coming and left stuff  for us to pay the next day. Some things were free cos we were getting them drinks. lol

 

The next day we wanted to parasail and cos I tip they took great care of us. We had to go on a jet ski (which neither one of us have ever done) to a boat to another parasail boat. When the second boat found out that we tipped he told his partner "American woman tips" and he gave us a heck of a ride. We were squealling with delight. And we hadn't had anything to drink cos you just don't drink when you know you're gonna do that. Gosh what fun. Betty thru the camera on the boat cos she didn't want to carry it so we didn't get that view. That's a shame.

And went on a glass bottom boat to go snorkeling. Gosh that was great too! The water was so warm but it started raining and you could feel how cold the rain was. The people on the boat were freezing cold and dripping wet. They feed the fish so they'll swarm around and have divers who's job it is to take our pics. Like 12 of them that spread out to all the boats. On the way back in it was raining hard and we were flippin freezing so I got in one of the compartments and asked for beer. And then another, and then another. When we got back to shore it'd stopped raining and they locked in alot of dolphins. That was cool. So I'm feeling no pain and we're shopping, not a good thing when I'm drinking. I even bought a cowboy hat! Alot of people wear them, and I think they're cute. Mexican's a pulling us in to they're shops and we just got tired of it and hungry. So we went to Senyor Frogs. That place rocked!!!! We had soooo much fun there. They play all kinds of games and do all kinds of dirty danceing. The waiters have to dance with the patrons. It was wild. So we now need to get back to the boat or they swore they'd leave us. Betty found a cute little kids store (she has 4 grandbabies )so I told her to meet me at the pier. I crossed the street and it was hard kinda and Betty had drank alot so the was a police man standing there and I described her and asked him to make sure she got across. He asked where I was going and I told him and he said "To the boats?" Yes. It was the wrong pier, so I ran back across and couldn't find her so you practically had to run to get there . I'm telling you we got so much excercise on this trip! lol Alot. Seriously. I'm saving Betty a place and talking to this couple about everything. Oh that's right. I get to the meeting place and the organizing dude said "Janet? Where's Betty?! That happened at Xcaret too! lol I told him I had the police looking for her. Got up one time and went to the back and people were teasing me and I asked em to help me if they saw her. So I'm running at the mouth to this couple and turn around again to find Betty and she was sitting about 6 isles behind me. I go "There she is! Betty I saved you a seat." Well she wasn't coming near me. So I bought her a beer, ran out the mouth with that couple and after I knew she'd drank the beer went back and explained what happened.  So she wasn't pissed anymore. I mean I had the police looking for her.
