Hey all, just thought I'd check in for a bit. Haven't had much time to myself this trip, but Mom and Erin are off to see "Kit" at the movies and get dinner after, and a friend of mine will pick me up in an hour for dinner. So, I've got the hosue to myself!
Ami, sorry to hear about your surgery, but it does seem as though it might be the answer to some of your problems. I sure hope so!
Kelly, sorry I forgot to mention Steph's birthday -- I was thinking about her though!! Today is Erin's "half-birthday"; she was asking me today if I had a present for her. Uh..... I'll definitely be keeping Mark and your whole family in my prayers.
JP, you are just as crazy as ever, I can hardly keep up with you! How's your foot?
Loretta, I always enjoy your posts - like a bit of fresh air. How is your friend doing? E-mail me if you want to.
KAK, Glad to see you around. How goes the battle.
Trace - we miss you!
Vicki, You know, everytime you say you're at work and nobody's there, THAT'S when a tour bus pulls up. Is that what happened this time, also? Enjoy the zoo.
Well, the short version from me this time... Had a party here at Mom's on Friday and it was a smashing success. Well, you probably saw what I wrote about that in Ami's e-mail. It really was fun. Mom and I went through the list of invitees, and counted that there were 32 people, including one dog and the three of us. We half-joked that those who didn't respond would be dropped from the list next time. You know, our parties are obviously THE place to be. Bad manners will not be rewarded. ;-)
After that, we went up to the family's cabin to recover. Erin and I joined the cousins for a short, but fairly strenuous hike up to "Bald Rock". Feels like the top of the world there. Got a look at some smoke from a nearby fire also. Then Erin took her cousin and great aunt out on the rowboat. Oh, and there was a rousing game of Pictionary, too. It was a nice getaway. Tomorrow, we head home and I really can't wait. It'll be nice to see our own house and our kitties again. Ralph sent me an email, saying he wished he could have been at the party and that he was missing me. :-D Erin will be leaving on Saturday for nine days, and I hope to spend some time with him while she's gone. So, life is good!
Ta ta for now!
