WHAT is up with that pic?! You trying to tell us something there girlfriend?

Erin goes back on the 14th, and she'll be in Winnipeg with her Dad from the 2nd, until the 11th.  I'm pretty sure this summer has set a record for how fast it's gone by.  But in many ways, that has been a good thing...

I'm thinking that pic represents the sign of Gemini - the twins.  Anyone born in May?  Or maybe it's for the twins A&M?

 

Either that, or someones got some interesting ideas going on... ;-)

honestly I think they should keep them in until the end of may and back in end of aug or beginning of sept, like after labor day.

Summer really didn't start here until July.....so this just sucks!! 

We are heading out tomorrow morning for Calgary and will be back on Monday.  It will be a whirlwind trip forsure, but I was surprised Ron even wanted to venture that way.....

I bet Erin will have loads of fun in Winnipeg....they do have a big zoo there!

Anyways, got some laundry and packing to do.

That's how it was when I went to school! We always finished about June 7, and started the day after Labor Day.  I can't really imagine why it has to be different all over the place.  On the other hand, when we went to DisneyWorld a couple of years ago, I was really glad that school got out a little early, so we could scoot down there and beat *some* of the crowds...

 

At any rate, I'm looking forward to school starting again.  I guess I feel that will be The Marker that means everything is finally back to normal.  Chemo is finished - no more company - no more trips out of town - back to work full-time (along with a bigger paycheck) - hair growing back - homework.  Oh yeah, well I could do without that last part.  Teehee.  Luckily, Erin is a good student, and doesn't generally have trouble with homework, but I know 5th grade will probably mean more time needed for homework every night, and it's always just a chore (for both of us) to fit that into the schedule.

 

Have a great time in Calgary.  I'm sure Erin will have a good time. Don't know if their planning to go to the zoo, they'll be in a rented cabin at a lake somewhere near Winnipeg - any idea where that might be?

I second Loretta's thoughts.  I know this is a hard day for you, but we're all here holding your hand.  Before you know it, Mark will be home safe and sound.

You will be strong while Mark's away.  You will take Stephanie to school and laugh and hug her when she comes home and tells you stories about the other kids.  You will go on your power walks now - and boot it!

 

I honestly think, and although you and I have never met,  that Mark married you for all of the right reasons.  Love was the foremost.  Your bawdy sense of humour was a plus.  And the fact that he and you have this little daughter together, and he trusts you to take care of the both of you...

 

Smile, be well and hold Stephanie's hand.  Mark will be fine and will come home.
