Just a short note to let you all know, that my very dear Dad passed away this last Friday evening.

I was there with him, when he slipped from this life to the next and I'm so glad that I was there to tell him just how much I love him and what a wonderful Father he was and a very loving Dad.

He is now at peace and no longer suffering. God Bless him now and Forever, very sadly missed and very much loved.

Take Care, Love Kelly.

Kelly, know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It is such a hard thing isn't it? Even harder to watch those you love suffer. Somewhere there is Shadow, Cy and your dad all running and playing together. And no one is pain or suffering.

Hugs,

~Ami

What do you think about the elections? I can't believe what a prize McCain found in Palin! I have sent money to the republican campain for the first time in my life! I am so excited about thier message and I do believe they'll change alot of things if the get in. All for the good! I so value integrity and both have shown that's what they are all about. I mean Palin put her jet on ebay!!!! And fired her cleaning staff and the chef. Pssshhhh! Imagine what she'll do when she gets in?  I loved how they are saying "I am here to serve". Love it!

Like you JP, I'm thrilled. Several months ago a list of 42 potential vp candidates was on MSNBC, along with their biographies both political and personal. I was fascinated and read each one carefully. (There was the same type listing for vp possibilities for the Democratic party also).

I told Raj months ago that Sarah Palin should be the choice. Wish I had a bookie that had been taking book on it! LOL! My second choice would have been Bobby Jindal, though he is very young. We will see him in the future though, I feel sure of that. But over all Palin has been my choice for VP from the beginning. I am very happy to see a woman on the ticket, and one that is into family, one that is dealing with the same issues as family (teen pregnancy, son in Iraq, etc, etc). I like that she is plain spoken and has no airs about her.

I also like that the media is a total failure in trying to demean her children. Bastages one and all! Have I told you all how much I hate the media??? Oh yeah I have. hehe Anyway I like her, I think the two of them will be great for this country.

Janet contributing to the campaign is as good a way to spend money as any. I see it as an investment in this country. Isn't that what all campaign contributions from the small guy like us are really? Sure, so there is no shame is supporting what you believe in. I am looking for a sign for my yard, something I have never ever done. But I told Raj to be finding us one. I am thrilled that we have a strong ticket for a conservative team. I'm a moderate conservative plain and simple and I love this team! =)

I really think I am most happy that Sarah Palin isn't a feminist by feminist standards. That is most refreshing. Yup, I'm happy with a hockey mom, after all being a mom is a job I love why shouldn't our leaders love it too? =) My personal motto to my family is "I am here to serve".....I love it too!!

Hehe, I'm doing surgery prep today (40 gallons of laxatives...sheese) so no one can claim I am full of sh*t either. =P LMAO!!

Love you all!

~Ami

May you find some peace now in knowing that he doesn't suffer pain anymore.

Kelly - what is your father's name? It would be nice for us to know.

I hug you with all my heart.,

Surgery

So this time tomorrow I will absent 2 ft of colon and enjoying the good drugs. ;)

I will have Raj email a mass mailing. So if you guys get a strange email with the same last name as mine in the addy know it is him letting you all know.

As much as it might be appropriate to relegate him to the spam box, well this time it would be about me and I neva belong in the spam box!! hehe

Dang it, now the mention of spam has made me hungry and the protocal is no food today, only clear liquids till midnight. Then no food or drink for the next 3 days. eeeewwww. I ate chocolate cake with caramel icing at midnight. We raised our forks to my "last supper" and chowed down on cake. lol

Anyway like I said I'm going to fix him a list. Let's just hope he does it. =)

Hugs to all, thanks for all the well wishes. I do feel good about this, only dread the soreness and recovery but that is little enough in the big picture. And you know what, after I get over this the next thing is the teeth. I can hardly wait!!!

Ami love the attitude!

How long will you be in the hospital? It's a normal procedure that they've done thousands upon thousands of times. I can't wait till you tell us how great you feel when it's all said and done. I bet you feel so good very soon after the surgery that you won't even notice so much the surgery recovery!  When I had my colonoscopy and had to take Mirlax it wasn't that big a deal. I just drank till I threw up and stopped. No big deal at all. Couldn't believe it was to everyone else. I was  like "What are ya'll talkin about?!" Like I didn't do it right or something. I'll be thinking about you all day. I'm so grateful I'm off at 6 tomorrow so I can see you're doing well. Love you sweetie! *hugs*

I am so sorry for your loss.  Your dear father is much happier now.  He was way too young to be taken away from his family.

Love from across the ocean!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  I know that it's terribly difficult, and my heart goes out to you.  Stay strong and lean on Mark for now.  I know that it will also be difficult when Mark has to leave again, but you're stronger than you know and I know that you'll get through this.

One day at a time...

((((((hugs))))))

Loretta and Trace

Thank you for your kitty stories of a few days ago.  I enjoyed them so much, and appreciate your sharing.  Pets are awfully important in our lives, aren't they?  And the lucky ones, the ones who get to have loving homes like yours.... well, they'll always find their way back to that warmth and safety.
