Oh let's see... Vicki, I am so happy that everything is now official. I can't wait to hear all the details of the plans, and you just have to send a pic of the ring!

Kelly, glad to see you back again -- I'm glad you had a great time. I can just imagine the good it did all of you to have that time together. I'm looking forward to having you back on the board on a regular basis.

Tap, have you seen Pepe lately? I bet you're missing him. Sounds like you better get a bag packed, so you can hop on the back of Battle's hog when he zooms by! Ok, so it's not a hog, but it sounded good anyway.

Sue, thanks so much for popping in to say hello. I sure do miss seeing you more often. I know those darling boys are keeping you busy. Please know that I think of you often.

KAK, thanks SO much for the trip down memory lane. Not that life in the "house" isn't great, but those were the good old days, huh? I believe I started posting around Oct or Nov 2001 also. Yikes, but that was a rough time, and the people here really pulled me through. Thanks for your part in that, sister-friend.

JP, thanks for everything. I'm glad you're knee is only a 3, oops, I mean a 7! Hopefully it will keep getting better, so you'd better take care, given how much time you spend dancing on ping pong tables. tee hee.

Trace, dear one. What fantastic news -- I'm betting that your brother just jumped in and said, "damn, why didn't you say something sooner!?!" Thank goodness that all that business can finally be put to rest. You know I know the what-fors about mothers -- you can't live with 'em, but you damn sure can't live without 'em. Or is that the one about men? Well, you know what I mean. It's always great to recognize our own blessings, but even better is to see the blessings raining down on those we love. For you it's "she of the feather boa", the wild and crazy brother, the beautiful and talented daughter, and the sublime granddaughter. Not to mention the ever-present optimism and humour. Mother Teresa? hysterical, but that's not you, no, no -- You, my friend, are one of a kind, not to be compared to or confused with anyone else. XOXOXO

Battle -- always nice to see your unique personality shining through every word you write, and not a bad smile either. ; ) You and the others here, have been a lifeline for me at many times. I do hope it will be possible to meet you in person someday (just like every other single soul here!) and give you a hug.

As for me, I'm settling in to tax season mode, which is not altogether a bad thing. Honestly, it is waaaaay better than crazy holiday mode! Here's the latest twist for me... I've had the thought of moving. This would only be if Erin's dad decided to move away, which is a possibility, but there's no telling what the odds of that are. And not to CA, either, which I know is what every one of my family and friends would expect. If I had my druthers I would move to Durango, CO, a place I've only visited twice, but I simply love. I think that, if nothing else, I just like the idea of having a plan, crazy as it might be, that I can be excited about, instead of sitting back and waiting for something to happen.

Ah, it feels like 2006 is bringing with it the winds of change... and I'm starting to look forward to whatever blows my way...
