I see lots has been going on.....and I've been missing out...lol

Its been a busy time for me with my bro and his fam here, so we have been partying waaaayyyyyy toooooo much.  Now back to the real world of school.

Trace - I could picture myself laying on Sue and Norms bed listening to the water...lmao...I would have been up peeing with you as well.  That is funny.  So where did they sleep?  Tell us more....I'm so excited the 2 of you finally met.  (mind you a bit jealous too...) 

I applied for a part time job as a security guard...I got the job....I had my first 4 hour shift yesterday.....I think my ass grew 4 inches in those 4 hours....I sat on it the whole time....it was so boring...the ladies were lovely...the pay is not worth my drive there and back....I have to phone them today and tell them I just can't do the job, simply because of the 1 hour drive for such little pay....and damn was it boring.  I was there for training and all I learnt how to do was look at the security cameras AND press the button to lift the gate up and down.  I felt like an idiot as my ass was getting larger by the hour.

HEY....I HAVE DSL....FINALLY....I CAN TALK ON THE PHONE...TYPE ON MY COMPUTER....DO THE LAUNDRY...WATCH TV....DO THE DISHES....AND BE ON THE COMPUTER.  OK, really the only added thing was the phone....BUT I AM SO EXCITED....IT IS SO FAST....I will probably have whiplash by the end of the day.

so things are going great with my bro and family...the s.i.l. gets on my nerves, but i'm learning to ignore it.  The other day she hit a nerve...but I left the room....went and packed my things as we were leaving that day anyways...and left shortly thereafter.  But anyways, I just don't think its worth the effort to get mad/irritated/annoyed, or whatever.  Have fun....have a drink....I dunno...somehow its just not as bothersome as I had imagined it all to be.  They are all coming here this weekend...my parents included. 

Now I best get some studying done.

A big HOWDY to you all.  I don't have time to personally send you all a message....I will later on when I get caught up on my schooling....I hate being so far behind.

Good girl, you are exactly right V it is not worth the drama and trauma to even acknowledge that she gets to you. Smile and move on. The moving on part is important, you don't want to give her an attentive audience, she will think it is ok to continue hehe. So going and packing was a great idea! Productive for you and that is what is important. When family is getting on my nerves I have the awfulest urge to clean things, like windows and ceiling fan blades. They suddenly must be done right then. All the time I am silently chanting "I want that serenity mentioned in that prayer thingy about what you can't change you pray for the serenity to deal with....praying for serenity, hear ye hear ye now praying for serenity". My mind soon wanders to the internal discussion with myself whether serenity is a real thing or praying for it just saves sister in laws lives. Who knows, but certainly sils the world over should be grateful!!

Ok so we are off once again for the weekend. Our second anniversary is tomorrow....yeah two years, unbelievable. Anyway we and J-B are heading to Chimney Rock Park, love that place and word is it is going to be sold to private developers in the near future. Which really bites big ones. If you have seen the movie "Last of the Mohicans" you have seen Chimney Rock Park, the run along the ridge of rock mountain side was filmed there and it is a magnificent view and park. Anyway I love it and hate to see developers and greed cost the public this beautiful site but I feel it will go by the wayside. The owners are asking three times what the state feels they can offer for it so the family has announced it is ending the lease they had with the state and putting it on the block. 1000 acres of the most beautiful mountains....sigh. Anyway I am off we are going to camp for the weekend, get our pics enjoy the park for what maybe the last time we can and celebrate Raj's b-day (19th) and our anniversary (22nd).

So just when I need it most I come here and read about serenity.  Thanks Ami for reminding me to seek serenity.  It's the wisdom to know the difference that always messes me up!  So I think that not too long ago I posted about how I think I finally got the whole expections and family bull down.  Well of course they are back at it but instead of making me nuts for weeks it is just days now.  My wonderful husband is wondering how I ended up as semi normal as I am?!?

Anyway my family is driving me nuts (they can be not very nice) and the other day it is really getting to me.  So I call a friend, now this is a friend that I have had since I was 12 and she reminds me that they are all nuts and have been for years.  Boy did it help hearing it from someone who has been there with me.  Today it dawns on me, I've got an amazing group of friends, some since I was a kid, others for a lot less and that I did not get to pick my family but I sure did pick a great bunch of friends.  They don't have to love me but they do anyway.  Okay enough of that crap.

Trace, how is it that you can tell a story about the cable guy not showing up and it leaves me wanting more!!!!  I truly value a great story teller and you are one!  I love to read a good story and usually I don't care what catagory it falls under as long as it is told well.  Probably why although I really don't like horror that I can enjoy Stephen King.  It is all in the telling.  So Trace, keep telling.

Hope everyone is doing well.  Even with the crap my family is throwing at me I'm doing well.  Only took me 40 years to figure out that the family I have made is the one that truly matters. 

My oldest has a birthday coming up and we are hosting a bunch of giggling girls for a sleep over this weekend.  Something tells me that sleep will be the last thing occuring.  Knowing how happy she is about this helps me to realize just how wonderful this life really is.  Don't ask me if I feel that way on Sunday though.

Oh you have been a very good girl, biting your tounge around your S.I.L good on you I say!! I guess if you have to let something off your chest so to speak, I'm sure Ron will not mind you talking to him, as it's better to get it off your chest then to let it build up and up and then one day do something or say something to your S.I.L that you will regret, if you know what I mean there!!

Sometime's S.I.L's think that they know best or better, BUT they don't, believe me on this one. Mark's sister most of the time is really great BUT then there are times when she puts her nose in where it doesn't belong and that gets on my goat as well as Mark's, LOL!!

Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you are having a great time catching up with your dear brother and I bet that the month that he and his family are there is going way too fast at times, would I be right there?!
