I'm imagining it too!

Once before we were having a contest and I told my coworker's I intended to win it. This one guy told me he'd cut my legs off and I told him I'd get a skateboard and run around that way. "Ya think they'd remember me then?!" So it progressed and they said I'd have one of those wire's with a yellow flag and all you'd see is the flag zooming around at 40 miles an hour. Now that's funny! And so me! lol I would be a force to be reckoned  with.  One of the guys said he'd tell my customers he'd tell them he was the mgr and could get a discount. I mean really. He's messing with the disabled. What's that say about his character? Course this is the Larry you all have heard about. It's gonna be interesting.

Hi guys!

Ok so sorry I have been run to death with all this 8th grade graduation stuff! I had forgotten that transition to high school is a big deal and suddenly there were awards days, banquets, etc to see to and to polish up John for! ;)

He has cleaned up this year. I knew he was in orchestra, but wow he did so in academics too! I am sad to say I am not a parent that gets all into report cards, in fact I rarely look at them. But turns out John won the Presidential Excellence award! Which is a cumulative award that covers three years. It translates to all As and Bs in 6th-8th grades and scores on his CTBS testing (what we used to call achievement tests) above the 85 percentile. LOL, all I ever notice is when I get an email that he has late homework. I am such a lousy mother! =P

So today is his last day of school in middle school....I don't know about you guys but I went to Jr. High ....but they call it middle school. Anyway he will officially be in high school after today. And because GA education powers are morons he has to do summer school to get his PE and Health in because GA has too many graduation requirements and if a kid does any electives like music...they won't have enough credits to graduate. Is that nuts or what?? <sigh> Not to mention it is costing $400 to do that. What happened to free public education?!  grrrr....

Last night was his orchestra banquet. It was a crazy, in the middle of it all a tornado went over and we all had to evacuate to the basement and stay there about a half hour. Then we came up and continued. Unreal!!  So not only did John shine and win the Director's Award, along with all his other stuff, all the excitement with a tornado at hte same time has made it a night to remember!

We didn't actually have any damage other than some hail but there was one sighted a few miles from us and it did get black as night outside. Very spooky! (And some people acted plain silly over it all....sheese....if it is your time to go then it is your time to go and squealing and whining isn't going to change it...<rolls eyes>).

Anywhodywho that is the latest. Nuts to say the least. Oh and Raj....he went to see his best friend last weekend to help rewire his house where lightening ran in on it. And when he was leaving to head home his bud told him he was starting chemo this week for liver cancer. Needless to say Raj is torn up, this has been a bad blow. =(

Okies so I am in on the Derby partay!!!!!!!!!

Huggles, be back laters!

Help!

So I'm at work zipping around in my scooter (damn that thing is fast!), selling and not in pain, and having mucho fun. My assistant mgr called me in her office and it seems they're scared that the safety guy that was in there isn't sure it's safe for me. (Seems a child may jump on it and hurt themselves). Now this just is not right!!! I have a dr's appt tomorrow and I'm going to tell him to put me on full time with a scooter. Now I already asked the store mgr if I could do this and he said yes, but the "boys" are jealous ONCE AGAIN and I'm just sick of it. So? Any suggestions? I told me asst mgr that there was no way that my dr would let me come back to work full time without it. I'm on B plan insurance cos I'm part time and I may have to have more surgery, and you can only claim disability once a yr.

My dr put me back to work too early. Enter ME and ya'll know I have alot of energy and I probably did do more than I should. I did try really hard to be calm and I did take it easy as much as I could. I have a to do list that I'm going very slow at and really, really behaving now.

Did I say Help?!

I looked it up!

The disability act! Tada! They can't do squat! lol Not only that, but they are required to PURCHASE what I need! Now I probably won't ask that, cos I'm a nice girl, even though they are the cause of this condition. Moral of the story? I get to work!!!!

Sheese JP

People are just dumb aren't they? "A child may jump up on it..." Hell a child may walk through a plate glass door too, does that mean they are going to take out all the doors in the place? Or whoops a child might jump on a couch and bounce right off into the corner of an end table....doh...hell Janet you guys better just get rid of your inventory in fact because it just isn't safe for a child at all in there!!!

What a bunch of idiots. Sorry you are having to deal with them. I can't stand idiots.

Huggles,

Concerned about Neecie...

Has anyone heard from her at all tonight?? That gigantic tornado in CO was on it's way to her community if I heard right. =(

I am worried.

oh goodness!

Ami, I got your e-mail last night and responded, but I didn't realize anyone here was worried about me.  Maybe you past on my e-mail to the others.  But just in case... you were right to be worried, but everything is OK here.  The tornado first touched down 15 miles north of here, and then headed north from there.  It did the most damage in Windsor, which is a small town just to the southwest of Fort Collins.  A liitle too close for comfort, but I was blissfully unaware when it was happening.  Saw the news reports later, along with everyone else.  Today I drove up that way, but my  commute to work, which is the same to chemo, doesn't follow the tornado's path, so I didn't see any damage whatsoever.

So not to worry, we're just fine!!
