Do you believe the saying, "Once a cheater, always a cheater"? Or can a two-timing womanizer change his ways for good? When Dyson last spoke with Dr. Phil, he stormed off stage after his wife, Rebecca, learned the truth about his recent affairs, just eight months after their wedding. Now, Dyson is back, ready to stay seated and learn how he can change his behavior, get out of the dog house and save his marriage. Then, Corey had the courage to face his revenge-seeking ex-girlfriend the last time he was on the show, but was unprepared for how the public and local media would respond to his story. Corey says his job as a firefighter was made more difficult when his dating behavior made the front page news. Now, Corey returns to show people that there's a whole lot more to him than his dating mistakes. Is it enough to save his reputation? Share your thoughts, join the discussion.

11/29 Out of the Doghouse

Glad to see Dyson and all the other cheating men out there now have an Excuse for their behavior and his wife now has a justifacation to stay with him, no fuss no muss.  Now they've had their fifteen minutes, lets move on ( sorry that guy drives me NUTS with his arrogance and egotism).

Now for this comment, I'm sure there will be many to say how THEY have succeeded, and there will be many teens to say how MATURE they are, but here's my opinion,

ANYONE who is above the age of twenty one, should NOT be trolling the High Schools for their mates, girlfriends whatever.  When a fifteen year old brings home her twenty something boyfriend, shouldn't her parents be questioning WHY a woman his own age dosen't want him ?

Thirty and eighteen, not a whole lot better, what could you possibly have in common ?

From the school of hard knocks, I will say its a control thing, plain and simple.  A teen, unless you are their parent, is easy to control they love deeply, everything is an extreme to them, they know all, any parent of teens knows THAT, but they don't have the experience to understand what they're in for, and so they are MUCH easier to control than a woman who has been on her own and has been around the block a few times, a teen will stroke his ego, put up with his dramatics and give him ANYTHING he wants to keep him.  Especially if she's lacking attention at home, or she hasn't been taught self respect.

Parents I urge you to question the man YOURSELF, get involved or face the fallout, and Gentlemen, Stay the HELL away from the High Schools and get serious therapy.

I have one at home also!

I understand what his wife is going through. Because the guy I'm dating right now is the same way. He has the same problems and I tried to talk to him about his childhood and things in his past to help him understand what he does to women when he is dating them and then going on his own to do the things that the woman that he is dating wouldn't do to him. But I feel he doesn't want to change him self. But it has came to the point that he will always be alone if something does not change. He was abuse in his childhood and in his marriage before by his ex-wife. I think he needs some help, but he has to want the help. But now that I'm standing up letting him know what I want and how a man is to act with his woman.

Today

Quote From: task_force_9

I watched the show today-about those guys following up- first of all, for those who critize the fire department that he works at is wrong.  I am a female and I am also a firefighter. Let him have his personal life and live it how he wants and definitly DO NOT critize the fire dept for hiring him-he could be one of the best firefighters ever.  I am 20yrs old and the guy that I am dating is 38yrs old.  The same age difference as Corey and Ashley.  Are you going to say that I am immature because I'm young? People's lives are put in my hands everyday and you have to be mature to be able to handle that. If you love the person why should age matter as long as you are legally of age?

I agree with you. Love doesn't have an age limit. I am a 21 y/o woman who is madly in love with my boyfriend of three years. He is 49 y/o! Who's to say that I am any different from any other person. I am not immature because I am young. He isn't gross from loving me or being with me. I was 18 and he was 47 when we met. Yes, when I realized I had feelings for this wonderful guy, I was like wait a second here, is this right, But I knew in my HEART that if didn't give it a chance that i would always wonder, what if?? So I took a chance, dove in and I am happy! Yes, there are problems in every relationship but isn't it worth seeing if something is there?? Yes, we both have had different experiences in life, and he has had WAY more than me, but we have so many of the same interests and both have the same opinions! I do have to admit that he was in a very unhappy marriage at the time when I met him, but i never ONCE imposed on that marriage. We didn't get together physically until he left his marriage. We were emotionally involved, but I had enough respect for his wife and myself not to do that.  I think people can have all the opinions in the world about things, but how can one really judge a person about their love life, if its legal. Just because a person is younger or older and with a person that is much older or younger makes them bad.  Bottom line, its nobody's business who we date and what the age difference is as long as its legal!

I sat and listened to Corey, and I am sure he feels justified in his relationship with an 18 yr old.  The part that I found interesting when he referred to other relationships he said he was involved with a woman for 6 years.  However  when he refers to Ashley he calls her a "girl".  He wants to defend her and comment how mature she is so why is she not a woman then?

I think men like Corey become involved with younger females because they find it easier to relate to someone who idolizes them.  A mature woman would see him as a firefighter and discuss it or talk about other topics.

The whole "no baggage" statement comes from many men who can't handle situations that may arise from women having had past relationships and emotional scars or God forbid, children.  That statement  "baggage refers to both of issues".  I know I had a friend who found a woman who had "no baggage"  that is how he explained his reason for getting involved with this particular woman on a serious level.  His past was very colourful and I guess was not ready to deal with someone who may have had a past such as his.

Regardless of age, Corey should make his intentions clear before a "girl" thinks they are dating exclusively.  Then he may not have to worry about them climbing in his window or going on national television for revenge...

You hit it right on the head with that one.

11/29 Out of the Doghouse

Quote From: luvlapband

I can't believe is that this man (Corey) who is a fightfighter, has been painted by the media and his community as a person who is somehow less worthy of the publics respect with regard not only to his job, but as a decent  human being based SOLEY on the fact that he's dated an 18 year old.

How many of you people who are sitting in judgement on this man would give a big rats butt if he's dating 18 year olds IF.....one night your house catches on fire and he's the one there to pull you and your family to safety? OR.....perhaps your having a family gathering out in the backyard and discover that a family members child has fallen into the pool and this man is the one to bring that child back to life? How many of you would care who he's dating if your in an auto accident and he's first on scene to pull your judgmental behinds out of the wreckage......I'm betting there isnt' a one of us here who would look at him and say...oh no, I'll wait, please dont' save me because I don't agree with your dating habits. PLEASE people.....get a life!

In addition. I suppose that those of you here who are of such high moral standards have not now nor will EVER... be tuning in to Larry King who happens to be married to a woman young enough to be his daughter, you won't be watching Tom Cruise in any of his movies being he's just married a woman who although isn't 18 years old...she's definately young enough to be his daughter and what about Michael Douglas? Is he not married to a woman much much MUCH younger than himself? Demi Moore is married to a MUCH younger man herself as are many many other stars yet no one raises questions about that.

Amazing........

I could not agree with you more-you nailed it right on the dot!!!!!!!!! Thank you for unstanding us and if you too are a firefighter-whether paid or volunteer-thank you. We are a band of brothers and sisters and when push comes to shove, we will always have each others backs.

I completely disagree!

No way Dr. Phil - you are wrong!

I expect my priest, my doctor, my congressman, and all people who serve the public to hold themselves at a very high standard. It is ridiculous that this fireman's personal behavior shouldn't reflect on how people view him.  We, as a society, should hold the people who work for government or those who serve the public at a higher standard.

My son's father is a police officer and he is the deadest of deadbeat dads. He never sees his child and doesn't want to. But he volunteers and spends time with the kids in his community and never wastes an opportunity to have his picture taken doing so whenever there is a photo opportunity.

He is the biggest hippocrite!  Not everyone who wears a  uniform and badge are good people.

As for the fireman on your show - a cheater is a cheater - Get real !

Dear Corey---

I am sicked by your incredible arrogance and lack of consideration for anyone other than yourself...where do you think young girls develop "baggage"?  PLEASE don't give yourself too much credit for being in a "helping" profession.  You are just  a player, and the firefighting story plays well with women, as you have discovered.  But PLEASE do not expect us to respect you when you have shown such distain and lack of respect  for women. If you were proud of your dating behavvior, you'd have told the women involved about your dating "habits".

Also, get over yourself!!  If I saw you with an 18 year old I would think she was your DAUGHTER....and I agree....Dr Phil, you were way too easy on this "love muffin".....I think Robin would have been able to help this jerk develop some insight as to WHY we don't admire or respect him.  He hasn't got a clue!

Been Cheated On Now Really Scared

This show was hard to watch for me today because I am going through the exact same thing.  I have been with a man for two years, got engaged, and now just found out that he has been cheating on my for the past 5 months.  He wants to get help and be with me, and realizes he has a sex related problem that needs help.  I'm just scared.  I changed my whole life for this man and now I have no idea what to do.  I am so hurt by what he has done, and do not know how to ever rebuild this trust again, but I also love him and want things to work out.  It's really hard to know what to do.  If I tell him to leave I will be pennyless and will not be able to support my 3 year old son and myself.  I don't have very many options and I know staying with someone because I need the money is totally the wrong way to go about things.  I just wanted to know others opinions.  Can men really change?  I couldn't go through this again.
