Kids across the country are playing pranks and harassing teachers. Tericka, a high school science teacher who loved her job, lived in fear of her scandalous past catching up with her and getting her fired. Students eventually found out about her shocking past and the news spread throughout town like wildfire. Are other teachers taking her side, or do they feel her punishment was justified? How can she move forward? Then, Anna, an assistant principal, was harassed on the Internet when two students created a fake MySpace page alleging to be her. She says they completely attacked her character and need to be held accountable for their actions. Was this just a practical joke gone bad, or were these students out for revenge? Find out what Anna did to show these kids that some jokes just aren't funny. Could the mischief your kids get into end up costing you thousands of dollars? Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

12/06 Teacher Troubles

Quote From: lunchtime3

The ex pron star has other options. She made bad choices when she was younger! TOUGH!!

She did it to herself. Everyone else has to live with their choices too, good or bad.

   Now for Anna.

Dr Phil, why push till you break a hard working teacher. Anna is correct. The kids were not in school when they caused the problem. It is the parents who should have to take responsibility

along with a good punishment for the kids.

It just seems parents nowadays cover and teach their children how to get away with this type

of behavior.  Why did that apology letter happen after the law suit was filed.

Wipe those tears aways Anna! Your actions are extreme but obviously necessary.

The shcool system wasn't going stand up and handle the situtation.

Most school agencies are scared to death of parents and their quick acting law suits.

I would expect that attitude in the middle east.... about the EX porn start..... perhaps soon women should wear burkah's..... IT WAS A LEGAL MISTAKE.... and I WOULD LET HER TEACH MY DAUGHTER ANY DAY.... BEFORE I WOULD LET AN INTOLERANT PERSON.... at least she is REAL....

I agree completely. If she is GOOD at her job I wouldn't care if she was STILL a porn actor. Why should I? Her JOB is to teach kids and she's entitled to a private life.

Responsibility

The one thing I thought should have been more highlighted during the show, was the fact that the teens are watching porn. Where are the parents when they watching this kind of stuff? I don't approve the teachers behavior but it has been 11 years and her performance now was outstanding. I am a parent now, my behavior during college wasn't always appropriate but that doesn't mean I can't teach my kids to do the right thing.  I also agree with the statement that if we would fire all teachers with "unrespectful" behavior in the past we wouldn't have many left. We should give people new opportunities and may be the students could even learn from it. Yes it is possible to recover from bad decisions but it is a lot easier to stay on the right path to begin with.

I agree - everyone has to live with their choices. That isn't the debate here. The debate is whether or not living with those choices makes one unfit to be a teacher of high-school students. If Tericka's values rubbed off on those students, what would they learn? According to what she expressed on the show, her students might get the idea from her that doing porn is stupid, disgusting and self-destructive. God forbid that anyone should teach that kind of morality to our children!

And, yes, Dr. Phil, why push 'til you break a hard-working teacher? Now, if she'd made a porno...

Not apologizing

I find it appalling that the parents of the kids who stole the principal or teacher's identity did not come up to the school and apologize to her personally.  I can't believe the first apology she received from one of the parents was on the Dr. Phil show in the form of a letter. That's amazing to me. I think this only shows us the reason why their kids behave they way they did.

Only in America...

I was disgusted by the one brief story that was a newscast.... about the teacher who took the kids to museum, and one of the kids saw a painting with nudity... and the teach got in trouble... MY GOD.... that is insane.... maybe it is this kind of uptight behavior that is why we have so much more sexual assault than some other countries.... and maybe that is why we have more teen pregnancy.................. In Norway... there are very old nude statues all over outside for everyone to see..... and people don't get uptight about it..... I am just shocked that something like that can happen in America in 2006.....

Clean the school toilets

Those boys should be punished just like everyone else. They are not special. They need to learn now that there are consequences to their actions. If they committed a crime or violation, then they have to pay for it. I would make them clean the toilets and the rest of the washrooms in the school on Saturdays for a year or two.

12/06 Teacher Troubles

Quote From: lqqker

OH YEAH !!

LET'S SLAP THEM ON THE HAND AND TELL THEM NOT TO DO IT AGAIN.

BECAUSE WE'RE NOT MAKING KIDS AND PARENTS ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS THE KIDS KNOW THAT THEY CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT TO WHOEVER THEY WANT, WHENEVER THEY WANT AND NO ONE IS GOING TO HOLD THEM OR THEIR PARENTS ACCOUNTABLE.

THE ASST. PRINCIPLE DESERVERS EVERY PENNY SHE CAN GET FROM THESE KIDS & THEIR PARENTS.

You are exactly right about that , i see it everyday  the kids know they get away with pretty much  anything,  they are disrespectful to teachers and other adults,  and it is only going toget worse.

Consequences to actions

Quote From: taracarter42

If we threw every teenage boy in jail for defimation of character would just end up putting THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of teenagers in jail.  Maybe community service would be justifiable, but a law suit?  Come on!  She needs to quit looking for revenge on a teenager and just simply get past it.  Granted, the boys need to be punished but not to the extent she is taking it.  Revenge is not the same as punishment.  She is a prinicpal and concerned with education...shouldn't she be trying to teach the boys a lesson rather them just simply ruin their lives by ruining their records?

Those boys should have thought about that before they did what they did. Why should they get a break? They aren't special from any other kids who perform criminal acts and get into trouble and have to pay the consequences. If they don't learn this now, they will be end up in someone's prison later.
