Kids across the country are playing pranks and harassing teachers. Tericka, a high school science teacher who loved her job, lived in fear of her scandalous past catching up with her and getting her fired. Students eventually found out about her shocking past and the news spread throughout town like wildfire. Are other teachers taking her side, or do they feel her punishment was justified? How can she move forward? Then, Anna, an assistant principal, was harassed on the Internet when two students created a fake MySpace page alleging to be her. She says they completely attacked her character and need to be held accountable for their actions. Was this just a practical joke gone bad, or were these students out for revenge? Find out what Anna did to show these kids that some jokes just aren't funny. Could the mischief your kids get into end up costing you thousands of dollars? Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

Teacher Troubles

I'm currently watching the show on the Teacher whose past was as a porn star.  My heart goes out to this teacher and more importantly her children.

I wonder of all the people including the male teacher on the show with her can stand tall and look at their ENTIRE past history and wonder how clean his past his.  I will assume he never drank under age, never tried any illegal drug or even smoked, and I certainly hope as a young boy himself never looked at porn, those are all not great traits that should be advocated to students.  I agree with the Teacher's lawyer, what has been done to the young boys who were watching PORN.....I hope someone is helping these boys since Pornography and sexual addiction is a huger problem in our society today.

I am a parent of 2 young daughters and if this was a teacher at my school and knowing her past, I will be honest I would be concerned initially but if she as good a teacher as she claims than I would be more than happy to have her as my child's teacher.

I agree teachers have a huge responsibility in our child's life and sometimes their life decisions, but what is community teaching their students.....If you make a mistake you can never be forgiven for it, you will be labelled forever and a mistake you made as a young person will effect you 20years later.

Wow there must be a lot of super "perfect" people in her community.

Jesus said to a group of people who wanted a woman stoned for her sin:

Only if you yourself are without sin then cast the first stone.........

Do you know all but Jesus left the woman and he did not stone her, no he Forgave her....

Unfortunately there are so many people in our world who does not want to take the responsibility of A-raising their own children and dealing with their mistakes and B-some many people want to "hang" people simply in order to make themselves and their problems seem less of a sin.....

I wish this teacher the best of luck.  I hope if nothing else parents will stand up and protect and help those teachers who are really in this very difficult profession for the RIGHT reasons.

I pray and hope that this Teacher and her children will grow stronger and come out better.  I wish everyone in this community hope for healing and that something positive can be learned from this event.

Teacher Troubles

I am watching "Teacher Troubles" and watching the teacher (ex porn actress) cry.  I am also a teacher.  I can tell you that from my experience teachers who may not have been the best students in school themselves or who have taken paths that were less than desireable, but who have turned their lives around, are some of the best teachers.  They understand where kids are coming from and are approachable, open-minded and non-judgemental.  Parents, teachers, administrators that believe that she is a bad influence on students are in denial.  Lets not forget that it was students that found the porn tapes and brought it to the attention of school officials.

Role Model?

Yes, she made mistakes in the past but she reversed her life and became a good role model. But that male teacher who sat there overflowing his chair should be dismissed for the horrible example of eating disorder he continues to display. He is casting judgment on her past but ignoring his current failings.

WHERE ARE THE PARENTS AS ROLE MODELS?

Quote From: ksm_wvr

I have lots of questions for you.  Why do you find it necessary to talk about a childcare book or books and not give any quotes or name these books? Maybe you could help someone by swaying them away from those books that have false information or information that may be making their situation worse.

Instincts have nothing to do with parenting in my opinion. Having preset morals and values are what I believe parents should be equiped with by their parents. Parents should be held accountable for not providing such things. How? You might ask. By having someone like a school phycoligist come and offer assistance for the family. Which I think it would be very benificial to both of these ladies and the families involved on todays show.

I have had 2 of my 3 children go through kindergarten thus far. Each of them brought home a paper asking my permission for my child to participate in a program that will be teaching then about improper touching. I signed that paper both times giving my permission. When they came home they had a coloring book that had all the information I needed to help me talk to them about it also. I did just that. Parents have to get involved and build trust and moral values to let each child know that this behavior is wrong and they can trust you to protect them from it. Education is part of that protection.

Can you provide a news paper clipping or other form of evidience that supports your statement, "even a teacher can get in trouble for patting a student on the back for a "Good Job." ?"

You say, "it's not always a choice whether or not to stay home now." Are we as parents not the ones who make the decisions of how the family budget is set?

Are we as parents powerless when it comes to limiting our kids accessability to the down falls of our society?

My answer to both of those are NO NO NO!

Parents have to be held "accountable for allowing thier daughters to go to school dressed like hookers."" By the school not allowing it. Sending the student home is not the answer. Calling the parent at work and bring it their attention is what has to be done. If that parent is lacking parental strength, then help must be offered and available. Also if that parent is uncooperative, then that parent(s) have to find another school for their child to attend.

We have to be willing to step up and stand up for all, not just one.

RIGHT ON!

By "giving a break" to students... we are in fact GIVING A BREAK to their parents.  I am a teacher, and have been for 6 years, as is my husband.  Somehow we have to get back to holding children, (especially high schoolers) accountable for their deeds.  Those students should NOT have been WATCHING the porn.  Where were their parents while these students needed role models?  Why were parents not watching and advising their students regarding "movies"? Instead these children are setting porn stars as role models instead of REFORMED people who have made something from their former mistakes.

Vice principal watched porn?

DID the administration get asked if they had ever WATCHED porn?

They are just as guilty for having watched it as the teacher was for producing it... there's now a difference however because the teacher was repentant and turned her life around,

The vice principal should have been asked the question, "have you ever watched pornography?"

I'll bet he would have been QUITE RED~

The Principal on myspace.com

I am very very disapointed in that Principal acting less mature than the students that put the profile on myspace.com. It is people like that who need to have power and treat the students like crap and that's why they became an "educator" to serve as an ego boost. It was people like that in my highschool who hurt me more than helped me in my decisions. She should be setting an example of being a good person and being mature. She'll get respect that way. By accepting the students apology and getting on with her life she'll feel better about herself. She is purposely keeping the drama going and I think it's OUTRAGEOUS to make a young person pay for the rest of their life because she got embarrased. Grow up lady.

About The Principal

This assistant principal is really a trip. She is using this situation as a meal ticket and I would bet money that 2 days after she settles out of court she will be quitting her job. The kids were stupid to post a profile on myspace like that;but, it's not something that they should have to pay for until they are 60. This principal is wanting to play the victim and act so tramatized and she is just playing it up for the crowd. Very few people take myspace seriously. I think she is thinking way too highly of herself to think that there is someone that saw her picture on myspace and now is obsessed w/her. That's a mighty strong ego.  The kids have appologized for it. The profile is gone. Get over it.

the principal

I'm a senior in High School right now, and I think the principal is doing the wrong thing.  She wants to make the headlines all on her, if there is one thing I have learned about "embarassing" situations is that people eventually forget.  The letter that Dr. Phil read outloud seemed completley remorseful and since this seems to be the students first offense it should be dealt with than let go.  What if this was another teacher in the school? Would she do the same procedure for them?  Students are constantly being bullied on cyberspace- but it is rarely heard of them going to court,  if anything she should stop worrying about herself and worry about this happening to the students in her school and how she can help stop this.

Let her have her job back!

I cannot believe the absolute arrogance of the school board. She should still be looked at as a role model. She can show students that no matter how bad you think you have screwed up you can always rise above! No matter where you come from or what horrible things you may have done in the past you can change and become a responsible, participating member of society. Instead, they want to sit back and cast judgement on this woman. This is ludicrous! I would love to hire someone to dig into their pasts and just see what they have managed to keep hidden. I am positive every single one of them would have something that could be found offensive to at least one or more groups of people.

If the pornographic materials that she had participated in involved minors then I could fully understand their concern. But it didnt. The pornographic movie(s) that she was in was targeted for an adult audience. Not children! The children should have been held accountable for possessing the movie to begin with. Why weren't the parents held accountable for allowing their underage children access to such material?  The school board was so very wrong in dismissing this poor teacher. ** I would like to know this, of all the adults involved in making this decision, how many of them watched this video (and probably continue to do so)? Im sure people in this community would be shocked to know the answer to that one!
