just a quickie

Just had to let you all know that I got the AC working late last night--THANK GOD!! It was in the 90s here all weekend and without AC (I've gotten spoiled) I was dying. Well, it's cool now and I'm off to work. Will post numbers later--no time to measure yet.

Have a great day.

Good morning all. Here it is AUGUST 1st. ! r

Hello here are my numbers 160/280 5lbs. 4inches.  I have to do etter w my IE so for this next mnth I will increase my exercising at least 4days. It is so good to see everyone here. Keep on posting we need to hear from everyone.  I had a bit of depression when the board went down.  I didn't know what to do with myself and I didn't know how to contact anyone.  Maybe we should write down our e-mail addresses and keep the in a notebook incase this should happen again?  What do you all think about that? I will start with my e-mail  address................WAHickey@MSN.Com

PLEASE READ b4 Posting Ur Addy

Please everyone, use caution when posting your email addresses right up front in a post. There are "spiders", computerized programs that crawl all over the web automatically collecting email addys. You might be hit by the vilest spam! If you want to post it here, just change it so it cannot be read/recognized by a "bot".
*Example: if my email address was...skinnyhotmama@foofoo.com, to disguise it I might write it as: skinnyhotmama....at....foofoo...dot...com....
*This hopefully will thwart the collecting bots. Unless they have a new generation of evil bots that are super-smart!!LOL!
*Just my thoughts to all you wonderful, warm and sharing people who want to keep in touch.
*Also, you could put your email addy in your profile, and anyone wanting it would have to click to go there; might slow some down that way.
*Hugs, Loretta in Oregon =^..^=

Rebecca/Jan's Trike info

Rebecca wrote: "Again, 8lbs is such an achievement.  I really liked the words from Napoleon Hill.  Forgive the ignorance but who is/was he?  Also I would love more information on writing reviews for Jan.  Where and when do we sign up? How long do the reviews have to be?  Are all States eligible?  Just details in general".....*Thanks, Rebecca! It was encouraging to see progress. I hope to do even better for the August Challenge; I need to be more consistant.
*Napolean Hill is the "granddaddy of em all" when it comes to motivational speakers. Those quotes were from a book he wrote in 1937. He was deeply touched by the heartache, brokeness, hopelessness, and devastation that the market crash of 1929 had on people. That "depression" was more than an economic fact; it was an emotional fact. So, he took his 30 YEARS of research into what it took to be successful, and wrote a book with the intention of offering HOPE and a plan to help people rebuild their lives. Yes, the main thrust of the book at that time was financial success. Obviously, on the heels of the Great Depression that made sense. But the PRINCIPLES hold true for any worthy goal. It is for achieving my HEALTH goals that I am reading it. It really is exciting stuff! As I read, whenever he says "money" or "riches" or "finances", in my mind I read it as accomplishing my goals, achieving success, getting healthy! The principles are the same.
*I got the ebook, Think and Grow Rich, for $1.99 on eBay. But I KNOW it is at the library. To me, the title says: Think and Grow Healthy! hahahahahaha....
*Oh, before I forget...anyone interested in CAMPAIGN: JAN'S TRIKE, can go to www.insiderpages.com, and read about their review program. But wait til Jan comes back to sign up, from her invitation, so she gets credit. Otherwise, it won't help her. They only require 50 words for the review. Gee, by the time I say what I like most about it, tell about the physical looks of the place, the parking situation, the customer service, special products or services, maybe the hours, etc, I was ALWAYS over that, easily.
*And lastly, Rebecca: that took courage to post your innermost feelings. You have my respect, and my prayers.
*Hugs, Loretta in Oregon =^..^=

I think we all know your frustration...1

Quote From: elbyovlov

I HAVE HAD IT WITH THIS "IMPROVED" BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sick and tired of writing and writing, only to lose it when it is time to post. I've written two hard-worked-on posts only to lose them into cyberspace. I may try from time to time, but my posts will be short and unedited. ..................................................................................................................................  I truly am happy that this new board is exciting to those of you who are computer savvy. But I will be content to lurk most of the time. I just don't know what was so bad about the old boards that they needed to mess them up. In my lost posts, I congratulated people ad commiserated with people but, obviously, all for naught.  ................................................................................................. LINDA(maybe for the last time)

I have not tried it but will with this message to  highlight and copy. So if I do lose it I can put it back.

I always love your posts, so I hope you give this new idea a try and see if it works for you.

Rebecca

The beautiful thing about God is that His love is NOT dependent on our righteousness, but on Christ's.  When we believe in Him as our Savior, God sees the perfection of His own Son when He looks at us.  His forgiveness is boundless and His mercy is great.  Come to Him with a humble heart and He will forgive your sins.  Psalm 103:10-12 says, "He has not dealt with us as our sins deserve, nor rewarded us after our iniquities.  For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness toward those that fear Him.  As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us."  You don't have to be perfect to go to Heaven because Jesus was for us!  Isn't that great?

That was said beautifully.  HE is just waiting for us to turn towards Him.  To have that much love for everyone of us is beyond words.  Now that is unconditional love.  Thanks for the reminder.  Wendie
