& OTHERS (I CAN'T RECALL EVERYONE NOW--BUT I AM HAPPY TO SEE SOME OTHERS POSTING THAT I HAD MISSED LATELY--ROSE, SHIRLEY, MARION, ANI AND TERESA--WHAT HAPPENED TO BEVERLY ONE POUND A WEEK GAL?)  WHO HAVE WELCOMED ME BACK. I TRIED TO POST SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE LAST THREE DAYS AND NEVER COULD. GUESS I DON'T HAVE THIS NEW FANGLED BOARD FIGURED OUT YET. MY SISTER IS STILL IN THE HOSPITAL. THEY HAD TOLD HER ON MONDAY THAT SHE WOULD PROBABLY GO HOME THE NEXT DAY. BUT BLOOD TESTS SHOWED SHE HAD AN INFECTION. SHE IS HAVING A TOUGH TIME, BUT THEY HAD WARNED HER THAT IT WOULD BE A DIFFICULT RECOVERY. I AM STILL STRUGGLING TO REGAIN SOME SELF CONTROL AROUND HERE AND EAT LIKE I SHOULD. I KEEP WAITING FOR SOME SIGN OF NORMALCY, BUT I AM BEGINNING TO WONDER IF I WILL EVER SEE THE DAY. SOUNDS ALOT LIKE A CONVENIENT EXCUSE, DOESN'T IT?

EEYORE/CAROL/ALABAMA

I was sorry to read that your sister is still in the hospital. No wonder you are still struggling to regain some self control and eat what you should. I think many of us go through similar battles .....seems to depend what's going on in our lives and then it must be the anxiety or stress coming through that the "kinda of mindless" eating and poor choices begin. I think a light has finally gone off that no matter what goes on in our lives....it's best to continue to include "us" in as a priority.  Working on eating properly and getting the IE in is sure to help us get through whatever comes our way and heck we might even lose a little weight along the way.

Sending you a big hug and a pat on the back for posting even during this difficult time you are going through. Hang in there missy. My prayers go out for your sister and may she return home soon.

HELL0 FABULOUS FIFTIES!!!!

Thanks for your encouragement CHILI & TERESA.

I went from a size 22 to an 18. Size 18 that magical # because you can find clothes easily.

Guess, I let my guard down with every intentions of pulling it all together tomorrow, but tomorrow is just not happening.

If I keep on going the way I am, I won't have one thing to wear because I got rid of all of my other clothes.

I'm just ranting here, in hopes of what I am saying; helps me to come to my senses.

Thanks for listening.

Good Morning

Another day,   I  woke up late,  lay there  just  mellowing out.   Kinda  rolled out of bed and had to wake up the house straight away  (already missing that extra  SELF time).   Then those thoughts flooded into my mind....................wahoooooooooo........I was aware of them.    "Don't go for a walk"   "you are too late and too tired"   "You have done so well - take a rest today"    "One  day 'off' will not hurt".   WOW  Do  you recognize any of these subtle  sabotaging thoughts ladies?????

I shook my head (ouch).   Got  dressed in old clothes.    Dug around and unearthed the dog lead (DH had forgot to put it back into the normal place)......grrr.     Stopped the golden girl prancing long enough to put the lead on her.  Then  grabbed an apple and out the door.   Whew  - with each step I felt  better.   The cow had given up on me and was away  across the paddock.  She came racing for her apple.   The view  seemed different for the sun was up higher and gave different perspective.  This made me  think of how often it is our  perspective of things that matters.   As  Dr Phil says so often  we can change our perspective.   Sooooooooooooooooooooo  walk done and here I am energized a little more.    Now to  post some of today's pics.   LOL>

Love your walks Esmay!

Wow look at you. You are doing it and I am just so proud of you!

Your post read like an exciting noval, what a joy!

I did my walk today but had plans of emptying out the bedrooms down stairs (no power down there and the dry wall isn't mudded yet, that is the perpose to get this work done) Well after lugging 2 queen size mattresses and box springs I gave up. Heck this is a job for 2 people. I know I will go back down after my coffee and get back at it. Ha Ha the heavy stuff is done now so I can't give up right? Now hubby knew this was my plan for this weekend but he had to work and didn't get home. Hmmm maybe he is smarter than I give him credit for.

At any rate I best get back at it, Just had to say how great it is to see you walking the walk and back on the board again. You just have no idea of how much you were missed.

Chilly: Just a thought, why room temp water?

Quote From: kfcgirl23

Oh my I'm so excited................look at all the postings and pictures this weekend. I'm jumping for joy!!!!

Susie...........Susie............what a great job of posting pictures...........you computer guru ((((winking))) too precious that picture of you with Isabella..............love the sticker game. And there's a picture of Lola................too cute...................oh you had me laughing so hard with your dinner story (I'm not a great cook either) but your story of the candles and table set up so nice but the wine flopping over..........well I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time......................but that would make a great Saturday Night Live skit.  Seems like when I try something new on my family for practice before using in on company............more often then not I say "Well, I won't be cooking this dish again" ((((((smiling)))

Esmay............look at those lovely pictures. I love the cow one with the apple. What a nice area for you and Goldie to walk................not much scenery around here other then houses..........plus it's winter so I'm not walking outside anyway.  So both Susie and you are now the picture posting gurus of the group.

Anni....well sounds like you and I are about in the same boat....14's loose 12'ves tight...goal size 10's...I'm thinking 15 to 20lbs for me this year hopefully.....at least I'm working on it!!!  Oh that's 15 to 20 lbs down not the other way!!!!!!

Esmay you ask us what baby steps we are taking..

  • Putting water bottles on counter each day (I drink room temp water)
  • journal what I'm eating for the next week
  • getting IE in 5 to 6 times this week doing one or two of the followingcontinue to post for and to support board members/friends

If I get a chance this week I'd like to see if I can find the LS 2 mile tape.

Have a great day and meet you back at the pass. Big hugs to Shirley, Bev, Raven let's see she ought to be getting close to home, Theresa, so nice to see you too missy and everybuddy else. I'm having a senior moment but I didn't take notes of who posted.......that's the one thing I've noticed it seems it's impossible to go back on the board without losing what I've written. So unless I take notes before posting I just don't seem to remember everyone that has posted for the day. So please forgive me if I've left your names off not meant to slight anybody. Hugs to all.

Dr Hogan (a Sports Medicine guy in Vaodosta, Georgia) my Primary Care Physician (PCP) gave me his 5 Rules of Weight Loss (something --I have to look for the title.) Anyway, He says DRINK COLD WATER because it makes your body work harder to use it. I’ll have to ask him if it’s because the water get heated to 98 degrees -like body temp --or what?

Note: Go figure! HMO gives me a SPORTS MEDICINE doctor as my PCP!

Hello there Missy..............just seems better for me since I seem to have an over active bladder from time to time...and some of my teeth are sensitive to cold also. Seems like I'm always cold around the house anyway.   I keep my house temp around 77 degrees too. Plenty of drafts with family and dog going in and out of the house.

Those of us with bladder issues remember to go with drinking a weak tea and watch the colas and items that stimulate the bladder.

Have a good day Blue

Esmay and all

Just checking in and out again..........I must say Esmay that's certainly how I felt today didn't feel like doing IE............however, I didn't get any in yesterday so I considered that as my day off. I'm real glad that I popped off of here and did the 1 mile LS and thought heck everyones still sleeping let me put that other tape in too..............felt great now I've got the IE in for the day.

I'll tell you what a perk on your walk to go feed that cow and apple. I know he/she was sure happy to see you and that apple.....................Goldie had to be prancing a bit too. Pat on the back for taking that walk today. Good job.

Bev...................oh my hauling those mattress around please be careful........I did manage to get some of my xmas decorations boxes up and put away. Will work on the rest another day this coming week.  Who likes to go down in the basement not me girlfriends.

Jazz........well you are going to be working your way down to the smaller sizes anyway missy........so don't plan on staying at size 18 ((((((((winking))))))))))))  remember you are worth the effort and continue to post and get your momentum back to watch the food choices and get some IE in when you can........................see you back at the pass.

Have a good day all.

Page 2 -- Blue MUST go back to the POST AND RUN!

Fact: I have not been here with detailed posts AGAIN. I read but can't keep-up.

I DO look for replies to my posts. So if you use the QUOTE thing I WILL be here. I’m really feeling an increased need to reach out to a WIDE audience. No pun intended! I don’t know WHAT DIRECTION --but I will stick with Blue Notes, *One More Yellow Ribbon*, and TRUE BLUE/ whatever else I do./ See I rhyme even when I don’t mean to! /

DID I HEAR SOME ONE THINKING --OK BLUE! YOU’RE GETTING TOO BIG FOR YOUR OWN BRITCHES? Yes I AM! I may be one of those kind of bitc- - -! My “britches” ARE getting TOO BIG for me! IN MORE THAN THE WLC way (weigh! LOL)

Seriously --MY MOTIVATION IS just this: partly confidence; mostly a need to make Blue’s WORK here on drphil.com work better and have a lasting significance; and the GET REAL thing about all of our involvement on these boards is --THIS THING just takes TIME.

Mike is comming home next week. Charmen may be deployed in May. There are two boys that need a lot of BUBA (their name for grandma-and/or -grandpa!) And I need to write!

This is the beginning of my third year here and I’m AGAIN inviting you to COME VISIT BLUE! Until then... it is NOT toot-a-loo/ Because I know I’ll be seeing you!?

Your pal

Blue

OUr walk today dear WLC Buddies

Out of our  front gate and around the corner.  The sun was up higher and there was our fushia bush.  Ah  so beautiful.  Then down the incline, past the mail boxes - I was beginning to wake up now.  Up to the cow paddock.   Down through the gate.    Then we walked along the cliff and home.
