Monday Morning Weigh-in

Today's weight:  164.2  Down .5 from last Mnday.   That seems to be my average  for most weeks.  First of the month, time to measure.  ( began recording measurements Feb. 1, of rt. biceps, bust, waist, abs, hips, rt. thigh, and rt. calf) total is down 2.0 inches.  Total for 6 months is 17.5 inches.  Average, almost 3.0 in. per month, so this month is down.  Time to shake up the exercise routine , you think?  Dolly  180: 164.2: 130

Monday weigh-in.

Good morning all-I'm happy to report a 1 lb. loss this am.Here we are in a new month again-I like today's Quote-too true, and here's one from Life Strategies.......

"Life doesn't reward quitting. You are the only one that does that. And you may reward yourself for quitting with a pseudo-peace,a peace that comes at the price of your hopes and dreams."

We move onto Part Three of Dr Phil's WLS today.   Powerful Insights. Chapter 11.......When you can't lose weight..........are you weight-loss resistant? I also love Betty Ford's quote.....".DON'T COMPROMISE YOURSELF.  YOU ARE  ALL YOU'VE GOT."

Be back this eve. with weigh-in tally......have a great day everyone --have you got today's FP written down?...................Mac.

WEIGH-IN

Hi everyone. I hope it was a great weekend for all. The weather is less humid in the Northeast and all is good. I'm going to leave shortly to pick up 2 of my grandsons for a before school starts again visit. I'll be back  to post more at a later time.

Love and hugs, Rosemary   346/304/165

Oh pooh!

I have been a very bad girl.  I went off and then spiraled into an eating frenzy.  So, I've gained a couple of pounds.  Now weigh 164.5.  So, beginning once again!  I'll spare you all my analysis of what was going on in my twisted little brain!

Went down to look at the new puppy on Saturday.  Feel like the breeders are lying about the weight of the parents; at least the dogs looked bigger than we thought they should.  Will go back in two-three weeks to see how big Suzie Q is.  Dobby has not reached 4 pounds at 9 months and I would hate to have a horse in comparison! My granddaughter has been with me since Thursday.  We are having lots of fun.  I've started her on some rug hooking.  She caught on quickly, but doesn't have the temperment to stay with it for over about 20 minutes at a time.

Right now I am feeling a little down.  Not about my weight because after I wore my uncomfortable jeans for a day I feel I have truly recommitted. But I feel as if I am losing a couple of friends.  They seem to disapprove of some of my choices and are being quite judgmental. They don't think I should spend so much time with the grandkids; they think I ought to be more active in volunteer work and cannot understand why I would even consider a second dog.  They are real gad-abouts and think I am turning into a hermit. I think I am just moving into a nesting period and am very happy in my patterns.

What say you WOWs?  Do any of you find your best contentment with family and home?  I taught for 30 years and I love the quiet, non stressful days.  On the one hand I think that is the most important thing, and I am growing tired of defending my actions.  I think I get out a lot but it is true that mainly I go to church, spend time with family, or putter around my house.  Oh well, just spilling my brains here.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU WHO LOST WEIGHT.          Ks. Grandma/Eilene

Vicki...........

I had to put on my  'thinking cap' about your situation -according to my records your last weigh-in was 235.5,sooooooooooo what I've decided to do is subract your gain from overall / total loss of group in the past 14 wks.-and this way it will not affect todays total.

I'm so glad you decided to return to the WLS and this board-for the sake of your health, peace of mind and I do enjoy your posts-you put a lot of thought and time into them.

I have learned tremendously from this journey through the WLS book, with all the input from you Wows, and the extra time put in on a Monday and guiding us through the book, has definitely paid off for me.I have connected to some of my self-defeating  thinking patterns, and have made many positive choices in my new lifestyle. Some of the 'old habits' creep back now and again, but at least I recognize them for what they are.

We will have completed this particular journey through the book on Aug.22nd-maybe we should be thinking about our continued journey to success and lifestyle change, and what format we wish to follow.I will be relinquishing my role as recorder and format leader-I'm hoping you all have some ideas for a continued constructive journey along this enlightening path.............Mac.

PS

I did walk 3 miles this morning, and even though it was painful I made myself do it. I am now on calorie schedule for the rest of the day.  I  had (this morning) 38 days until I meet with the orthopedic doctor.  I am determined to be back in the mid 150s.

DEN MOM -- we can not give up.  We just have to remember to count all the benefits from the great effort we need to make.  I remember you running up the stairs and biking around with your husband and all the new clothes.  We have to claim that and fight back the devils who would derail us.  I'm not ready to give up and I'm sure you aren't either.

Ks grandma/Eilene

Monday Nite

My weight did not change this week. I am having trouble with my scale, and have ordered a new Tanita scale for my birthday. Heck of a birthday present! Oh, well, thankfully there isn't anything I really need-except some wiggle room in the smaller clothes I bought. I haven't any larger ones left, so you know I am in it for the long haul.

I am sooo happy to see the old timers(lol) posting again-you know who you are. It is really helpful to me in my ongoing struggle to know that others are still fighting the battle. So often I wonder if maybe I am just supposed to be this weight? My breathing is much better-and my lifestyle has changed to include IE-other than walking the dog (actually strolling), I hadn't done much to exert myself. the jogging is a real exertion-and with the weather today even in the house I manged about 12 1/2 minutes before the breathing became harsh. Tomorow is another day-will try for the 15 minutes then.

It's going to seem strange to be alone on our 46th anniversary-but we will celebrate this weekend after DH gets home.

DIANE-will try to call you at 8:00 tonight-please answer. I hope the number you gave me works!

      Take care everyone-Laineybea
