MONDAY WEIGH IN.........

Well, I am going to mess up all the great losses posted this morning.   I gained 2 pounds.  I knew those large portions were gonna catch up someday.    I will stay very close to the  program of HR and IE this week.  We all know that is the only way to succeed.   I have some social outings this week that will mean eating out.   I MUST practice self control so that I can post a lose next Monday.   Stats are:  205/181.5/160~~~~~~~Hugs, Carolyn

Monday weigh-in...............

Good morning folks-my extra consumption of fruit has caught up to me and I have gained 2 lbs. this week.I am not too concerned about this,as fresh BC peaches and nectarines are only here for a short spell!!

I had the glass put back into my deck rails yesterday aft. so I washed 7 huge sheets of glass(before insertion) and then washed all the windows and doors I could reach without a ladder(I can't do ladders any more).Understandably-I have some aching muscles this am. This sure is an ongoing saga with my rails, and I'm sure you are as tired of it as I am.Another 2 sections to go and I can say good-bye to this guy!! (He's working in real-estate now,and this is done in his 'spare time'.

A friend has come into town,I haven't seen for a while-so out to dinner tonight at the Greek Taverna-and I'm going to savour every bite. !!!I eat out rarely,so this is my treat for remaining high response as a normal eating pattern.(almost 8 months now).

We are at our last week of this session through the book,so suggested reading this week is pg.281-2....and 285-7.I also suggest re-visiting the food lists to see how compliant we are in our kitchens(food storage).Another thing that might be really helpful is to post some food plans to let each other see what we are eating .The snack suggestions were very helpful for us all.............until later........................Mac.

I FINALLY DID IT!!!!!!!!!

Sure happy this morning as I finally reached my goal, that last pound is gone.  It feels so good as I have worked really hard, now to maintain, and I really don't see a problem in doing that.  I know I have to keep reading the board and Dr. Phil's book, that is just an everyday thing along with the IE.

Everyone just keep working as one day you will all reach your goal also.  It has taken me 22 months to do this, but I am finally where I want to be.

Had some cool weather in Kansas, sure feels wonderful.  Have been outside working, planting a small area with the new Turfalo grass plugs, they say it is a really nice grass, more dense than Buffalo and grows faster, so will see.  If it does well, will take plugs off of it as it was rather expensive.

Happy Birthday to those I missed once again, and everyone have a wonderful week.  Just remember to take care of you.  LOL  Marlene

Marlene-I am so happy for you-this is indeed a 'red letter day' !!! You have quietly plodded along with this weight-loss solution and have the results to prove it can be done.!!!

It's not only about the weight either-you have taken charge of your life and the results are tremendous.I can remember your initial posts, and you are a different woman today-I am so proud of you................Mac.

Good Morning Everyone!

Hi all, hope you had a good week-end.I did not get here the last few days as the week-end was a sad one for DH and myself.

We lost a dear life long friend to cancer. Its hard to say goodbye but harder to see him suffer so long.Life moves on and we still have his dear wife and grown family and a lot of wonderful memories.

I got on the csales for my weighin this morning and stayed the same.I was disappointed however after 4 off last week should not have expected a lot.Anyhow the HR food is still going on and exercise however my arthrities makes it hrd and painful but that is what the doctor recommends at a slower pace.I think the humid weather makes it worse.Happy birthday to Margaret and was it ,oh darn now I can't remember. My mind is like a seive lately.

Fluffy~I'm right here my friend with Dr.P. with me.You did very good  this week. And those of you who lost or gained well this is a new week so watch those HR foods. And I agree about the little bit of protien it holds your appetite longer.I also freeze sugar free yogurt and eat it frozen ,it takes quite a while to scrape it and its a cool treat.

Hope you all have a great day and Eilene that pup is so cute.Take care of you.Den Mom Carole 277/215/165?

Congratulations, Happy Birthday and Hi

Congratulations, Marlene!  I am so happy for you.  You've got to be jumping for joy right now.  Since I've joined the board I've seen two people reach goal and it gives me such hope that that might be me someday and that this time I won't put it back on.  Hope you heard my "Hoorays" all the way from L.A.

Happy Birthday, Patty and Margaret.   It's going to be a great year for us all!

I got on the scale this morning with a great deal of trepidation.  OK, truth is, it was more like panic or outright fear.  I was away this weekend and my food could have been a LOT better.  But when I got on the scale, I had actually dropped 1 pound.  It taught me a lesson.  I lost the pound because I was walking the entire weekend.  We were in Newport and Laguna Beach and we walked the streets and the art festivals and EVERYWHERE and it was absolutely wonderful.  The hamstring that I ripped so badly 9 months ago was killing me.  My knee was killing me, but it was still great!

Most of all it gave me a chance to get my mind off "everything" going on right now.  It also taught me that exercise allows me to eat a little more and still lose weight.  Now if I were really smart, I'd exercise and NOT eat more and then I'd really lose.  The moral of the story is, "I can't put off doing "intentional exercise" any longer."  I've been using every excuse I could think of to put off IE.  I justified that I had to get my food under control first or I had to commit to coming to this board, instead of eating, or I had to read parts of Dr. Phil's book everyday.   No more excuses.  I was given a reprieve and I am so greatful.
