Surprise Visit

My dear Pied Piper of a son came into town this afternoon. It was great to have him here for "Jack" A man's influence is what we need around here. He helped clean tha patio, ate dinner with us and took "Jack" over to his cousins house to play dodge ball and basketball. He will take "Jack" fishing tomorrow afternoon. Oh Joy a whole afternoon all to myself!! ~ I apologize to anyone I may have missed in the chat room -- I had definite plans of being there but dear sons you don't see often, do go to the head of the line. Hugs to all Joyce ~~ ps picture taken last Spring but the grands all flock around their "Uncle" whenever they see him.

Just in case I'm MIA

Wanted to let you know I seem to be having some computer problems which may need attention.  Hopefully it's nothing serious.

Will try to keep in touch, but if not, I didn't just quit.

Nelson Infirmary

Well, Honey(dog) has a sprained ankle. I would have said knee, but the Vet said it is actually her ankle. She is on rest and pain medication. The swelling was very visible on x-ray, which are reviewed by a pet radiologist! Just like taking a child to the ER. Wish this senior dog had medicare, but they wouldn't let me sign her up.

DH is recovering, will take him to the doctor this afternoon. He slept better last night, so maybe will be in a happier mood. Can't blame him, when I'm tired I am grumpy ,too.

Food wise did very well yesterday, but could only make 10 minutes jogging. I did go shopping just for an out all afternoon-and couldn't find anything I liked to spend my birthday money on. I'm glad I don't really need clothes right now. They are definitely catering to the younger set with a Latino influence down here. I outgrew(literally) stretch jersey a long time ago.

SIL is now also out of work, so have two family members hunting for replacement jobs. Daughter is still working on getting her job back, hasn't heard anything from applications. It is difficult for her to fill in applications. You can have spelling or penmanship, not both at the same time. Personally, I'd rather have the spelling, but it looks like a fourth grader in the writing.

Have a wonderful day everyone-smile, God loves all of us.   Laineybea

Good Morning Hastey

Quote From: dorrie2005

I had a great and busy weekend and have read some of the posts this morning.  You all make me feel so connected and while I started posting again last week did loose l lb to get back in the groove.  210/182/160

Thanks all for being so supportive of each other and me.  This is a wonderful group of caring persons.  Both Dr. Phil boards and Flylady have been a great help to me.  Might get myself organized yet lol

Have a great day all and remember weight does fluctuate 3 or 4 lbs and if it is there for a week or more....it is a true gain....otherwise most likely water and will be gone in a day or two.

Take care and God Bless.....dorrie/hastey

So good to see you posting again.  You are doing great and will continue to drop those pounds.  Have a wonderful week my friend.

Laineybea, when I had my Sr. citizen cat, I never thought of him that way, just as my beloved Taffy, I was told that there was health insurance for animals..but I also think that when I checked into it it was too expensive for me..I do know that my vet bills started averaging 400 dollars a visit with him and it is one of the reasons I don't have a pet now..but glad itis only a sprained ankle and not osteoporosis...also am hopeful that DH has no pain at this time..

It is too bad that all employment forms aren't the same, or that she could just fill one out at home in copies and take to wherever they need to go..so much easier...would be for all of us..When I applied to the Pres. Society for a job, my daughter was ap palled that I hand wrote it..Mother, said she, they won't even look at it these days...they want all letters typed..You know I hold your daughter in prayer and look forward to a good resolution of this sitution for her..hugs, w/love, diane
