HI TO ALL

Good Morning--with daylight saving off---it is dark in the morning until 6:30 and dark at night by 5:30---sure wish we had daylight saving all year round.    Dolores---glad to have you back but so sorry to hear about your daughter---she will be in my prayers and you too---because I know how much we worry about about our children.   Will your daughter have a chance for a transplant???

Ginnyjane--always nice to hear from you---your weather sounds nice---but I think I still like the changing seasons----like I said I like snow but not the bitter cold----snow is really nice now that I don't have to drive in it---just enjoy from home.     This year has gone so fast----Joy ;  I guess it is time for you to start packing for your trip south.    I have been doing some sewing again---sure would like to get my 3 granddaughters quilts done for Christmas but I don't think so----we do have all our yard work done  but now it is almost time for the gang to come up for deer hunting.  Not sure how many we will have this year---

Peanut butter and jelly sounds good---but I will fight with myself to leave it alone---I do get into it every now and then.    Food choices are ok---but need to get better.  Hope everyone has a good day.

Jane

Hi to All

I took my computer in and was advised not to try to fix it as the expense wouldn't be worth it.  Archie told me to buy a new one but didn't know if I needed two computers as I just bought a laptop last year.  After thinking about it a couple days I decided to go ahead and get a new tower, etc., to keep my everyday things on rather than load up my laptop.  I do like using a key board better.....know I could use one on the laptop but all the extra connections!  Anyway I bought an eMachine which cost about $600 and I get $300 in rebates.  I like the new printer, too, as mine was 6 years old.  Has scanner/copier.  Purchasing the computer  took care of Saturday for me.  Sunday was a busy day but I did set my computer up.  Yesterday morning I went to aerobics and spent time on the computer in the afternoon printing out Archie's therapy records for the next 5 months.  He checks off his exercises each day.  Also found time to do a little quilting on a table topper that has to be finished before we leave on the 27th.  Today I took both my computers to have high speed Internet installed.  Doesn't cost anything as the company has their tower on our silo.  I didn't make the gym today....very unusual for me!  The past few days have been terrible for my eating habits so I can relate to you peanut butter gals.  I will certainly pray for your daughter, Dolores.  Our season will be soon changing to cold, GJ, so we are leaving.  The fall colors have been beautiful, Jane.  I have to get my flowers covered yet.  Enjoy your day, Joy

Hi everyone,

My,My, where is everyone??? We've been home a few days, but I've been trying to get things in order with the house and the rv.. I've been trying to un-box winter things and putting away the summer things. I cannot believe how many of my clothes I put away are still so big.  I have a large box full of really good clothes I cannot wear. Some are pretty new, but there's no way I can alter jackets and some blouses, if I take a tuck across the shoulder of the blouses, they are still big thru the rest, and so long.  I wore long tail blouses to cover my behind.  Now I try to wear them inside skirts and pants. Ok, HOW'S EVERYONE DOING?? Dolores, I sure hope your daughter is doing better.  I have'nt been able to get on the internet at times.  I think my computer is so full of junk that I've deleted, and I don';t know how to empty it.  I talked to a girl at church who is a senior at school, and has been using a computer a long time and she told me she'd come help me clean it out, so soon as we can get together, I hope to get that done. I know so little about a computer. The man that I had to put me in a new modem, charges $35.00 an hour, that adds up in a hurry. I did tell this girl that I would pay her to help me. I've been awake since 4.30 this morning, one of those days, and decided I would try to get on the internet, which worked.  It's 7 now, Leo just walked in, said he could'nt sleep when I'm not there, so he made us a cup of coffee.   By the way, we had a wonderful time camping, the weather was good, little windy, we had hoped to go again around the 10th,and stay a week, but decided it would be too close to Thanksgiving when we got home, and I'm having the family over. Well, better go, I need to sprinkle down some clothes, I've got to get ironed. So, to everyone, HAVE A GREAT WEEK-END,  Till later, take care, Lois

Good Morning

Just home from church and decided to check the board.  Lois, I checked on Friday and no one had posted since my last post so decided not to post anything.  So glad you had a nice restful vacation.  Friday night when we out to eat a friend of mine brought me some clothes that she no longer wears.  A couple really nice shirts that she had never worn...size 16 & 14...Korets....a really beautiful sweater that I wore to church this morning....nice pair of cordroy Koret slacks...size 12 that I wore to my all day seminar yesterday....nice pair of linen slacks, too.  She always buys extremely nice clothes but has ben skrinking due to age so I'm the fortunate one to recieve her hand me downs.  I hope she goes through her closet again :-)  I've looked for slacks a few times but never find what I want and these are the greatest!  Thursday we went to pick our grandson up from college so he could come home to go deer hunting this weekend.  Friday I went shopping with my DIL and she helped me pick out some gifts for the grandkids which completed my Christmas shopping except for one grandson.  I'm baking for my sons and DILs.  This next week carries a busy schedule but will check in to see how we're all doing.  We leave here the 27th to go to Branson but don't know what direction we will take to the valley as we are not stopping in Dallas because my niece will be gone that weekend.  Enjoy today and every day!!  Joy

HI TO ALL

Haven't been on the board for a couple of days.   Time is just going so fast.   We have been gone alot the last couple of days.  When I am home I have been sewing.  Dolores; hope you can find your way back on the board.   How is your daughter????  Joy;  Almost time for your winter travels.  Hope you have nice weather traveling.  Branson should be fun.  We were their once--always wanted to go back but just haven't made it.  My food choices haven't been real bad but not as good as they should be---I keep working at it.   Hope everyone else is in good health.

Trouble found me, too

I just posted and it went the way of the wind.  Yesterday was gym, doctor for Archie, picking up kids from school activities, and back to church for a meeting so I was tired last night.  Nothing has slowed down today!  I replaced a zipper in my sons jacket this morning and that was no fun but I got it done.  This afternoon I went to get a hair cut, stopped at the gym, came home and baked 2 loaves of banana bread before putting my dinner in the oven.  After dinner I baked three loaves of cranberry bread.  All will be for Christmas for my sons and DIL. I still have 2 loaves of each to make.  I have to take a DIL to the doctor tomorrow so will take along my table topper to complete sewing the binding on.  Not going to try to write any more as I don't know if this will go this time.   Joy
