Hi everyone,

Quote From: ulnamn

Looks as though our new board site is ready for us.We talked about getting back to the basics and reading and discussing Dr Phil's book.I'm hoping we can start working on our weight loss together again by sharing what works.I know it doesn't work just to talk about it.Why don't we each read Chapter one this week and post some of the thoughts that speak out to us.I know when I started reading the WLC I seriously did not eat any place but at the table.Lately I find myself taking some nuts or fruit to munch on when I go to bed.I even have it underlined in red in my book on pg 8.   It's about changing what you eat, why you eat, WHERE YOU EAT, ETC.Changing even one thing at a time is important.I will not snack in bed! Well, I finally found it again, I have tried to get on here since Sat., but it kept flipping me back to July messages, I really don't know how I got to this,I just kept hitting things. Anyway, hope it gets on the board. We got back from camping Fri.afternoon, washed several loads, tried to empty rv pretty good.  We hope to go out one more time, before winter. It has turned pretty cool, and they say we had a little short rain while we were gone.  It is cloudy today, nice and cool. By the way, I stepped on the scales this morning, weighed in at 156, HOORAY!!!!  We ate out going down, went in to town one day and had lunch and then we had breakfast after we left the camp ground, on the way home, Leo said he noticed I do not eat as much as I used to. What ever it is, I am finally under 160. I was surprised to see no one has posted since Joy did several days ago. Where is everyone?? I accidentily got on the "60" board couple weeks ago and someone is posting all the time. I just wonder what happened to all the "70"s who used to post so much. I really enjoyed hearing from them. Well, it's clearing off, so dont guess we will get rain today, and I do have work to do,so better get busy. Hope everyone had a good week-end.  Till later, take care, Lois

Greetings to All

Congratulations on the weight loss, Lois.  I'm trying to get back to the 70's.  My exercise is losing inches but can't seen to get the weight moving very well.  I don't know what has happened to our board.  I was surprised to see you were the only one posted since I last posted.  I kept looking for some more postings.  I couldn't see where it said "newest messages" as it used to say at the bottom of the page.  Either they're changing the board again or something wierd is going on.  I've been busy quilting this afternoon as Archie is in the field.  I walked 2.5 miles at the gym and bikes for 2.5 miles plus did my upper body strength exercises.  Gym has a fun thing going to walk to Kansas City by Christmas.  I won't be here but thought I would start the walk anyway to see where I am by the end of November.  I won a free month at the gym for attending the most number of days in September...24 times.  Actually one gal had 30 times but she has already won this year.  Have a great day everyone and I'll try to check again tomorrow to see if we have found each other.  Joy

HI TO ALL

The board has been very quiet---we were out of town for the last 4 days.  Went to see our daughter--she is still nursing a sore that won't heal ---where she had stitches from her colon surgery.   She has had a pump connected for the 3 weeks now---it is a small suction cup over the sore---to keep it dry and also pushes blood to the area--to promote healing--she hopes to get rid of the pump tomorrow when she goes to the doctor.  As for her surgery---she is doing really good---she is back on a regular diet and hasn't had any problems.

We enjoyed our time with her and her family--also saw the rest of the family and some friends---weather has been great----cold at night but gets into the 60's during the day.   Trees are turning colors--so enjoy being outside.   Now I have to get back on track----Lois--good for you losing some lbs.    Joy; losing inches does count---good for you also.   Now I just wish I could get busy and lose some weight or inches.    Where ever we went --they had too much good food--except by my youngest daughter--she always has a lot of veggies and fruit--she was trying to give me a pep talk--

Hope everyone has a good evening and lets all try to get on track and help each other.

Jane

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S BEEN SO LONG, HI!

I don't now where the time goes.  When I get back on ---it seems that everyone wants to know where everyone else is. LOIS; did you ever get it straight why you had trouble posting?? I went on my coach tour and it was really great. Did pretty well with my food choices.  Ate mostly fish and the Irish are great on veggies so we had lots of those. The woman next to me carried sweets (candy) all the time but she was one of those people who could eat her way through all of Ireland and not gain weight---ugh!!  When I got back I found that one of my very best friends had died so that was another reason that I did not post. I hope you all are doing OK.  JANE : I see where your daughter  is having some problems again.  I hope it is not too serious.  Well, I gotta go for now but I will try to be better about posting because it reminds me to watch my food---including the peanut butter :-). TAke care and God Bless  Ginnyjane

A QUICK P.S.

It's me again.  Wonders will never cease!!  LOIS--I found that if I scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "first page" that I get the current postings. Doesn't seem logical to me but it works. Ginnyjane

HI TO ALL

Ginnyjane--glad you enjoyed your couch trip.  Always nice to go someplace with friends and make new friends.

Dolores--hope you can get your computer working again real soon----They are nice to have but when they are not working---it takes someone with knowledge to fix them.   Mine is 5 years old and not working as good as it should but I am not giving in to a new one.  Can't afford it.

Had a cloudy--humid fall day today.  Can't complain-sure is better that hot spell we had this summer.   My food choices are getting better--back to writing down everything I eat---have to improve---will keep working on that.  Got out my book again and started to read from page 1--didn't get very far but will keep at it.  Hope everyone is having a good evening.    Jane

Hello again

I am having trouble again getting on to post, I tried several times yesterday and finally decided I'd quit. JOY--be thankful for those inches off, your clothes will fit better and the lbs. will come off soon. I am about finished with the quilts I'm doing for the boys, and I got so excited trying to finish them that I am starting to cut out squares to start one for me now.  I'm not in a  hurry, but with winter coming on, I thought it would be a good time to sat at nite and watch tv and sew.  I still have'nt cked in w/curves here in town. JANE--glad you got to visit w/your dtr., sure hope her health is improving. I know that is a concern for you and Bill.  I also see that the pep talk your youngest dtr. gave you must have done some good. I see your last post shows you are really starting to get w/it again--good for you.  JINNYJANE--glad you enjoyed your trip, but sorry that your dear friend had passed away when you returned.  Hope Dolores gets her computer running again.  I miss her because she always post alot and she's funny.  I enjoy her postings.  Better get busy, Washed my sheets and got to get the bed made. I am making a meat loaf for supper, one of Leo' favorites. So till later, every one keep good thoughts and good food choices, take care, Lois  P.S. I notice the time that I post must be Calif. time. because it is 2 hrs earlier than I write. My time right now shows 1:20 pm.

It's not quite 7pm yet, but we are tired. We left town at 9:30, went to a nursing home about 35 min. away and visited an hour with Leo's btr in law, (97 yrs last month), he's hard of hearing and can't see very well, but loves company and is a very gentle, kind and loving christian man.  He loves the church and people, several from church has been to visit him.  We left there and drove about 65 miles to the "camping world" which has every thing for rvs, but we did'nt find the bicycle rack Leo wanted. We had lunch and then drove home. It was nearly 4 when we got here.  Last nite we spent 3 hrs at the hospital with my niece and her hubby, my sister(her mother) fell and broke her right wrist in 2 places and had to have surgery.   We still have'nt had any rain, we watered back yard but need to water front now. There's no rain in the forecast either. Our HUGE lake is beginning to show the draught.  JINNYJANE--that clking on "first page" has'nt worked for me yet. I just tried it and it went back to JULY 24, then when  I clk on "reply with quote" it takes me to sign in and when I sign in, it takes me to my profile and I have to keep clking on things till I finally get to here or I just shut it off.  I wish they would make it more simply to post. I hate this getting dark early, I know winter is coming, but I hate the dark early.  Everyone have a great week-end, take care, Lois

Greetings to All

Haven't made the board for a few days but glad to see more postings.  Jane...do hope your daughter is getting rid of her tubes by now and feeling better.  Dolores....sure hope your health improves, too.  Ginnyjane....nice to have you back.  Lois....sounds as though the quilting bug has found you,,,,enjoy.  This Friday is our quilt of the month day so we are going to the quilt shop in the morning...9:00 - 9:30 and then going back to my SIL to spend the day sewing.  I've been going to the gym each day except this Saturday I spent the whole day at church.  I have to take my 3 granddaughters for piano lessons this Tuesday so have decide I will take my computer to Best Buy for a checkup as it's near their lessons which gives me 1 1/2 hours.  This computer is driving me nuts as it quits on me when I'm right in the middle of things.  Hope they can fix it...sure they can if I get it there.  I'll probably E-mail from my laptop as I don't have that one hooked to the Internet.  Continue to keep watching it!   Joy
