Topic : 08/15 Rude and Crude People

I had a friend..PAST TENSE, and I fell for her lies on how she was treated, by her ex, and his family and by others in town, tht have known her for years. Boy, did I have an eye opening..She has done computer porn, when her kids are in bed. and she has a mouth on her that is sick. Stle from "friends' and lies so bad...She even told me, over and over, if anyone makes her mad, They better watch out,,Quote" I carry a knife, and if need be, I'll use it". We'll we had a falling out, months ago, over money she owes me for a cell phone bill. Before I was told all of this,  she skipped town, due to the rubber checks she had written. Left her daughter, with her EX and took off to see this guy, she met 2 weeks before, on line. Not the first guy she gone to have a "meeting" with..Was informed she is coming back to settle something and that I had better watch my back!! I have gone to the Sheriff's Dept and explained everything. Was told,I have to get a Restraining order on her and Yell out, if she comes near me..Why can't she be locked up!! She owes me over $2300 !! That's theft to me.

I believe that there is a lack of just plain COMMON SENSE  these days. People push by ya without saying excuse me.... nobody says please or thankyou... when women hold the door for a man they don't even say THANK YOU!  What is going on with people these days??????  Do we have to teach COMMON SENSE as a course in school also?????

The restraining order is a good idea, as for the cell phone bill, well if you don't want to go to court over it, kiss it goodbye, $2300, man that sucks.

Okay, you know she lies, and I'm sure you're not the only one who knows this, I wonder if maybe the threats and the knife thing are just bluterings of a woman who wants her life to have more drama in it, or the threats are of a person who wants to keep her friends in line ?

You were wise to kill the friendship, leave it dead, this woman sounds like she's going down, and wants to take as many people with her as she can, hang tough.

So yes, the Restraining Order is a good thing, a precaution worth taking, and if she calls, let the machine pick it up, if there are threats on it, take it to the police, I'm not sure if you could press charges for uttering threats, but at least then she's on their radar, and it might just be a violation of the order.

And yes, that's theft to me as well, have you spoken to legal counsel about this ?

I agree with you about people pushing by you without saying "excuse me" and more often than not people don't say "thank you 'for a simple gesture like holding a door open.  i find that woman and children are like this just as often as men.  People seem to have a sense of entitlement-that it is their right to have a door held open for them and that they don't need to show any gratitude.  Add to the list the people who shout into their cell phones at restaurants, people who block aisles and doorways in the stores, rudeness from customer service people on the phone.  The list goes on and on.

 

I teach young children, and I can see where the rudeness starts.  Many parents don't teach basic consideration and manners to their kids. Rare is the child that says "please' and " thank you".  I do try to teach the kids in my class to say "please' and "thank you", but unless it is reinforced by parents it won't stick.  Kids are also very spoiled and self-centered. There is such a prevailing "me me me" attitude even with very young children. Materialism starts real young.  Girls with Coach bags are getting younger and younger, and they put others down who don't have these things.  Parents, do any of you see yourselves here? If I got even one person to think about teaching their kids some manners, then today was a good day!

When I happen to be around someone who is disrespectful or uses really foul language, it makes me really uncomfortable. It makes me want to avoid that person. I think that people who are rude and crude feel comfortable the way they are. They may not even realize how they affect other people. Maybe some of them just don't even care. Now it's not that I have never heard cussin' or that I don't get upset and say a **** or a **** once in a while. But, I do respect other people.

I believe that rude people just don't care that they are rude. They don't care about the feelings of others and say what they want to no matter whose feelings they hurt.

I believe "self-centeredness" is getting more and more common.  Kids think that they are owed something.  Like that show "sweet 16" on MTV... those kids are rediculous.  They throw a fit if they don't get exactly what they want.  Years ago, even when my parents were growing up, kids realized they have to work for what they want and it doesn't just magically appear infront of you when you throw a fit.  Parents don't always teach their children that.  They are too worried about not making their children mad or being their child's friend, instead of disipline and showing them the way the world is...instead of the way they want it to be.  It's not just the parents fault either...it's society.  We as a country...as a world... are materialistic and self centered.  People worry too much about themselves and not what they can do to make the world a little nicer.  Holding doors...saying hello to people passing you on the street...helping the older woman walk up the steps...JUST COMMON RESPECT!!!

I was in a department store buying clothes.  I went to find a dressing room and there were two girls in front of the three-sided mirror just standing in front of and blocking one of the rooms.  They were talking about how her butt fit in jeans, blah blah blah.  I said "Excuse me", but they ignored me.   I stood there for all but 30 seconds before i saw red!  I have a type A personality, so i wasn't having it.  I pushed the little one out of my way as I took my rightful place in the dressing room.  As I walked by, the little b^&*# said "Excuse you", like it was MY fault that she's self absorbed.   The rude only respond to rudeness.  You pretty much have to smack them upside the head before they get it.  I think of it as teaching them a lesson.  They need manners worse than anything else.

I realize that playing "devil's advocate" with myself is a bit odd, but whatever.  There are probably other ways with dealing with rude people without resorting to the "Kill Bill" style of vindictiveness.  How else can I shove a rude person into reality without breaking my foot off in his butt? (Isn't that a lovely image?).  Hmmm....

Some people that are like this. Have attitude problems. Because they don't like something about them selfs and they are rude to others to make themselfs feel better
