First of all ,I hope you are all fit & well ,& Many many thanks for all of the Birthday ecards ,emails & everything ,Lovely to know you all remembered ,It meant a lot ,Well the weekend did not go quite as planned ,but I think it was all the better for it ,My Uncle fell & broke his ankle ,so was not able to get to the scattering of the ashes ,My cousin has Lupus & with all of the stress was really not well ,with all good intentions our small family get together seemed to get out of control & upward of 40 people + had decided that they too wanted to say goodbye to Mum ,& Auntie Rosemary ,it all got too much for both Ros (my cousin) & myself ,so we decided to arrange another day in the spring maybe ,maybe before Christmas ,we don't know ,she is finding letting her Mum go far harder than she thought possible ,anyway ,we both felt a sense of relief that we do not have to rush things & will decide together what we want to do & when ,my sister does not mind as she feels that Mum is no longer here & the ashes are just a token ,well we all see & feel things differently ,so for now my Mum sits on the sideboard ,looking resplendent in her pink & silver finery ,guess it will be different wrapping paper & Christmas twinkly lights for Christmas for her ,as my friend Lesli said ,She always loved Christmas ,& thinks she wanted to stay around this year ,we shall be pleased to have her ( with a discreet label on the sparkly package that is my Mum saying "Please do NOT open " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(lol)..well you have to smile or it could break your heart ,! Anyway John & the girls gave me a weekend to remember ,far from feeling sad at not having my Mum ,here with me for the first time in my life ,John arranged for a very special friend to come down from the north ,,they took me to a restaurant bought me a bottle of Champagne,& Amy popped out saying that she had to collect a present !!!!!!!!!!!!,& after collecting Chrissy (my friend) from Reading station ,bought her back to me ,I had absolutely no idea & we both cried like babies when we saw each other , we just hugged kissed & held one another

all weekend we both needed to see one another , she has had a pretty hard couple of years too & it has been almost two years since we had seen one another ,So it was an amazing time ,we all went out for dinner in the evening ,John ,myself ,Chrissy ,Luisa & Gary ,Amy & Adam ,& my sister & niece ,& for lunch yesterday before Chrissy had to return home the girls cooked Paella ,,& tonight the girls friends are all coming with food & Wine etc ,& it's round two ,(lol) & I even fitted the hygienist in this morning & another appointment in the morning tomorrow ,! Quite A manic few day's days huh ! well have to get a wriggle on & go & get ready for party part due !, Love to you all ,Chat again soon Susie xxxxxxxx
