((((Karen)))))))

6 lbs you go girl. Okay 10 lb of lard coming off next. You can do it. Now quit the crying girl. What's all this blubbering about anyway?  You are doing better then you think. Just get the routine yes routine down of chosing foods wisely and making sure your portions aren't too light, then some exercise and let's start melting that lard away. I've only got 1 lb gone of the ham I'm working on but a pound is a pound and I'll take it and move on.  Hang in there missy you can do this I know you can.

I read your response to Queen B and your comments about losing your dad. Now this may sound pretty weird and down right blunt.......remember I just lost my mother last year so I'm sure this is a transition I'm going through too...........but think about it............we are not the only ones who have lost a parent or loved one. As a matter of fact the day we are born we are destined to die. So I'm always amazed how unprepared we are when the time comes to say our goodbyes. This includes me too. Thought I'd be better prepared at 50+. Just remember they are in a far better place so beautiful that we cannot even imagine. No pain, no heartache, no illnesses just pure love and happiness. Remember they are always with us. When you think about it, they really are.  Sure we miss them whether we got along with them or not. We miss the phone calls, visits, letters and just talking. Heck we probably even miss the fights!!!! ((((((smiling)))))))) But weren't we so lucky to have them in our life for better or for worse.......they were a part of our lives. Hang in there girlfriend. Now go to that mirror that's right.....look deep into your beautiful eyes and where's that smile come on now there it is.  Okay let's get that 10lbs of lard melting off. You can do it.......

Your in my thoughts and prayers. You are going through a very difficult time with your dad having terminal cancer. I'm glad hospice is there to help. Help interesting word isn't it. Help at what one tends to say. Well, to make the transition easier and assist in anyway they can. It isn't easy, nobody said it would be. However, remember you are not alone in your journey. Many of us have already taken that journey with one or perhaps both parents. It's never easy, but yet a part of life. It's a time of sharing your love and caring for your dad. Yeap, all of a sudden you are but a little girl yet once again if only in thought. Daddy's little girl. This is a special time to share with your dad. Take Care.

((((((Bev)))))))

Yes, you certainly have been through a lot with taking care of your aging parents. Takes a great deal out of you. There was one time when I thought bring on the Hagen Daas Ice Cream and let's just have the big one and be done with it!!!!!! Who the heck wants to go through this slow death stuff. (((((((((((winking))))))) No I'm not eating Hagen Daas now.....heck I can't even spell it correctly (((((((((smiling)))))))))))

Now it's time for Bev to heal and enter back into the mainstream. It will take time and your edges will smooth down again. Life will be good again. It will. You'll see. Time has a way of helping out.

Maximizing Weight Loss Through the Tough Times

well I am dealing with stomach issues again---started shortly after breakfast.

Could be nerves(youngest is coming suppose to come by today) could be stomach trouble starting up again. All I know is I am tired of this.I am doing breathing to relax, have taken stomach medication--yuck! and using heat on abdomen.

I will keep hang in--I'm not giving up--just frustrated with the body flare ups is all.

I get alittle relief in one area and another acts up.could be worse I guess.

Happy Saturday

Well every-one Machin was released from hospital today, to come to our home. . Still has the staph infection and it is still draining a lot. . but I am sure this is a much better enviroment for her to be in. .  Her Hubby is also coming here for the weekend as well as the 3 girls will still be here. . This week anyways. . . She has steps at her house so until all her staples are out this is the best place. . They will be removed next Friday. .

Karen . . .great news about your weight loss, as well as, the new method of testing the nodes.Sound like it is much less invasive and not as painful. . . I am not in a losing mode nor will I be until our house is our own again. .  .Too many mouths to feed and too much cooking. . .

BB BEV. . . My prayers are with you G/F. . you have had just too darn much stuff happening the past few years. . As Karen said a number of things can be causing the memory loss. . With me sometimes it is my selective listening. . I tend to ignore a lot of what is told me if I am not interested. . I know it is a very bad habit and can appear rude but it is just not intentional. . I think it is because I  had a career that was so exacting and detailed nothing could be forgotten. . Then when I sold the business I think I retired that part of my make-up as well. . . Please let us know what the Dr.'s say. . and if you are not pleased with the first Dr. be sure and get a referral to one who is sympathetic to you. .

DIANA. . . Short and sweet but so often you hit the nail on the head. . Thanks for posting you seem to have a real grasp of things. . Some good advice coming form you Gal. .

VICKIE. . So hoping for you and your daughter to have a good understanding after her visit today. . Hope you are feeling a bit better and PLEASE. . let the patch do the job. . but it does need your perserverience to make it work. . . I am convinced that the cigarette smoke could be a big part of your allergy problems so maybe this will help your over-all health. . . Here's  my prayer to give you the strength to kick the habit. .

MARION. . Did I miss a message that you wwere having another open house? ? If so sorry, but it may have been in an e  mail to Karen.  .Whatever. .I wish you every success. . It can be a pain in the butt. . but oh my I remember how clean my house always was when I knew strangers were going through it. . .

Hugs to all. .. take care. . .Reen/Pooz

thanks again

stomach is alittle better,I was finally able to get some sleep.when I woke the swelling was down and the pain has calmed down some.Daughter hasn't been here--unless she came by and knocked while I was here asleep and dh was gone or in the garage.

I remember trying to wake-up to the sound of someone at the door--but couldn't get myself to wake.

If it was her she will come back later. She may have found herself working today after all.
