And the Ten Commandments of Weight Loss

I am revisiting these, posted by one of our group, earlier...


THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF WEIGHT LOSS

1) Thou shalt honor thy health and good spirits above all else.

2) Thou shalt not go on crash diets; there lieth the way of madness.

3) Thou shalt not clean thy neighbor's plate.

4) Thou shalt not eat when thine eye lusteth but when thy stomach
doth supplicate for sustenance.

5) Thou shalt sup chiefly on the fruits of the earth, the grains and
vegetables thereof; on the fowl of the air and the fish of the
seven seas, whence donuts cometh not.

6) Thou shalt not eat when thou art miserable, for food is not a
medicine unto the soul.

7) Thou shalt take exercise daily; for why hast thou sinew and bone,
legs and sneakers?

8) Thou shalt be patient but not forgetful of meal times.

9) Thou shalt take delight in every good friend and good song, in
every good walk and good day; for to enjoy them more is why these
commandments are given unto you.

10) Thou shalt not knit thy brow if thou transgress a commandment,
but forgive thyself; for it is written, nine out of 10 is not
too shabby.

Every day is a one day challenge for me - still hoping that one of these days I get it right .... I have been doing OK with the fruits, veggies, fiber and water .... what I need to work on today is the IE ... somehow that has fallen to the  wayside and that explains all the STS weeks for me ... time to kick it up a notch ....

RAVEN - Enjoyed your 10 Commandments of Weight Loss.  At almost the same time you were posting this I was posting A Dieter's Prayer......think it is just before your post.  With these 2 examples we should have a good day......day by day.

SUCH GREAT INSPIRATION THIS MORNING..THANKS GALS...I TOO NEEDED IT....AND YES RAVEN COUNT ME IN!!! I CAN AND WILL DO IT STARTING WITH THE ONE DAY...OH YA...IT'S GONNA FEEL GOOD....SO TODAY IS THE DAY FOR ME...I'M BUSY SPRING CLEANING IN HOPES SPRING WILL SOON COME...THAT'S FAITH...LOL...

 

I WAS GIVEN 2 WONDERFUL SURPRISES YESTERDAY...MY YOUNGEST DD SENT ME A PLANE TICKET TO BE WITH THEM ON MY ELDEST GD'S BD MARCH 21 ST....SO I WILL BE THERE FROM THE 21ST - 26 TH OF MARCH....I AM SO EXCITED...WILL GET TO SEE OUR SWEET MARION TOO AS SHE ONLY LIVES A HOP SKIP AND A JUMP FROM THEM....SMILING....

 

THEN MY ELDEST DD SURPRISED ME BY TELLING ME IN MAY OR EARLY JUNE SHE WANTS TO TAKE ME ON A 2 WEEK TROPICAL HOLIDAY...WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO NOW ISN'T THAT A GREAT INCENTIVE TO STAY ON TRACK....LEANING TOWARDS THE CARRIBEAN.... I AM SO EXCITED....  I CAN'T LOSE ALL MY WEIGHT BY THEN BUT CAN CERTAINLY LOSE A ROLL MAYBE..LOL... I HAVE NEVER BEEN OVERSEAS SO THIS IS SUCH A SURPRISE....

 

THEN END OF JUNE BEGINNING OF JULY I MEET UP WITH SOME OF YOU GALS HERE TOO..SUCH AN EXCITING TRAVEL YEAR FOR ME....I AM SO MOTIVATED TO GET THIS WEIGHT OFF AND I'M QUITTING SMOKING AGAIN...ON MARCH 10TH....SO SAY A PRAYER THAT I MAKE IT THIS TIME....I'M HOPEFUL....

KAREN - How lovely for you Karen......am just delighted that you will be having all these special travel times. 

 

Can you just imagine how excited your G/D's will be to see you.......what a great birthday present for Hayleigh.

 

Carribean sounds like a great place to go........you just enjoy every minute of it.

 

Nice that Raven has started the 1-Day Challenge.......now we have 3 doing it.  Baby steps is a good start whe you have fallen off the wagon.  Before we know it we will be right back up there and on a roll.

HEY EVERYBUDDIE- I AM HOME

we just got home and got the groceries put away.  got some great foods for the week.  i had a salad this week at work.  grilled chicken on baby spinach and baby romaine with cranberries and pecans, some shredded cheese and ff dressing............was it ever good.  i bought the stuff to make it myself at home.  i also bought some sunflower seeds for my salads and will use a tablespoon or so on them.  got my fresh milk and "skinny" bread, some fruits and veggies so i am set for a while again.

 

also replaced my yogurts and snack items.

 

we also bought some cornish hens for tomorrow night.  never had them before but will roast them like i do the chicken.

 

i am going to read posts and then will be back.  hope i didnt miss everybuddie.

 

will be in and out all day

one day challenge

count me in.  yaaaaaahoooooooooo  you read my mind.  tomorrow was a new start day for me as this past week with not being home all week and having to eat out, i didnt always make the best of choices.  its hard when i have to move away from home to stick to the eating plan i had established.

 

now with tomorrows one day challenge..............................i can get back on track..................with incentive and inspiration

you know these pain in the a**e computers are not exactly my strong point ! but to add to your favorites on my system is really easy !top left hand corner under google are two stars ...one is just one orange star ,,,the next  an orange star with a green sort of plus sign ..thats my add to fav key ....hope this helps (  confused the h*ll out of me ! but hey you are far more on the ball !(lol) good luck ....Love Susie xxxxx  p,s.
