been watching the news about the woman from Michigan who has been missing.  They have found her.............parts of her anyway.  Body parts in different areas of a metro park and at her home.  her hubby is on the run..............................not a real long way from my house, maybe an hour.  what a shame.  and she has two very  young children.  the oldest is 6. the youngest 4.  what is this world coming too.  makes me want to hide away forever.

Just read your post after reading an article in the newspaper today a lady with what they believe to be post natal depression she  killed her two small children ,then hung herself ,,i wanted to cry ,how dreadfully sad that she was so depressed she thought that this was the only way out ! a very good friend of mine some years ago had post natal depression ,it was awful ,she changed so much we hardly recognized her ! it took some time before she was able to function properly ,she was lucky that she had  good family & friends around her ...so much more common than we often realize, mental health issues are very complex ..& scary ,there is also a case again in the papers of a young father on holiday last year with his wife & two very young children ,his wife told him she wanted a divorce & was taking the children ,he grabbed the children & jumped from the balcony of the 5th floor his little boy died while he & his little girl were injured but survived ! i read today that he had two brothers who also committed suicide .their poor mother ,she is elderly & a widow ,she has moved to Greece to be with her son ,they are a broken family ! as you say "What is the world coming too " i too sometimes want to just pull the covers up over my head , &  try to block the world out ,!!!!!!!! SUSIE, YOU ARE SUCH A SWEETHEART.    I am laughing with you not at you.    You know the little post you answered for Alice, did you realize that she posted that on June 22, 2005.  When you go to the beginnin of the posts, it is about 3 or 4 down from the top.

susie...................good thing that person had family is right.  its a real shame that postpartum depression can do that.

 

just recently here..............close to here again...........a young mother stabbed her two children to death and all of their family pets.  3 dogs and a hamster i think.  cut the kids up awfully bad.  a single mom but she had the kids taken away from her before.  that is a problem with the welfare system.  now there are another 2 beautiful girls dead at the hands of their mother................................................stupid.................just stupid.

Hi everybuddy. I do still exist, have just been lurking. Count me in for that one day challenge on Sunday.  I sort of practiced today and did pretty good. We will do it one day at a time.  Beautiful picture of the eclipse Susie. What a lot of sad things going on in this troubled world.

 

On a brighter note, isn't it exciting that Karen is going on a nice holiday. I am soooooo envious.....ahh, maybe someday.  I am also looking forward to seeing Karen later this month.  Something to look forward to.

 

DD and I spent this afternoon starting seeds for the flower beds. Hopefully spring will come sometime soon so we can set them out in the sun. In the meantime, the trays are sitting around the house. This is the first time we have tried to start our own. Usually we just buy plants at the nursery, but this new back yard of ours takes an awful lot of plants and it cost us a fortune last year so we decided to try it this way this year. Gradually we will try and get in more perennials too so that we don't have to fill in quite so many spaces each year.  Our daffodils are starting to open up now would you believe.......and last week we had snow 3 days out of 7.  Hope they survive it all. It is a really crazy year weather wise.  .....Lucky you Reen down in Arizona in the sunshine. Enjoy it while you can as it will soon be time for you to return to Canada. Hopefully by then our weather will be nice again too.

WELL I DID WELL TODAY....ATE HEALTHY AND DID A LOT OF EXERCISE...WALKED 30 MINS AND SCRUBBED AND CLEANED FOR HOURS....LOL...GOTTA COUNT AS SOMETHING....

 

YES SO MANY TRAGIC THINGS GOING ON IN THE WORLD...AND THE WEE ONES SEEM TO HAVE LITTLE  PROTECTION FROM THE HANDS OF THOSE WHO THEY ARE ENTRUSTED TOO....MAY GOD INTERVENE SOON....

TOMORROW IS THE FIRST DAY OF OUR CHALLENGE OF ONE DAY AT A TIME....AND FOR THAT DAY WE CAN DO IT....PRACTICED TODAY AND DID WELL....LOOKING FORWARD TO TOMORROW BEING A LITTLE EASIER.....
