(Original Air Date: 02/20/07) You’ve heard the old adage: “Money can’t buy love,” but Dr. Phil’s guests say they’re in cash-only relationships. Hope is a self-professed “sugar babe” who says she is wined and dined by her sugar daddy, Davis, a wealthy businessman. There’s just one small catch: Hope is married! Her husband, Al, knows all about her financial arrangement, but still wants to stay in the relationship. How much longer can Hope balance both a spouse and a sponsor? Then, 34-year-old Kelly denies being a sugar mama, even though she pays for her 20-year-old boyfriend, Zachary's, personal needs including food, clothes and video games. She even moved him into her house! Kelly’s friend, Megan, says it’s high time Zachary got kicked to the curb! Does this May/December romance stand a chance, or are Zachary and Kelly wasting their time? Tell us what you think!

Find out what happened on the show.

OMG...

What a sad excuses for relationships. All of the people on this show need to realize how pathetic their choices truly are. TRUE maturity and happiness comes from a monogomus relationship with someone who respects you for  who you are and what your convictions in life are NOT because you can and are willing to give them money. HOW SAD for everyone involved in the show today. I think the man with the wife who has a sugar daddy needs to raise his standards. I dont' know if I actually believe that this is REAL. Surely NO ONE has a self-esteem so low that they accept these "relationships" as their standard for LOVE. I'd be ALONE for the rest of my life before I'd accept what they consider normal.

Age is only a number

I am sorry to say that what these people are doing is not right. The lady that is married....I feel for her husband. She is sleeping around and getting money...I think there is a name for that.??? I think they both need to go talk to someone and find out what problems they have that lend them this way.

The lady with the 20 yr old. boy. He will stay with her because he gets what he wants. I think she got her heart broke from a guy her age and so she is with a younger guy. I think it is gross that she is putting this man in front of her child. DR PHIL.....HELP THEM

I agree that the 20 yr old is just using her for money and gaming dates, but you cannot just write off all relationships with age differences and call them gross. I am a 23 yr old male and my girlfriend of almost 2 yrs now is 39 yrs old. We are more than happy and love everyday spent with one another. We both work full-time and I am also a small business owner. I just don't want people to be so blind to love and write it off a lust or greed...

Wow!

What's with the husband? I can't imagine anyone putting up with being treated like this! I want to go back and see if there are any updates on these people - Hope is hopeless (sorry but she needs a soul) and the 'sugar daddy' Davis? Who in there right mind would go on national television and say - he is surfing the net looking for free sex? (I know he didn't say it in so many words and I guess he is 'paying' in a sense.) What's with that? ......and don't get me started on the younger man - I thought it was perfect that Dr. Phil realized that the woman just didn't get it. She didn't come on looking for help but I wonder at what point she will wake up broke and alone? And neither the 'kept' people were gorgeous or anything. That surprised me too. I would think killer looks would be number one priority for a sugar daddy to be interested. Who knew?

Relationships now a days have gone down to hell.. There are no morals anymore...

The 20 year old kid will never learn to go out on his own and will always find a sucker that is willing to take care of him, and the lady with the sugar daddy... Well....going out with him in exchange for money and gifts makes her a you know what.. I don't care what nobody says...

one of Dr. Phil's best comments

Dr. Phil telling Hope that soon she "...won't be able to mark it down enough."

I'm still laughing!

Yikes

I wasn't surprised at the fact that there's a "sugardaddie.com" out there, nor surprised that the website would lead to a woman cheating on her husband. Believe it or not, out of the entire show the thing that surprised me the most was that guy had his wife's face tatooed on his arm! That has got to be the first time I have ever even heard of someone doing that! I was like "What?!"

I can't believe that woman Hope was ANY BODY'S girlfriend or wife. But I have to say, her husband made me more sick  than she did.

Here we are, "Cougars & Sugar Daddies" redux.

The young woman is "rented" arm candy (as are others like her), no strings or commitments...I'm with you, her hubby needs to grow a set asap. I know darn few men who would tolerate that sort of an arrangement for 5 minutes.

DOUBLE BLECH...Didn't "gold-digging" as an alleged career choice for women become passe a couple of decades ago, unless your name is Anna Nicole? The best face I can put on it is that it is "mutually exploitative," as opposed to "mutually uplifting" or "teamwork."

Okay, My two cents even though it might not be worth anything. They might as well be swingers. If her husband knows and dont care then who are they hurting? She is getting what she wants the money and he is getting what he wants, sex with no problems. I know men who are actually excited by the idea of paying a woman to have sex with them. It gives them a feeling of power. I have several friends that have been married for several years, very much in love and are hard core swingers. They love the lifestyle and wouldnt change it for anything.  So that said if they are happy with there arrangement then go for it. My wife wouldnt go for it and its not my cup of tea but we are not made from the same mold and we need to respect others for who they are not what they do, As long as it isnt hurting others.
