SO GREAT TO HEAR FROM YOU MEGAN

Quote From: denaults

This one caught my eye.  I am still catching up, but your message caught my eye.  My husband and I started Dave Ramsey's total money makeover in November of last year.  From November through March, we paid off around $6,000 in debt, plus paid cash for all Christmas gifts.  It is awesome.  We are still not totally debt free and our debt is actually growing - no insurance while pregnant is hard!  We have learned so many things.  We have actually put the Debt Snowball on hold while saving money to have for after the baby is born.  What a blessing it was when my husband's truck broke down and we had the $1,000 emergency fund to pay for it.  Also, when I totally added wrong in the checkbook and overdrew our checking account by over $300 - we had the cash to put in there.  What a relief knowing that you have that money saved up in case you need it.  Such peace.  Do you listen to Dave Ramsey on the radio?  I try to catch him every day.  It is such an inspiration to listen to other's who are now Debt Free.  Fridays are the best days if you can only listen once a week.   Just had to respond to your post.  Good Luck and Take Care - with Gazelle Intesity you can do this!!!!  Megan

I don't care if you're whining....WE MISSED YOU!  So glad that you are able to get back on.

I'm so sorry for your emotions and hormones.  I know that is very overwhelming.  I know it's hard to get back on track when you just don't feel good.  I can say lots of things like "You can do it" and "Don't give up" but I know that might just make you feel worse.  Keep your eyes on the prize.  Your precious baby will be in your arms soon and you will be able to get back on track.  I thinkyou are doing great, and you are under the weights of your other pregnancies.  Just try to make good choices from here on out.  I'm sorry about your money issues for groceries.  I'm not sure what to tell you, except for what just worked for me.  Do you scan your circulars for the best deals on healthy things as opposed to higher fat things?  Do you have access to coupons?  Is there a food bank at a local church or a farmers market where you can get some fresh produce?

Just don't worry.  You WILL make it through this.  It sounds like you made good choices with Dave's plan.  Is there anything in your house you can sell to get some extra cash?  I've been scanning everything to see what I can sell.

Anyway, so great to hear from you again.  Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

Big (((((hugs))))) to you!

Hi Ladies

I was looking around Oprahs website and she has a booty camp. Her plan is the same that I understand but for a whole month you do not eat any whole wheat products. I am assuming no breat, pasta type things. You also can not have potatos, corn or beets. I was over welmed by the no bread, pasta but I know I can do one a day. What do you ladies think?  You also drink no wine. Which is fine I do not drink it anyway.

Well I am doing good. I have been very stressed about money. I did have to much rice yesterday for dinner. Other then that I am doing good. I exercised on my statanary bike for 20 minutes. I know it is not alot but it is a start and that was all the time I had. Tomorrow is a new day and it will be better. Talk to you all later.

Hi Everyone

Megan, I’m so thrilled to see you again! Oh my, it sounds like you’re in a stressful situation right now. I’m glad you feel free to “vent” here. Sorry I can’t give you a hug in person, but I trust you’ll see your way through, and will feel better again before long.

You’ve learned a lot, and it won’t be lost. Do what you can to take care of yourself (and your precious little one on board), and in time you’ll be able to get back into routine. Until then, whatever bit of exercise you can get in will be a help, so just do what you’re able.

By the way, how recent is you picture? I think you look beautiful! I’m glad that you finally found your way back to us. Please keep in touch. God bless!

Melissa, good going on the bike today.  Let us know what IE you get in tomorrow, if that’s a help. Today I went to Curves, and if I’m smart, I’ll head to bed in a few minutes so I’ve got enough energy for a good workout at home tomorrow.

Tonight I was just about climbing the walls, wanting to eat! I did have some sweet stuff after dinner, and then I was obsessing about what else I wanted for several hours afterwards. I did quit though, and at least didn’t add more damage. This white knuckling is for the birds!

Well, hubby just got back from a long day, getting our son settled back in residence. They (along with his girlfriend) then went out to a Canadian Tire, and two Ikea stores to get some more storage equipment for their rooms, and some things that hubby wanted for home and the office. So, the house is a little quieter again. I didn’t break down this morning when they left, but my eyes did get a little moist last evening, just talking with ds, in anticipation of his departure.  (big sigh)

Well, off for some sleep now. I’ll check in again tomorrow. Welcome back again Megan, and have a good day tomorrow, everyone.

Brenda.

I've been meaning to ask if you've been able to get back to your on-line diaries? You put such incredible work into that. Have you found them?

yes, our wonderful moderator helped me to access them.....with a LOT of hard work.  I'm so thankful that all that history is not lost.  it's a huge part of me and my journey!

Wow!  I can't believe you held it together when your son left.  I just picture myself crumpling on the floor and sobbing for days.  Are you an emotional person?  I think you can figure out that I AM!  ha ha!  I cry over everything!

Have a great day everyone.

Are you still there, philboard moderator?  We missed YOU too!  LOL

Now for the request......can you do anything with THIS picture?  My hubby found a way to get it on there, but it's kind of fuzzy and squishy.....

I guess I can live with fuzzy and squishy if I HAVE to, though!  ;-)

I remember seeing a picture of your husband a while ago.  Has he lost weight too?  I don't remember him being the size he is in your new pic?  Megan

I am trying to work my way through this new setup, somehow, no matter what I click on I keep going the opposite direction in posts.  Hopefully I will figure it out soon.

Linda and all

Oh, I’m so glad to hear that, Linda.  Have you thought about printing your journal off or copying it to a word document? I’ve thought, long before we were temporarily shut down that the site could suddenly disappear on us. (No offense Dr. Phil, but TV shows don’t last forever.)

Am I an emotional person? Hmmmm.  Somewhat. I have a friend who tears up at some point during every conversation we have, so I’m not like that.  I think that I used up most of my life’s supply of tears in dealing with serious teen issues, so although part of me found it difficult to see Jeff go off again, I’m so thankful for the growth that I see in him, and it’s good to see him spreading his wings. He’s a wonderful, caring, considerate, intelligent young man, and God has truly blessed us through him.

On another note, I can’t find my book! (UWS) I’ve got the food guide that summarizes some of the keys, but I’ve got to find the original one! I know it’s around here somewhere.  I’ve starting doing some key work again (starting at #1), but I’d like to work through some of the audits again. How frustrating!

I DID get a decent sleep last night, and got in a good solid hour of IE. Most of my food choices have been very good today (thanks a lot for getting me started on Mini Wheats – I over did it with them for a snack this afternoon!) LOL  I’ve been recording my food & water, and so far I’m on track with my water for the day. I’m DETERMINED to get the scale moving again! I know I’ve been saying that for close to a year now, but I’m NOT giving up!

How’s everyone else today? I always love hearing your reports. Enjoy the weekend everyone. J

I think you can fix the order that posts show up by going to your profile. Near the bottom, I think you have the option for order that they're arranged. Also, while on the site, if you're inactive for a while, it automatically logs you out.  While I'm logged out, the posts show up from oldest to newest, then when I log on, the order reverses.  Hope that's of some help.

hello everyone!!

Its been awhile since Ive been to this board.  Ive been on another regularly and come here from time to time to say hey!!  I am still on board with the diet.  I am down to 147.  Still losing but at a much slower rate.  A lady at Mikes (my husbands) work lives down the street from me and she is trying to lose weight and invited me to walk with her in the afternoons.  Since I got 4 kids 2 are very young I cant be gone long but she only walks for 30minutes.  We just go to the school parking lot and walk around it a few times.  Time sure does fly when you do it with someone you know and just talk and talk.  Sure does help.  I am feeling sore just doing that everyday so its working building muscles!!  It is more than I normally do in a day.

Megan.. hi nice to meet you.  Sounds like you have your hands full with kiddies too.  I have all girls 14, 9, 3, 10months.  I am trying to lose my prego pounds.  Ive tried alot of things and only Dr phils seem to be working.  I gained more than I should with my 3 yr old, and tried atkins and lost 10 but gained 20 after it!  Then got pregnant again and had to really watch my weight not to gain a whole bunch more on top of it.   Some ideas of cheap foods that would be good for you is salad.  Are you in US?  IF so you might qualify for food stamps or wic which will give you milk for you and any kids under 3 I think.   Even a little will help!  Good Luck I bet you are getting really excited about the new one on the way!!

Well all older two have started school and love it so far.  So I am having the total task again of the two little ones.  What a handful!!  Its a shame of what is going on in the gulf states.  I have donated asome things I have here at home that is extra stuff we dont really use.  The school is having a water bottle drive too.  I tried to start a food and item drive as well and I was going to haul it to a drop off location but school was set on just having the water bottle drive.  OH well... Ill just give what I got here.  We have alot of people coming to our state here to shelters.  Also all campsites here at the parks are being given to them for free to stay at.  So things are going to be needed for a few months.  Just wish I could help more but got the little ones I have to take care of here.

Well I best go.  Take care everyone!!

((hugs))

big news!

Good to see you again, Jen. Congrats on continuing to loose that baby weight. Sounds like you're doing great!

I just wanted to pop by and share some family news. Our middle son just called this evening to announce his engagement! We knew it was coming sometime soon, but it was pretty exciting to hear the news from him. The plan is to wait until he's done school in two more years. We've already come to really love his fiancee (that sounds so strange!) -- she's a real sweetie.

I did a little more key work again today, and managed to fight off some wicked cravings with my green tea. I'm determined to win this battle!
