You all know the benefits of keeping a Diary or Journal, but maybe you have not given it much thought to the advantage of a Journal you can carry around with you.  An online Diary or Journal has several disadvantage.  You can not take it with you.  That site or your computer crashes, there goes your records.  You have to have access to a computer to read your information also.  That is not as quick of a referrence as a hard copy in your hand!   FYI  LOL

KIT

I'VE NEVER TRIED A JOURNAL, BUT IT SURE SEEMS LIKE A GOOD IDEA.

HOW ARE YOU DOING, PALKIT?

Hello Everyone!

I think our long over due attempt at a discussion went very well.  I will answer Shari's questions sometime this week.  Debbie I hope you have more to add to this discussion it does not have to end.  Anyone have a Key that is giving them problems?  My favorite key as Andie pie can tell you is EXERCISE  KEY #6 and the Key I think helped me the most is Key #3 Fail Proof Enviroment.  That key has really helped to get me organized and keep me on track.  It has had the biggest effect on my program by sticking to it.  The easiest and most enjoyable Key is Key #7 and this duscussion is just one example of the Circle of Support I have enjoyed over the past year and a half.

I know I am going to be glued to the Weather Channel the next few days.  Say a BIG prayer for the people in the path of Hurricane Katrina.

Plan a good week by Journaling that exercise and planning that menu for the week.

Stay safe!

WARNING! From Blue --Way-off subject!

Recycled/Edited from Blue Notes Message Board

Our recycle bin is overflowing
Tonight my heart is too
I already leaked this secret
Somewhere else and not to you

I didn’t mean to wave-the-flag just yet
But need all the support that I can get
So PLEASE read below and pass it on

Ask DR. PHIL to create a YELLOW RIBBON BOARD until the war is won!

If I tell you a secret...
Promise not to tell?
MIKE is leaving Monday
He is going to THAT HELL
There are other MOTHERS out there
Who shout and rant and yell
But MIKE'S MOM write rhymes... Like MOTHER GOOSE
Does that name ring a bell?

As before, you will see parts of this post recycled elsewhere edited and revised. That’s sort of the way I work --thinking aloud/before a crowd/ thinking on my feet/ not always so neat! / Should I scrap this post?/ One click! And ZAP! IT’S toast/ Or save and paste and post/ What matters most to me?/ MIKE is MY SON, you see!

There is something NEW being formed with-in me these last days. We plan to help launch a support forum of some sort. Here on drphil.com? Don’t know! I think this idea is way overdue. Most Americans agree to support OUR TROOPS. That’s wonderful. But we can do more. OUR TROOPS are individuals... every soldier is someone’s son or daughter. FAMILIES are in that war.

THE WAR has hit my home. I must at the very least keep a light in the window. Maybe September 11th is a GOOD DAY to give birth to a board to SUPPORT OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS. Stay tuned!

Morning Everybuddy

Yes, we will have to stay glued to the TV to see what Katrina is doing.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who had to evacuate in New Orleans and all of you in the southern part of the country.

Kit-----good point about the on=line diaries........best to keep one that you can take with you. (((winking))))

Finally sat down yesterday and did a grocery list for big shopping and little shopping days. I'm sure I'll be editing that for a different format and for consolidating categories a little better but at least it's a start. ((((((smiling)))))))

Now getting the house back to fail safe........how'd that happen anyway......family birthdays that's how (((((((smiling)))))))

Good Afternoon All

Waving at Andiepie ...nice to see you.

Well i think the discussion went very well and as Kit says it doen't have to end...We all benefit from discussions...no matter how long you have been on the program...there is always something that needs to be fine tuned...

I am still doing that to all the keys....my problem is using all of them all the time...

Bill is due home any minute so I have to cut this short..he will only be here for 10 hrs then a delivery then back home maybe for 34...so I will see you all around the end of the week..

Keep working the keys, keep building your knowledge, keep working on YOU...

0h Middle Age Plus and We Got Real

IT'S REALLY GOOD TO COME HERE AND HAVE MESSAGES TO READ. THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING HERE. YEP THIS IS DEFINATELY THE BEST FORM OF KEY 7!!!

I TOO AM WAITING FOR A MESSAGE FROM DEB AND VICKI TOO! I KNOW YOU BOTH HAVE LOTS OF GOOD INFORMATION TO SHARE!

KITS JOURNALING AND CHARTS; SHARIS ENCOURAGING BUTT KICKING; CHILLYS CLOSET DIVERSIONS; BLUENOTES RHYMES;AND BARB WHO SHARED HER NEED FOR WORK  ON KEY 4; AND LOOK HOW MANY PAGES WE FILLED UP LAST WEEK! IT WAS ALL GREAT!! SO LET'S PLEASE KEEP IT GOING! I STILL NEED TO WORK KEY 4 MUCH BETTER AND I AM SURE I WILL WITH ALL THE WONDERFUL IDEAS HERE. LIKE KIT EXERCISE HAS TURNED OUT TO BE MY THING. I REALLY THINK WE HAVE TO GET STARTED WORKING ON THIS RIGHT AWAY. IF YOU ARE MAKING EXERCISE A DAILY PART OF YOUR LIFE THE BATTLE IS HALF WON I THINK. IT IS SO MUCH EASIER TO KEEP THE FOOD IN ORDER AND GET THE WATER DOWN WHEN YOU ARE EXERCISING. IF YOU HAVE PHYSICAL PROBLEMS YOU MAY HAVE TO SEARCH FOR WHAT YOU CAN DO BUT IT IS WELL WORTH THE TROUBLE!  IT JUST SEEMS THE REST FALLS INTO PLACE MUCH EASIER THEN.

WELL, I GOTTA GET TO BED. YOU REALLY HAVE TO HAVE A CLEAR HEAD TO DEAL WITH A BUS FULL OF KIDS WHO CAN'T TALK PLAIN.

HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY AND THAT I SEE LOTS OF YOU HERE WHEN I GET BACK TOMORROW...

COME OUT DEBBIE AND VICKI!!!!!

Blue Note to 7th Power

Mike’s Light
Shines Bright
Tonight

The flag beneath it is much too large
The homemade ribbon too bright
The neighbors won’t like it
Oh, what a sight!!!

BUT Mike’s Light
Shines Bright
Tonight

Folks may not want to see it
In their neighborhood
Because it is a symbol
Perhaps misunderstood

Tonight I have spent the evening reading the boards rather than writing rhymes for them. Thanks to those of you who have read about Mike’s deployment and responded. A version of the message below was sent to Dr. Phil COMMENTS immediately after I posted it to the TRUE BLUE shared diary, Blue Notes, several of my favorite boards and the drphil.com three most popular boards.

I am asking the drphil.com community to SEE MIKE’S LIGHT and attach names to our sons and daughters collectively know as OUR TROOPS.

We can do more to support our loved-ones. Who do you know that is in-harms-way? What can you to support them? We can actually doing something to really support those who are sacrificing because of the war. Everyone can do SOMETHING.

We can make our voice heard here. We could help establish a forum for soldiers and their families for both support and to talk about real things folks can do to help. What do you think?

Thanks to each of you who are supporting Mike. Thank you for your kind words and wishes and the time it takes to reply. Thank you for lamps-lit, ribbons-tied and American Flags proudly flying for our son.

As you see
Blue is doing all three

Mike’s Light
Shines Bright
Tonight
