It's the weekend, yippee !!!

Where has everyone been all week?   

  

Myself I've had a very busy week, but have been making sure that I put myself first with my WLC program.  Still doing great, making good food choices, doing ie, drinking my 8 glasses of water daily, reading and reviewing the book, working on my journal, and not eating after suppertime. 

  

I also have been working at having my starch/bread for breakfast (2 servings) and none the rest of the day, so far it's working well for me.  I haven't been hungry and it will be 2 weeks this Monday that I started doing it. 

  

Hope to have another loss to report this Monday.

HI WONDERFUL WOMEN

HI BARBARA, 

I AM SO GLAD TO SEE YOU HERE! I HAVE CHECKED HERE ALMOST EVERYDAY BUT FOUND NO ONE TO CHAT TOO! 

I TOO HAD A BUSY WEEK. I AM BACK TO WORK ON THE SHORT BUS AND DIDN'T REALIZE HOW MUCH I MISSED THIS TIME AWAY FROM MY HOUSE. I GOT MY FIRST PAYCHECK YESTERDAY AND THAT WAS VERY NICE TOO! I AM GETTIN MY EYES CHECKED MONDAY AND NEW GLASSES.  

I AM FINDING IT EASIER TO GO TO THE BODY SHOP EVERYDAY EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T YESTERDAY, BUT AM GOING TO GO MAKE IT UP IN A FEW MINUTES.  

I REACHED ONE OF MY EXERCISE GOALS THURSDAY. I RODE THE STATIONARY BIKE 10 MILES. THAT BURNED ALMOST 500 CALORIES AND TOOK 65 MINUTES. MY NEXT GOAL IS TO DO THIS IN 60 MIN. BUT I AM NOT GOING TO BE IN A BIG RUSH TO DO THIS. 

I DON'T HAVE ANY REAL PLANS FOR THIS WEEKEND AND THAT IS SUCH A RELIEF, SINCE THE PAST 2 WEEKENDS HAVE BEEN FULL OF FAMILY AND CHURCH REUNIONS AND WEDDINGS AND BIRTHDAYS. WHEW! I REALLY NEEDED TO BURN THAT 500 CAL. THURS.  

I DIDN'T GO WHOLE HOG CRAZY WITH THE BAD CHOICES BUT THERE WERE A FEW OF MY FAVORITE ONCE A YEAR FOODS THAT I DID TAKE AT LEAST 3 BITES OF. TOO MANY OF THEM MAYBE BUT I THINK I HANDLED IT IN A WISE, THOUGHTFUL MANNER.  

 

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! AND I HOPE AND PRAY YOU ALL FIND OR MAKE SOME TIME TO COME HERE AND GET SUPPORT OR OFFER SOME TO THOSE OF US WHO NEED TO SEE YOU HERE MORE OFTEN. YOU ARE OUR KEY 7 YOU KNOW AND WE MISS AND NEED YOU.

Good morning Everyone!

A very happy Saturday to you all. Hope this day brings all you hope for.  

  

Barbara...congratulations on your excellent work. I am just finishing my first week of my fall tune-up. It feels good to shake things up and get going again, doesn't it? I love this time of year when things cool off.  

  

Becky...you are always such a positive person! Glad to hear you are enjoying your job...that's always a bonus when you get to do something you like plus get paid. Congratulations on meeting your bike goal! That's awesome!Keep that up and you will be riding my my house in no time at all...be sure to stop in for coffee! 

  

Blue...always nice to see your notes...prayers for you and your son.  

  

JoJo...we've never met before...I've been away for awhile and check in about once a week. Nice to meet you.  

  

I have been focusing on healthy eating and new IE programs this last week. I am also doing a lot of reading on resiliency, prompted by Hurricane Katrina. I am also trying to learn to manage my ongoing anxiety about my family and friends in New Orleans without resorting to emotional eating...so far so good, but it has been one hell of a ride.  Been doing a lot of writing to work my way through this.  

  

I offer you all this definition of resiliency...because I think it really describes what happens to us and how we respond:  

  

"Resiliency: the ability of something (or someone) to regain its shape after being bent, stretched, or compressed.  

Amen
