Wouldn't it be nice to form a group of friends, where religion doesn't matter, what size you are doesn't matter, what race you are is unimportant?  Where you can just be your TRUE self, no matter your income, your likes or dislikes.  A place where you can just "sit" and feel welcome.....and meet nice, down to earth, common sense folks.  Well, this is the place.

Let's make this an enjoyable chat board.  If you feel you have an "issue" with another member, please don't attack that person and use hurtful and hateful words, especially in front of other members.  Let's stay kind, like mature adults should do.   If an issue should arise, kindly ask that other member if you could share a word privately.  i.e...email or instant messaging.

Let's make this board a fun, free discussion on anything we so choose.  No debating, just sharing our thoughts and having good fun conversation about anything we want.  Good old fashioned front porch chatting!

Anyone welcome........

Amy

JETTAV - Thanks sweetie for showing me this gorgeous picture in a larger size.........what a doll..........and she is now 6 years old, and a lot of fun I bet.    I got quite a laugh as I must have been having a senior's moment with these old eyes as I thought your hand was the back of a baby's head.   There are days I make myself laugh.   lol  lol

You have a wonderful day.

Hugs,

Shirley

Yea, she is a lot of fun right along with her little sister Anna who is 4. I don't have recent pictures of them on the puter as my scanner isn't working but I wil put some photos up here in a bit.

I know Amy, you are gonna get tired of the same pictures but I promise, I will get some new ones up some day, soon I hope.

Hi Sherri

Quote From: danamikayl

Hi amy, just wanted to pop in and say Hello and support your new board. I also have been coming to the boards for a long time. I think it's been two years now.

I first came to the Dr. Phil board looking to chat with anyone who had I.B.S, as I was suffering with it badly at the time and I was a big fan of Dr. Phil when he was on Oprah every Tues and then I watched alot when he got his own show, however I'm no longer a fan of Dr. Phil and I find his shows have taken on more of a Jerry Springer style approach (just my opinion). I am not coming to the boards very often anymore, but as you said, we met friends here, so I pop in occasionally to say "hello" to those friends and I consider you a good cyber friend, lol.

I've been doing GREAT in my family life. Troy got a portrait tattoo of me on his arm for Valentines day with my name underneath it and I felt so honored that he would want to do that.

I have been a vegetarian since Sept. and am blissfully happy with all the changes I have made and all the new things I have learned. I discovered soem new books and I love them and have bought my own copies since. I'd like to share them with you all.

Fit for life (the origonal)

Fit for life 2

Fit for life (a new beginning) All books are by Harvey Diamond. If any of you have a fear of cancer, Fit for life (a new beginning) is a great read. I know longer fear it at all.

I also bought the DVD they talked about on Oprah called "The secret" and I loved that as well. It sure is great if you want to start thinking positive and make great changes to your life. If you have any negative talking people in your family, it's a great gift to both them and you, lol.

My girls are doing great. 12 and 5 now. we are still home schooling and have adjusted to a lifestyle that really suits us. My oldest went to her first dance at the Y.M.C.A and she had a great time. Time sure goes fast in mommy land.

Have a great night everyone,

Sherrilynn

Nice seeing you here. Spounds like your girls are grwoing up. First dance! O my. I am sure my Amy will be excited about those type of things, she already wishes she was a teenager. LOLLLLLLL.

They do grow quickly.

ANd waht a nice Valentines day gift from your hubby. Certainly different. We are not in the  tatoo thing so nothing that out of the ordiinary for me,LOLLLLLL. it is nice to be thought of in special ways, that's for sure.

Hi Lisa

Quote From: extexan36

I bought the weight loss book and then logged in.  Met some great people, unfortunately time restraints stop me from being here that often anymore. However, the weight loss is getting better.  Not much of a fan anymore of Dr. Phil, sorry I probably shouldn't say that here, but i got bored with it, plus time issues.

Hope your board gets hopping Amy, can't make many promises if I will get here that often or not, not enough hours in the day anymore.

Good luck,

lisa, your old texas pal

It's good see you over here and good to hear that your weight lossi s doing well. Wish I could say the same for me, but I haven't been working to hard the past couple of months, gotta get it going, that's for sure.

I don't watch any tv, including Dr. Phil. I read about the show some, but to actually sit and watch it, I don't. I would like to watch the show withthe mom with the triplets blind/babies, I just can't imagine. I am sure she is one om who deserves to be papmpered, whatever the case, I will at least read the show.

My life is pretty much centered around my kids. Now that my oldest is in school, she is always involved i something and then there is my 4 year old, who loves going to her play activies and all, they keep busy but it's a good busy,

Ok, gotta skidaddle from the puter and the home and go pick the 6 year old up from school. Have a great rest of the day every one, the evening is pretty packed with plans so I may not be on til later tonight.

HI RANDY

Quote From: hobart7

hey it is cold n snowy here. I live in Northern  Nevada (Reno), and there has been lots of snow this past few days here. we need it so we can have fun in the sun during  the summers playing in the lakes, and getting our sun burns lol. I have been trying toget my lovley girl friend to move here, and tohopefully marry me. She said my ex is to close lol ,and yes she is to close for me to. The area is a great place to me, because we have 4 seasons here, but so are some of the jobs to. i ahve not worked going 3 weeks now, and the belt is getting tight L0L. Guess losing weight from the fat of the summer during the winter time will make me more healthy. What do you guys think about my girlfriend being older then me by 8 years. her kids are all frown except one finishing this year, and my youngest will be in 7 more years. tell me what you think ok. Can email me if you like just let me know who you are so I do not delete it L0L.  Randy in Gods country

RANDY - Cold and snowy here too...... in Ontario, Canada.    Don't think anything is wrong with your girlfriend being 8 years older than you.......if you get along well, have things in common,  and enjoy each others company and respect each other, you just go for it.

Hope that you soon find a job but it seems that your area of the country isn't the only one that jobs are difficult to come by.  Is the job you had a seasonal one?

Have a nice evening.

Shirley

High thirties here. I think I am gonna move to Texas,LOLLL  but            man, it's a lot better then the freezing stuff we had, I must be getting ld, the cold weather botehrs me now days/ :/

After picking Amyup, we went to the library and hung out playing puter games and reading, then we picked up a  couple of pizzas, came home, ate, worked on homework, hung out some. Anna is in the tub now and Amy told me she needed a break and she "needed" to watch a  show, LOL

I got the kitchen mess cleaned up and here I am at the puter once again. just for a moment though, gotta go get towells in the wash as we are down to the last one,LOL .

Ok, here are a couple photos to get me to thinking about summer,LOLLLLLll ahh, teh beach, it was a lot of fun. This was taken when Anna was two and Amy was 4, Summer before last. It was in PA and Anna claimed the water as her own,LOL. SHe would wake up in the morning and the first thing she woulsd say is, "Wanna go play in my big water"? LOLLLL Amy's first thing in the mornign was to look out the the window, to see if there were any kids on the playground and if there were, she woul say, "mommy, I gotta go play and make a new friend," LOLLLLLL.

Yep, my kids are a blast, event hough this evening I was beginning to think the aliens were here to take over but the girls seemed to have escaped them and are being my nice little Angels,LOL.

Amy, how are you doing with your little visitors?

JETTAV - You have 2 little sweeties.......bet their grandma loves them to pieces, not to mention their mom and dad.  Sounds as if you are busy all the time........it has been a long time for me since my days were like that.  When my G/D comes and sleeps-over and then spends the next day with me the time just flies by........my house is a bit of a mess by the time she leaves but I treasure every moment.   They just grow up so fast........it seems only yesterday that my son was young and he is now 36.

Have a nice evening.

Hugs,

Shirley

Hi every one

It's like going on 2:30 in the mornin so I am not gonna be on long,LOL. The doggie woke me up and now I am waiting for him to be ready to come in, but who knows about him, he loves laying out in the very cold weather, BRRRRRR. gives me chills just thinking about it.,LOLLL

Welcome Randy, hey, I.m 3 years older then my hubby, age doesn't matter when you are two responsible adults, you love and care for each other and you click, age is just a number. Hope to see you often here.

Thanks for the compliments of the girls Shirley, we do like staying busy but we certainly like our lazy days as well,LOL. I actually enjoy staying hom especially in the Winter time. I don't mind playing in the snow, which we didn't get to do that much this year cause of all the sickness we had but actually having to go places and driving in it, I am not big fan of, but come Spring, Summer and Fall, we are out all the time, so in a way, I suppose Winter time is our hybernation time, LOL we stick to home as much as possible.  And yes, they have  a Mamaw and a Papaw who loves the girls dearly. they are Papaws inspiration, he had a stroke several years ago, has his ups and downs but the girls have a way of keeping his spirits up, of course he is one big baby any more and honestly he gets jeolous of the girls at times,LOLLLLLLL, it's one of the ways that the stroke has affected his brain, he thinks HE should have all the attention. He is also limited on what he can eat becuase of some health issues and he tries his very best to manipulate the girls in giving him what he wants, LOLLLLLLLL, my oldest is getting smart though, she will ask him if he is allowed to have it, where the little one is a softy,LOLLLLLLL. But life is good over here. Glad to hear that that everything went well with the tests, hope you get to the bottom of the issue here so you can get on the road to recovery.

Amy, hands full  huh? Hang in there, believe me, been there. I am a bit selective now days on who I watch since I have had my own kids. I had a couple kids (siblings) a while back when the girls were a  bit younger and I had to stop watching them, not going into details right now, but man, it was just too stressful, especially for my oldest who was only 3 at the time, I did everything in my power to keep them busy, every half hour, I was changing activites and man, that was not easy with those two but of course the little one waas only 4 months old, (12 months when I stopped watching her) and if I wasn't holding her or she wasn't sleeping she was crying,LOL. Any way, provide plenty of activites for them, keep them busy and maybe it won't be so bad, It's nice that you have sich warm weather, getting them out side to play could be a good thing, make them run that energy off...................

Ok, I am gonna go drag that dog in so I can go back to bed, 7 o'clock is gonna come early,LOLLLL

Have a great Tuesday everyone,

          Jetta,

Hi all

taking a break from studying just did 2 hours straight and I am brain dead at the moment, lol.  Luckily it isn't as difficult as the last subject.

this board suddenly got hopping WTG Amy.  And you have your hands full with the babysitting, not sure I cold do that for so long anymore.

Nice to see all the pics, there are so many beautiful & adorable  children out there.  I can relate to your episode with yor son, my daughter was the one who was grounded on a routine basis, lol, luckily those days are long gone.  And my son is the total opposite.  i think I could count on 3 fingers how many times he has gotten grounded in his 11 years.  All I have to do is give the look and he "knows" my daughter just gave the same look back, lol.  I can joke about it now, but at the time very frustrating.  They are just like night & day.

My daughter has a boyfriend now for a little over a year, we like him but it took forever to get used to the situation.  I am Not for all this seriousness at such a young age, almost 17 and he is 19 and in the army.  Yet on the other hand cute to see at times as well.  I guess we were all there at some point.  She is doing well at school yet doesn't like the college she goes to and may change after the summer.

Well I better skidaddle,

take care everyone,

Lisa

Ps Shirley you remember the knuffel, amazing, you always were though!

Hi Lisa,

glad to see you over here, we are  becoming quite the chatters but of course I guess we always were,LOL

Hope you are doing well and hi to everyone. Gotta get going and pick Amy up from school, it's been a  good day here, sort of quiet and calm but of course that's the way it usually is when it's just Anna and me, Madyson is now here which she isn't too bad but as soon as Amy gets in the van, we will KNOW she has arrived,LOLLLLLLLLL

Will be on some later, I am sure.
