Wouldn't it be nice to form a group of friends, where religion doesn't matter, what size you are doesn't matter, what race you are is unimportant?  Where you can just be your TRUE self, no matter your income, your likes or dislikes.  A place where you can just "sit" and feel welcome.....and meet nice, down to earth, common sense folks.  Well, this is the place.

Let's make this an enjoyable chat board.  If you feel you have an "issue" with another member, please don't attack that person and use hurtful and hateful words, especially in front of other members.  Let's stay kind, like mature adults should do.   If an issue should arise, kindly ask that other member if you could share a word privately.  i.e...email or instant messaging.

Let's make this board a fun, free discussion on anything we so choose.  No debating, just sharing our thoughts and having good fun conversation about anything we want.  Good old fashioned front porch chatting!

Anyone welcome........

Amy

POTS

Quote From: iamme4me

LISA - I worked in the area of the hospital that dealt with people with depression, OCD, anxiety, etc.   The ADD/ADHD  was handled at a different center.

Google Bipolar......it used to be called manic depression.  Have never heard of POTS, what is it.

LISA - Didn't realize until after I posted that we have 2 Lisa's on the board.  When I post to Lisa from Holland I always put "Knuffels" as it means Hugs.

Did it automatically when I answered your post.

How can I distinguish between you and the other Lisa, will one of you be #1 and the other #2 or will you use your last initial along with your name, or should I use your username?

Hugs,

Shirley

See, that's the thing...from what I know of bipolar disorder, there are many of the symptoms that are similar/same as those of POTS. Those that aren't, well, they may fit. If so, I've been in a "depressive" phase lately. About a year or so ago, I was more fitting of the "manic" phase. Just not sure, but if I do have it, I think it's a more "mild" case.

I know, I need help!!! LOL

Still haven't checked out the URL but I will next.   Think when they changed manic depression to bipolar disorder that part of the reason was that bipolar has varying degrees, as you say, it can be of a "mild" case.

I worked for a psychiatrist who often said that  people with depression and mild bipolar could be helped by just having a friend who listens......to vent is very therapeutic.    Sorry to hear that you have been in a depressive phase lately and hoping that things straighten out for you soon.

Hugs,

Shirley

LISA G - Like the sound of that!  Do you live in the U.S.   I live in Canada and another board that I belong to has people from all over......England, U.S., Canada, New Zealand and Australia.  I'm the oldie on this board but I love young people.

Is your Icon a picture of you?

Off to look at the URL and then do my income tax return for last year.

Catch you later.

Hugs,

Shirley

You have a nice day.

Thanks. I don't know what my problem is....but you sure are right about the venting. Just having someone to listen helps so much...like I'm being validated. I really wish I had that support at home, but alas I don't, so that's why these boards are so helpful to me.
