Two Hollywood stars, two incredible sagas that have captivated the nation. Dr. Phil takes you inside the drama surrounding Anna Nicole Smith and Britney Spears. Anna Nicole’s story is one of the most bizarre celebrity cases with unbelievable twists and turns: a beautiful but troubled model, a headline-grabbing pregnancy, the shocking death of her beloved son … culminating in the actress’s untimely demise. Pat O’Brien, host of The Insider, has known Anna Nicole for eight years and shares what it was like spending time with her during her last days. Next up, Alex Goen, CEO of Trimspa, weighs in on the death of his company’s spokesperson. Then, some argue that Britney Spears’ recent behavior—leaving rehab after one day, shaving her head bald, and angrily brandishing an umbrella—indicates that the pop star is in a tragic downward spiral. Frank Griffin, a celebrity photographer, has captured Britney’s public pain through his lens. Are the paparazzi partially responsible for driving this young star to the brink?  Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

First a foremost thee are very sad, and personal, situations.  My heart goes out to their mothers, fathers, siblings, and other closely rooted family and friends.  Even with bad relationships among these people, this is a horrible situation to live through.  The impact of it may not hit for a long time.

My prayers go out to them and their families.  I hope they find peace on the other side of God's veil that separates His earth and His heaven.

you are the voice of common sense razielsmom!!

Well I am glad to see that I am not the only one who feels that way. I was telling that to my husband the other day and he laught. But like you said it is so true, first it was her kids then kevin and when all that got old then it was just one thing after another and when she would die out of the spotlight that that week  there was always something else new  the next week. She has always been a spotlight hog.
So so glad that there is someone else out there who sees this media circus for what it is.  I've noticed it with some other "stars" too.  Usually after a movie flop or album sales that are down.  Anything to keep their names in the paper!  Divorce, new boyfrined, girlfriend, marrriage (even if only for a few hours), ditch the panties, shave the  head...whatever desperation move is needed to get into the spotlight.  Britney is well-known  for this...pretty sad that she needs attention that badly.  Perhaps it is the sign of a deeper  illness as other have suggested on here.

03/05 Anna and Britney: Behind the Headlines

Well, I think all the reporters and photographs need to leave poor Britney alone and let her live her life even if she is on the wrong track. Britney has fmily that can help her through it, the picture taking and baching her name isn't going to help.       SO JUST LEAVE HER ALONE.

As far as Anna and Daniel everyone needs to let them rest in PEACE and just fight for the BABY SMITH, I'm tried of hearing it...........

03/05 Anna and Britney: Behind the Headlines

I am constantly seeing articles about how the nanny, friend and even the estrange father making statements about Anna Nicole and unfortunately most of them has been negative. So many people are in a hurry to sell their story to anyone who is willing to listen and unfortunately, most of it has been negative. The first and foremost thing to remember is that Anna Nicole was a person, a mother, and daughter first,actress/model/reality star was her occupation. She was over the top at times but the media loved it, and so did everyone else.

She made mistakes just like everyone else but it was always played out in the media. Anna had a heart and it showed, not only when you saw her with her son but also her work she did with Trim spa. I wished more of that side is shared with the media, instead of all the negativity. Remember, there still is Dannylynn, who already has a rough start in life to begin with. She will never get a chance to know her mother nor her brother, this wasn't by her choice, she never deserve all of this. She needs to have positive memories of her mother and brother, this is something a child deserves no matter who that person is or what people thought about them.

I admire the fact that Alex and Monique Goen has always spoken good about Anna, this is a part of her that needs to be shared with the public. A true friend will be a friend to that person no matter what and both Alex and Monique have prove that time and time again.

03/05 Anna and Britney: Behind the Headlines

They all need to comply with a DNA test. There should be a court order, because it is abusive for the child's real father not to know if he is, and not to be able to spend time with hte baby during her formative years/months.  I guess they should wait until she is older? I don't know. But, if it is safe for the baby, I would think they should do it now! She is a cute baby. I am so sorry for the family. It was very sad to see a mother and son go like that. They are together now. I think that Anna should have been buried in Texas, as per her mother's wishes. All the talk about the family being estranged, does not make sense. The comments made at the funeral were offensive, but maybe he felt betrayed. I don't know. All I know is, there was a special which showed Anna Nicole's Aunt living with Anna and her now deceased husband. The special also showed Anna NIcole sharing presents with her family at a gathering in Texas. I'm sure they did not have the perfect family, but who does. Still, nobody is better than the other. There were a lot of human errors, but we are all human. I am sorry to her family for all they are enduring.

03/05 Anna and Britney: Behind the Headlines

Quote From: sassie1

I agree concerning Howard, what kind of man who claims to love Anna the way he claims lets her harm herself. Every recent interview I've seen of the two before Anna passed on she appeared to be drugged and there was Howard sitting next to her and that precious baby  doing nothing. I think Anna lived the past couple of years drugged to the point of where she didn't know much of what was going on, especially since the passing of her beloved son, Daniel. I also think they should get on with the results of the paternal dna tests, bet they prove that Larry is the Father of that baby, she resembles him and I think the baby deserves to be with her real Father and hopefully he will care for her as she deserves to be cared for and loved. I pray for the sake of that baby this is worked out for her best interest, is sad that she has to start life this way!

I have to agree as I have seen Anna's life unfold these past months, how all these people who claim to have loved Anna didn't do one thing to help her stop taking all these drugs that killed her is beyond me.   The interview with Howard's sister made me sick, she claims that Howard loved Anna and waited on Anna hand and foot but Howard did nothing to help Anna, looks like he just sat back and watched her die, very sad!   I also feel that Anna's doctor should have stuck to the ethnics and oath of a doctor to do no harm instead of worrying about what Anna wanted, she needs to lose her license in my opinion. She didn't have to prescribe such drugs to someone who clearly was abusing drugs.

Their excuse is, Anna is a very controlling and strong woman who gets what she wants is a book of "Bologna". No doctor who has any ethnics at all  would have given Anna those drugs!    There were a lot of people that were around Anna who are guilty of this death, guilty of sitting back and letting this baby's mother slip away, true love stands up and speaks up. Howard doesn't love anyone but himself, I don't buy anything that comes out of his mouth.   I am glad that the court has finally ordered the DNA test, that baby needs to be with her father and from what I've seen that baby appears to resemble Larry not Howard and I hope that he is the father so that baby doesn't end up like Anna.   It seems to me that Anna didn't know what was going on especially after the death of her beloved son Daniel, she appeared heavily medicated with all the slurring of her words and strange behavior.   I pray that Dannilynn gets the wholesome upbringing she deserves and that this cycle of drug abuse is broken and that is not going to happen as long as that baby is with Howard.   The whole thing is odd, Howard is odd, on the day of Anna's death, this man who supposedly according to some of the people around Anna  had said that Howard waited on Anna hand and foot, saw her that morning once and didn't check on her again because according to Howard she was sleeping with the flu..What?? This man didn't check on her again although she had the flu?? He knew how fragile Anna was with all the drug abuse but didn't think she needed checked on again that day and where were all these people at that were being paid to tend to her?? Didn't sound like anyone was waiting on Anna hand and foot to me! Just sounds like they all gave up on her and left her to her own demise, sad!   And Anna's doctor in a recent interview I watched said she saw Anna that day and Anna didn't want the doctor to leave and that Anna even had asked her to stay with her but the doctor left anyway, what kind of doctor is this?? This is sad and sick!! In my opinion, Howard and the doctor are guilty of aiding her death for obvious reasons. Accidental death was ruled, hmmm,??  If this had been my friend or spouse, I would have called an ambulance and had her put in the hospital for her own safety, I would not have cared about the media or what they thought. People are not stupid and anyone that watched Anna's behavior recently could clearly see that she needed intervention so worrying about what people thought is not logical. That Doctor could have ordered her into the hospital with out Anna's consent, all that doctor needed was a court order that Anna had become mentally unstable which was the truth and Anna would be alive today and that baby might not have to grow up with out her Mother. Dannilynn is the one that is going to suffer the most and that is just sad and could have been prevented. My heart breaks for that little baby.

My Manager Made Me Do It?

Just heard on the news last night that Britney Spears is firing her manager.. Because she went out in public wearing  no panties under her micro-mini and did all that wild partying. How is that his fault? What was he supposed to do? Stop her? When, unless he had her under constant surveillence, he had no idea what she was doing? I'll bet, if he had known what she was up to, and did try to stop her, she would've fired him for that. Britney, grow the hell up. And, get a life!

Less scrutiny or televised intervention?

I agree with Dr. Phil that Britney needs someone who is genuine and wise on her side now, someone she can trust who is able and willing to help, but was very surprised that Dr. Phil wanted to televise an intervention! He himself has said she needs LESS scrutiny - so true - so why would he suggest televising an intervention?
