The true Hollywood story of Anna Nicole Smith’s life and death has captured headlines and intrigued the American public. Now, a surprising new person has come forth and wants to set the record straight. Anna Nicole’s estranged sister, Donna Hogan, who hasn’t seen or spoken to Anna Nicole in years, has written an unauthorized book called, Train Wreck: The Life and Death of Anna Nicole Smith. Why does she say she’s not shocked by Anna Nicole’s death, and why did she write the book? Dr. Phil drills down to find out if Donna is really trying to set the record straight or if she’s just tarnishing Anna’s memory. Then, Entertainment Tonight’s weekend correspondent, Kevin Fraizer, and senior supervising producer for The Insider, Bonnie Tiegel, both key players in covering the Anna Nicole story, join the conversation. Find out what Anna Nicole told them about her relationship with her family members. And, Howard K. Stern’s sister, Bonnie, weighs in on Donna’s book and what she knows about Donna’s relationship with Anna Nicole. Why is she offended by Donna’s words? Join the discussion.

Find out what happened on the show.

What happened????

Today's show was supposed to be about Hypermesis and now I see that it has changed.  Many people that I know have been waiting to see the show on Hypermesis because of a family member that has a severe case of it.  Imagine my disappointment when I saw the pre show ads  today, so I immediately logged on to see what date the show was being moved to, and lo and behold there is no mention of it.  I cannot believe such an important show was replaced by the Anna Nicole saga and I have nothing against Anna and watch what's happening as much as the next person but the Hypermesis show is SO much more important.  I am so upset as I have been waiting for this show since it was first advertised, which I heard about last month.  What is going on??????

04/11 Anna Nicole Smith: Family Controversy

Quote From: penny_lady

Irrelevant in relation to the big deal made out of her death? Yeah, she's irrelevant. I'd rather a big deal made out of someone who made a real difference, someone who did people some good, someone WORTHY of time and honor.  Soldiers die EVERYDAY. Children die EVERYDAY.  GOOD women who were there for their families DIE EVERYDAY.

You don't see a big deal made out of that...not like this.

This isn't reality. This is not important. This is not attention worthy. It's irrelevant.

Sad but true,

Show some people a picture of Canada's Prime Minister, and they scratch their heads, or the ask them to show where exactly Iraq is on a Map of the world, hell show them a picture of Mother Theresa, Princess Anne (the hardest working Royal Family Member BTW, but she wasn't as photogenic as Diana ), Prince Edward ( again one of the hardest working, but he dosen't have something on the side like his older brother did).  How many are aware that the Queen of England actually had four children ?

Instead of idolizing a woman who did drugs while pregnant, and did drugs WITH her already addicted son, what about the Mom who sits up all night scared to death that HER son is out shooting heroin and the next time she sees him will be in the morgue.

And what about the wives and Mothers waiting each day for that phone call from the middle East saying "We regret to inform you....", and what about the mothers trying DESPARATLY to keep their children safe from the bombs being thrown at them, and the children going to school under the threat of sniper fire ?

What about the little girls being denied an education, on the basis of their gender, and then people like even Oprah, who are putting time effort and money into schools for these girls, so they might acheive their potential in this life.

But show a person a picture of Anna Nicole.

Who was she ?

A stripper ( yup, want that to be my daughter's career choice )

A gold digger ( another good choice, just make sure he's old with one foot in the grave )

Drug addict ( I suppose another aspiration to be emulated )

A Mother ? ( I suppose drug addicts make great Moms )

So yeah there are much more important things in this world than Anna Nicole her life and her death, we should be thankful though, we live in our little western cacoon sheilded from the reality of the world where our only concerns are celebrities and their lives.

This one is definely in the "who cares?" department.  Come on people.  I didn't like the woman when she was alive.  Why should I be a hypocite now and say "poor Anna!"?

BTW (you knew it was coming)  Some good men die each day as well.  lol)

Amen, sister!

Quote From: cavwife

Oh my word!!!  I am so sick of hearing about Anna Nicole Smith!  I have turned off more shows because of their continued coverage of this human being who has done absolutely nothing noteworthy (forgive me if I don't think being a Playboy Playmate of the Year is noteworthy).  Enough is enough!  Surely there is something more pertinant and news worthy in our society that we could focus on.  I truly don't understand the significance of any more news of this woman...thanks for letting me know she died, but other than that, I really don't care.

In case people have forgotten, we have thousands of soldiers putting their life on the line for the US of A everyday.  My husband just returned from a 14 month tour in Iraq...why don't we hear more about these honorable, brave, inspiring people rather than a woman who couldn't keep her meds straight.  We have soldiers dying every week....why aren't their stories and faces shown on our news programs around the country.  THEY are truly noteworthy individuals!  Let's get a grip and actually focus on those that deserve our time and admiration.

Well said!  I am so tired of hearing about stupid celebrities doing stupid things with their stupid lives!  Put something on about things that really matter - our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, 33 million Americans living below the poverty line, a foreclosure rate that continues to climb, water shortages in the south and west, global warming.

Sick of it all

I would think there are important topics to discuss. How about our soldiers that have given their lives and their families they've left behind? How about the food shortage or the homeless? How about the people that go out and sacrifice to help others?

Every guys eyes glaze over when it comes to Anna Nicole. It's not that they think she's so "smart" but it's her breasts they care about. If this woman had not been in Playboy she would be just another bimbo on the streets.

She had problems and one of them was she wanted to be famous. She was obsessed with Marilyn Monroe. She had mental issues. All these people on this show that is throwing slurs to her sister are just wanting to be in the spotlight under Anna Nicoles name. They are using the dead womans name to get on television and stay in the media.

Anna Nicole didn't even know who the father of her baby was. What does that say about her. Hopefully this baby's father will take her away and keep her sheltered from the spotlight. Maybe he will find a good woman that will be the mother to this child that she deserves and give her a normal life.

Let's move on to something that's actually worthy of peoples time.

Donna Hogan

Thank You for nailing Anna's sister for this book, she is a fake and seems to be all over the TV everywhere I am sick of seeing her and acting like she is a good sister.......

She looks like a total (_(_) and the more she opens her mouth the more she proves what a (_(_) she really is.

Donna go home to your 2 daughters and be a mother and SHUT UP!

and.....

Howard Sterns sister needs to get back with her own life and off the talk show circut. And Dr.Phil needs to put his eyes back into his head and quit obsessing over this dead woman. I will be turning the show off and doing something that has some meaning. I think that hour would be better spent volunteering for people that have made a difference in this world and not just flashed a set of breast.

It Is Sad

Quote From: mokey49

how   could   any   human  be  irrelevant?anna  was   a   women,  mom  X2,  actress,  somebodies  little  girl.  you   call  that  irrelevant?  may  anna   r.i.p.  however  too   many  people   are   making    money   off   this   terrible  tragedy.   it   is   a   sad  day   when   any   human   is  used   over   and   over,  even   in  death.

I have to agree with the postings that talk about how sad this is.  I just think it's sad for a different reason.  People were obsessed with Anna Nicole during her life in the same way people rubber neck at a bad car accident.  This is even more true since the accident now has a fatality.

So, these people who never cared about her anyway aside from her "celebrity" are now in mock mourning.  Please.

It's obvious that a lot of people need hobbies.  What makes it a sad day is the number of people who now pretend to care.
