(Original Air Date: 04/19/07) Some moms don’t want to grow up, and others don’t want to grow old. Dr. Phil talks to women walking on the wild side and tries to rein them back in! Aubrey says her sister, Elise, would rather drink and party every night than take care of her 8-year-old son. Their mom, Heidi, is raising Elise’s child and says Elise wants to be a parent only when it’s convenient for her. Elise promises her family that she’s going to change, but what will it take for her to get her act together? Dr. Phil has a shocking proposition for her. Then, Greg says his wife, Lisa, is obsessed with plastic surgery and worries that it’s becoming a disease. He says she works at a plastic surgeon’s office just to get a better deal on surgery. Lisa, 39, admits that she’s spent nearly $100,000 on cosmetic procedures so she can look as young as her 21-year-old daughter and wants even more work done. Can Greg convince his wife to stop going under the knife? Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

How old are these idiots????  I have used the internet and computers for many years and have always thought that the MySpace site is for young people.  Are we not talking about adults here???  Maybe these people need to grow up and be an adult.  Like my friend always says, "Put on your big girl panties and deal with it!"
With so many sexual preditors trolling that site, should MySpace even be for young people?

Lisa: STOP!

Well, STOP FOR NOW anyway....You look fabulous.  You also look like a well preserved almost 40...vibrant, sexy and very pretty but take a good look at that husband sitting beside you.  He loves you as you are and that in itself should satisfy the self esteem boosts you seem to need.  I know you and your husband are both reading these boards so give the man a break.  I can't remember the words, but there's an adage or poem that ends with "come grow old with me".  Think about it.  Keep up your present program and I have to wonder whether you will have this man in your life with whom to grow old.  Don't worry about growing OLD..worry about growing UP.

Some of us (cosmetic surgery wannabes) agree with you - UP TO A POINT - but we don't all have the luxury of having the funds to take the route you're taking.  And I also think most of us wouldn't take it as FAR as you're taking it.  How many boob jobs can one person have for crying out loud?!  I was fortunate enough for most of my over-30-life to have the majority of people think I was about 10 years younger than I am and trust me it was a feel-gooder...so see, I really do know where you're coming from  However, after going through 5 back surgeries and then 2 yrs ago having lung surgery in which the surgeon screwed up and damaged my ribs when spreading them (and herniated 4 more discs in my back), I have hated life.  I went from looking 50-something to looking 80 something and it's my 24/7 pain that has painted a very vivid and not very pretty picture on my face.  Wanna talk about low self esteem?!  I leave my home about 3 times a month, mainly because it hurts to move/walk but also because I'm embarrassed to look so old!  Sheesh, people open doors for me!  It gets worse-there's nothing I can do about it.  But this message isn't for or about me..it's about YOU and the fact that I (and it seems the other posters on this board) think you're messin' up, big time.  You're always going to be pretty; that's apparent but you don't need to look your daughter's age.  You seem intelligent - use that intelligence and the advice given you by your loving husband, Dr. Phil and the surgeons he had as guests on the show.  And then Lisa......for crying out loud......give it another 10 or 20 years before you even consider additional surgery.  Or I can send you my picture and you can say "there but for the grace of God go I".....and then of course you'll run to the operating table!! ;->

Drinking killed a friend last week...

I don't believe in drinking alcohol. There is too many evil things it can do to a person. Just last weekend some of my schoolmates were drinking and driving. They drove off a mountain road and rolled down the mountain. One of them was killed on the scene. I come from a small town and it seems that all they do is drink there for fun. When will people learn that they can have fun without alcohol? Our hearts and prayers go out to his family. RIP Steve.

I'm 42 - Am constantly guessed at 30-35 (Great Genetics) - I have a 22 year old daughter who takes my breath away every time I even look at at picture of her!! I DO NOT want to look like her sister I WANT TO LOOK LIKE HER MOTHER!!!!! She is my pride and joy - I realize I am lucky and have nothing against plastic surgery but this woman has to be one of THE ditziest - knukleheads I've seen in a long time just watching her mannerisms while she spoke was more then enough to see someone completely and throughly self absorbed.  As pointed out earlier she isn't even 40 yet - God help her family as the years continue to tick by - Growing old gracefully is also a choice - one she should take into serious consideration there is nothing more pathetic them those women who no longer use plastic surgery to look better - they use it to look younger Hot Tip ladies YOU ARE NOT YOUNGER and the results of such things make you look pathetic and sad - Something for the daughters to truly emulate I can only hope that once home this woman really watches a tape of this show and see's how thoroughly rediculous she sounds!!! And how not once did she mention her family (Children) Other then wanting to compete with one and encourage the other to get surgery also - Nice self image building there MOMMY!!!!!!
Plastic surgey can't maka a woman's body any younger. It won't add a second to her life. So, unless she's getting reconstructive surgery for a disfigurement, I see little point in it.

Lisa the plastic surgery guru

As I watched Dr. Phil talk with Lisa all I could do is think of how her husband and daughter must feel.  My heart goes out to the daughter especially.  Not really knowing her but hearing that she has weight issues I suspect hearing her Mom go on and on about making herself prettier and better via plastic surgery certainly can not help her self esteem.  I can almost bet is somewhat embarrassed with her Mom and Dad both.  She has truly one extreme to the other.  A large average man and a mom that makes her friends say things like "wow, that's your Mom?", all the time probably thinking if not saying I guess you take after your Dad.  Her husband a very seemingly nice man probably has his own insecurities about his size.  She says she is not judgmental but I think anybody who is that self absorbed and superficial will be also judgmental.  She should be showing her family the correct way to maintain good body image and promote a healthy lifestyle instead of it being a matter of what you can afford to buy to correct, via plastic surgery, what you feel is not right about your looks.  I think her goals are unrealistic and very demeaning to the people who love her.  She is definitely obsessed.  I think it is an addiction as much as the people who get tattoos and piercings to the extreme.  I feel she is taking the easy, less demanding way out of taking good care of herself.

Plastic Surgery Junkie

I am fine with plastic surgery but only within reason. I would love to have some but I would much rather spend time with my young son instead of trying to heal. This woman needs to calm down and age a little!!!
I agree.  Did you watch this woman when she was talking?   The only thing that moved on her face was her big lips!  The rest was definitely "plastic"!  I'll just treat my wrinkles by taking what care I can of myself, and age gracefully.  I've earned every one of them!   I prefer to see expressions on people's faces.  Just my humble opinion.

The next surgery won't put her over the top.  The last one already did that.
I totally agree.

Plastic Surgery and DFAC

The lady who had so many Botox procedures does not have any movement in her face when she talks except her bottom lip.  I went to the mirror to see how much of her face is now non-moving when she talks and it is all of it except the lower lip.  I'm affraid she has damaged her muscles in her face to the point she can no longer show expressions in her face.  This show was a great advertisement against plastic surgery.  I hope people will think twice before allowing this to happen to them.

The young mother who is ignoring her son and her own body, is sick.  She needs help bad and I love the tough love Dr Phil gave her and her mother.  I have seen so many young and older mothers ignore a problem because they don't want the child to be mad at them, when in fact the child is really crying out for someone to love them enough to punish them and stop enabling their distructive behavior.  Yeh, Dr Phil.

The first part of this show is heartwrenching...for that poor 8 year old boy, mainly, as well as what she is doing to the rest of her family let alone herself.  Get a clue and use Dr. Phil's offer.  You may never have another chance like this to mend your life.

The plastic surgery woman...get a life.  You just don't get it.  You have already done too much.  You don't look almost 40.  You look at least 40 with a phoney face being the only difference.  You do not look natural...stop now before you make it worse.  I am 38, and I constantly get told I look as young as 25-28.  I suspect that before you started all of this surgery, you may have been told the same things just by taking care of yourself in a healthy way.

Do you know anyone w/ myspace? maybe even your children or a friend?

I always tohught that myspace was for kids, teen, perverts ect. but once I figured out how to build a myspace its actually pretty cool. Im 46 im into photography and have found that this is a good outlet to stay in touch with my stepkids and 2 neices one is 22 and one is 34 and in Ireland. If you have kids its great cause you can find out about things their doing that you would rather them not. You also have the choice of whom to let veiw your my space but if you dont have friends to  visit then all it ends up being is a place to be creative and learn a little about desigining pages. I ve learned quite a bit. My page is mlburton45 feel free to stop by. Myspace is what you make of it but honestly I use to feel the same way you do
