(Original Air Date: 04/19/07) Some moms don’t want to grow up, and others don’t want to grow old. Dr. Phil talks to women walking on the wild side and tries to rein them back in! Aubrey says her sister, Elise, would rather drink and party every night than take care of her 8-year-old son. Their mom, Heidi, is raising Elise’s child and says Elise wants to be a parent only when it’s convenient for her. Elise promises her family that she’s going to change, but what will it take for her to get her act together? Dr. Phil has a shocking proposition for her. Then, Greg says his wife, Lisa, is obsessed with plastic surgery and worries that it’s becoming a disease. He says she works at a plastic surgeon’s office just to get a better deal on surgery. Lisa, 39, admits that she’s spent nearly $100,000 on cosmetic procedures so she can look as young as her 21-year-old daughter and wants even more work done. Can Greg convince his wife to stop going under the knife? Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

MOMS gone immature & selfish !

Very, very sad! How can women who are supposed to be mature put so much weight on how they look? The outside is just packaging. It's superficial. It's shallow. It's not what matters. I suppose that insercure people will always care about the outside more than what's truly important in life. What does that say about them???

19 years ago I married a handsome, gorgeous, talented, athletic, hard-working man who would soon become a professional. I am now 110 lbs heavier and no longer swim with him, go to beaches with him, etc. NOT ONCE has he ever called me anything but "beautiful" and not once has he not desired me. We are the best of friends and lovers rolled into one! Thank goodness SOME PEOPLE know what's important in life and value people for who they are (not what they look like).

As for mothers who won't grow up...I have just witnessed a good friend lose lots of weight and leave her wonderful husband and teen daughter for bedtime fun with college guys (she's in her lmid 30's). She has sacrificed her husband and daughter's happiness and stability, her self- respect and most of her friends for a roll in the hay (several rolls) because she didn't know how to handle her new-found good looks. When she's in her 50's and hanging in bars looking for a piece of arse, everyone will pity her! She'll be alone, lonely and still selfish.

Once we have children, we OWE IT TO THEM to love them, protect them, make them feel stable and secure AND BE GOOD ROLE MODELS TO THEM. If we don't, we have no excuses. We're simply LOSERS...immature, irresponsible and selfish.

God bless the children of these lousy mothers; may they grow up NOT to repeat the horrible mistakes of their mothers.

Moms gone wild

Hello,

Hope this is as real as it gets.  Take some of this responsibility, because you two ( mom and sister) is giving her permission to act out and control your life.  First Mom at 22 and that behavior she will not be living in my house.  She should had been taught  actions follow conquences.  Mom just get custosy of the child you have the evidents.  She can ship up or ship out.  When she gets it together for a least a year then maybe she can get her child back.  Until then stop making this child feel like a burden or responsible.  Mom you need to take the lead on this, as according to your story your daughter cannot.  Let's get real/  People fix themselves there is no mircle pill.  Sorry if I sound hard but in the real world life goes on and the son of hers needs to have a stable life so he can start to grow in a positive way, if not the cycle will repeat itself.  He knows now that you will almost tolerate anything he does because you are leading by example.  Get real and wake up you are the leader.  Don't lose control.  Hope this helps!

OK Dr. Phil

Today's show should have played "You're so Vein" before the commercials.

I don't like liquor.  Tastes like a mix of maylaax + cough syrup.  Who'd put a straw to that?

These moms that go through plastic surgery, thank goodness they have low pain tolerance.  I have to get gum surgery and am dreading it.  They're going to put me out so I don't know what they're doing to my gums.

Dr. Phil, being a common sense doctor gets you away from blood and guts.  Helping people with lost souls and a lack of morals is surgery without cutting.  Kinda gives your saying "change what you can't acknowledge" a different meaning.  They change the outside but not the inside.

Not to get off subject, Dr. Phil, did you take Robin on that picnic?

An Idea for he MySpace Page

Why doesn't she put pictures of the vehicles that she totaled from drinking and pictures of her room full of beer bottles on her MySpace page. If she is so proud of disregarding her responsibilities to her son and going out drinking then she should be proud of putting those pictures on her site.

Looks even older....

I think the woman getting all of the plastic surgery now looks older than her age due to all of the surgery.  It's her choice to have all of this done, for sure, but I think it has done more harm than good.  Too bad she doesn't see that.  I can't believe the amount of money she wastes on this...

HEIDI - LAWYERS WILL TAKE YOUR HOME

Heidi - you are enabling your daughter - that car should not be available for her to drive - and she should not have a home there with you if she can't act with some consideration, maturity and responsibility.  You house her, feed her, take car of her and pay her car payments - for all intents and purposes she's your dependant - and you are enabling her.

If or rather when she hits someone else and maims or kills them an attorney representing them will come and take your house away - cause I bet that the car you're making payments on is even registered and insured to your address. Won't take an attorney much to make the connections to your home.

If Elise doesn't take Dr. Phil's offer then move her our - take the car keys and sue her for the back payments. It's past time for her to grow up.

Moms gone Wild

I am so confused as to why someone would spend so much money on something that allows you to look so fake. I am concerned for this young lady. $100,000 dollars is alot of money to waste. It would be nice if even half of what she has spent could be donated to some type of foundation to help find cures for sick kids (such as mine).  I have had 2 children and I sure do not look anything like what I did prior to having my children, and  I would not change my image for anything in the world. The smiles that I give are sure real and botox compete with that!

Lisa still looks her age even after all the botox and surgeries she has had.  I believe the real secret to staying young-looking is to eat healthy, exercise regularly and NOT do cosmetic surgery.  Also, do not smoke or drink excessively.  I agree with Lisa's husband.

When it comes down to it, we all will inevitably grow old and die.  I believe that in the future, Lisa will have a lot of regrets.  Has she ever seen the facial scars on Farrah Fawcett?  Yipes!!

We all look pretty much the same after a few years in a grave.  At least she won't have to die to hear people say "...she looks so life-like!".
