Hi Heather, Linda, Lyn, Lainie, Sharon, Karin, Joy, Bets, Connie....and everyone else I've missed. Just done quick 1/2 hr read of posts.  Boy its getting busy.   Had fun in the sun today.

Lainie... I reckon the packing is a bit  like our weight loss challenges, if we keep chipping away eventually we'll get there.

No Q time today but always feel good after belting a few balls around, it's great Melbourne weather today,  Sunny 18C, I can feel a bit of sunburn on my cheeks, I look like i'm permanently blushing   I have rosacia too.

Joy....Yes we call it soccer here,  our other codes are Aussie Rules and Rugby League/Union

Sharon.....Thanks, if we didn't have humour where would we be?

TRACY

You are sooo right you know. I hadn't thought of it like that but I did manage to get a lot done after the whip came out. I then decided to stay off my comuter until I'd finished the set work for the day..it kind of motivated me.

Maybe you'll get some Q time tomorrow. I got some at the gym..turning into a real gym junkie I think

Love Lainie

Don't forget--Dr P's plan is a lifestyle, not a diet.  You can't fail from a lifestyle.  I used to think that I was a failure as I yo-yoed up and down for years.  But, since I started with Dr P, I feel free not to blame myself if I choose to have something that I know I shouldn't.  I am trying to learn to then balance that out with extra workouts and extra viligence on calories from other places.

I have always been like you--save those fat clothes as I'll need them again.  However, this is my last time.  I have given a sack of things to charities as they were bagging so badly that my workout friends were teasing me.  It felt good to get rid of them (I did keep a couple baggy shirts for doing yard work on hot days, but everything else went).  There is something psychologically good about stating (by getting rid of the things) that you will not go back.

Also, I now have to put the brakes on quickly if I over-eat.  I can't puff out too much before my pants/shirts are too tight and I have nothing else to slip into.

Give it some more thought.  I don't have much money, so the thought of buying more big clothes is just not  an option.

Hang in there--have a good day today.

Hugs, Anita

To all

I seem to be alone now, so I think I'll get to moving.  I have a workshop to go to today and need to water my flowers before I go.  It's been really hot and dry here in Kansas.

You all have a great day.  Be nice to yourselves and drink lots of water.  :)

Hugs and smiles,

Anita

Sooo glad to see someone else has been facing a similar dilema to me. I got a ribbing from friends because my clothes were soo big too and mine are all boxed ready to go to the local op shop.

I no longer feel bad about spending money buying clothes that fit me..besides, it stops me from giving myself concussion

Love and hugs

GOOD MORNING ALL!

Just popping in quickly to say hello to everyone!  I've had my and washed the dishes already.  Still need to exercise and shower before really jumping into the day here.

Yesterday, I spent some time working to get myself organized. Many years ago I read a book about how to keep your home clean.  The idea was to get 3x5 index cards and write on each card every task to do around the house.   Include everything - from the annual stuff to the daily stuff.  Then you get dividers and place each card under the specific divider.  I did this many years ago and found that my housework took little time to complete each day after I got to working it well.  I've even included parts of my weight loss program on it.  (A card for exercising, a card to remind me to plan ahead, card to drink the water, etc.  The idea is that no card can be filed away until that task is complete.  So, I have my little stack of cards here for today and I'm ready to get busy.

I'll be popping in and out.

Hope to catch you later!

Hugs,

Sharon

I too are wanting to ditch the baggy clothes, but im a lil' hesitant because im scared of having a "fat" day and having to go out in public looking a lil' yuck and flabby... I wish i had confondence to get rid of the big clothes like you two, but @ 23, im still caught up in that "image society" which isnt very forgiving at bigger sizes.
