(Original Air Date: 05/18/07) Many women dream of finding the perfect man -- one who's attractive, romantic, intelligent and even in touch with his feminine side. But what happens when he spends more time at the mirror than you do and pampers himself with manicures, facials and even carries a purse? Abbie says her husband, A.J., is high maintenance and takes forever getting ready in the bathroom because he’s tweezing, waxing, moisturizing and putting on makeup! A.J. is a self-proclaimed metrosexual and admits to giving his wife unwanted beauty tips. Abbie says A.J.'s flamboyant behavior takes a toll on their marriage. She wants him to act more manly, but is she sabotaging his manhood? And, Joleen says her husband, German, prefers to do the cooking and cleaning, but leaves all the man's work for her. She says she's forced to clean gutters, chop wood and make hauls to the dump! German says he does all the housework, and it drives him crazy when his wife unwinds with a beer instead of helping him with the chores. Joleen's father and brother say she used to be the princess of the family, but now German wears the tiara! Can this couple find a middle ground? Share your thoughts here.

05/18 Girly Men?

A gay man is a man who is sexually attracted to men. Period. That is the definition of a homosexual male. Being effeminate, being fastidious doesn't mean anything other than what it is.

The other reason this is an ignorant comment is because it assumes that all gay men act a certain way...as if it's some chemical reaction going on in them. I know lots of gay guys. Some are the stereotype you are stuck on, others are not and there are lots between.  MOST of the gay guys I know are pretty normal Joes. You probably wouldn't even know they were gay.

So, other than an icky outdated Will'n'Grace stereotype, what evidence do you have that this man is sexually attracted to other males?

I have to agree with you. There is no such thing as stero typing. If you believe there is then you should get some education on the subject. I know lots of Gay guys and Lesbian gals, I also know lots of trans women and men. They are not what you think. You may not even know that they are part of the GLBT just by looking at them. I know some lesbians who are just a prissy at that Hilton chick. I know some gay guys who are beer drinking slobs.

I guess that what the other person has said that guys who like to make themselves look nice are gay, so that means that all women who make themselves look like slobs are lesbians. No woman would act like that. I got news for that person. We are all different so don't judge us from the cover of the book.

I personally have never meet a gay guy I couldn't tell was gay, and they didn't even have to say they liked men, and they didn't act so girly that it was a given. But if you can read body language you can tell, and so far I haven't been wrong. So what I viewed in the short time that first guy was on stage it was like he could of had a tattoo on his forehead "I'm Gay" the only thing I find is sad is that he is married to a female.

I do not believe it's a choice, I do not know if it's inborn.

Homosexuality isn't anything MORE than who you are sexually attracted to. It has nothing to do with grooming habits. Not one thing.

Yeah...for lazy thinkers. People who don't want to actually look at each person as an individual. Think about the stereotypes you fall into, for women, moms, wives, christians...whathaveyou...they aren't very fair are they? Some are down right wrong, so yeah, stereotypes have a reason for being around and the reason is just plain wrong.

I do not believe it's a choice, I do not know if it's inborn.

But that is all homosexuality is. I am telling you this as a bisexual woman, a woman who has known a LOT of gay guys in her life...I have known everything from regular Joe's who you would NEVER know are gay all the way to award winning Drag Queens...(And just for the record, not all of those drag queens are gay either! LOL)

You are talking about personality traits, NOT what gives him an erection.

Yes it does, but you missed my point...THIS guy has given you NO OTHER reason to assume he is gay other than some of his personality traits...and that is just, literally, ignorant.

Hi.. i trhink that it's really a great prob. beeing a woman is make relations in trouble; and it's seriously menace the family clarity. also; the children should know from their childhood the positives differencies between a man and a woman. and the problem become so hard for the society witch must be far from desorder.. thank you ellahbib2005@yahoo.fr

The only gay men I've ever known, who actually admitted to being gay, have been like the husband in question. So ,through the years it's been hard for me not to stereotype. I have always heard that there are gay men who look like macho football players. I've never met anyone like that. So I've always assumed that if a man acted like the guy on the show, then he is gay. By the way later on the messageboards, he said he was gay. Even though I'm older than you, I've just never been around a varied group of homo-sexual people.(That I've been aware of)

My 6 year old stepson.......

My 6 year old stepson thinks he is a girl to no end.He calls himself Kaitlyn.Plays with dolls,is very prissy,whines and cries to get his way,wears shirts or towels on his head and says it is his hair.AND not to mention he will just out of the blue when he is around other little boys strike a girl(stripper like) pose around them.My husband says he has done this since he could walk.I am wondering does anyone else have a little one like this?
