Yes, new boyfriend.  Nothing serious, though.  I don't feel up to that.  My ex has bipolar, we have just found out!  That info would have been really useful about 2 years ago!  Did you go out?  Was it fun?  It was fun up at the bar (the drummer of the band likes me but he is WAY too old for me!) and I got dressed up, which made me feel really good.  Tonight I have a date with the new one.  I do not know where we will go, because all there is to do around here is go to the bar.  The new one is a great singer, too.  Oh, bother!  I don't know what we will do.  Maybe we will sit in the truck (if he has a truck).  But tell me all about your time with your friends.

I'm really sad to hear that you can't enjoy yourself.  I always felt like the ugliest girl in the place before.  Now, people tell me I am so beautiful and I turn 50 colors of red (but I am still thinking that I can't compete, but I am doing better).  I do not know what I would think if people didn't say these things.  I just say to myself that these people have no reason to lie to me and I have been wrong about things before.  Of course you can be helped!  You are a great person and your picture when you were small is very cute, and I am sure that you are a very beautiful person now.  Isn't it possible that you're wrong?

your bad thoughts are incorrect, like hating yourself.  you are a good person and you're wrong about you.  you don't deserve to be hurt or hated.  that's what I mean by you're wrong.   

When I feel like I am worthless and ugly and deserve to be hurt, I start this internal dialogue. 

"Isn't it possible that you are wrong?  All of these people say these nice things to you and they have absolutely nothing to gain by lying.  Do you seriously think that all of these nice people are wrong and you are right?  How is that possible?  Well, I guess these feelings aren't real."  It took about a year and a half to get that down, but it helps me out to keep myself from falling into despair.
