Wanting to have a place to talk with other Army or other military moms, especially those who have a spouse in Iraq or going soon. I have been through one deployment already and know how important it is to have someone to talk to. Getting geared up for our second deployment, NTC begins tonight......Hoooah

New Army wife

My husband and I have be married for almost three years and have been thankful that in that time he has not had to face deployment. Now It looks as though he maybe deployed in Sept. We have a daughter that is 19 months and is deaf.  I would love to talk to any other miltary wife about deployments......

Thanks

Kelly

It's going to be hard the first couple of weeks. It will be good to join some type of support group and have friends to hang with.

Army Moms

Hello,

I have been an Army wife for 12 years, have children, and have survived several deployments and other separations. If you need to talk, feel free to contact me.

lost without my son

I am a single mother of one son.  He decided on his own free will to join the military after declining a scholarship for football knowing that would only be short term.  He felt that the military could offer him so much more.  He is stationed right now at Camp Casey  the closest base to North Korea.  I don't want to eat or leave the house or even look for a job.  My son and I lived in SWFL but before his deployment I moved back to southern Illinois for family support.  I have since seemed to shut the world out and don't know how to get out of this dark cave I have created for myself.  I am miserable without him and tried of acting like it is all okay when nobody really knows if it is or not.  I need help I use to be vibrant and outgoing now my give a damn is busted and I don't want to face reality afraid of what it may hold.  I doubt if you have any useful advice but I need to get this off of my chest so few people understand and quite honestly I am not sure if I do either.  I am proud of him and his choice and I support it I just didn't expect it to be so difficult on me. Thank you for letting me aire this out.
