yah! Ann!

Congrats Ann for sticking to it babe! I'm proud of ya. No, Tracey I didn't. It's so hard and I somehow conned myself into the 15th. I've gotta do something though because I am seeing just how weak my immune system really is. I had my surgery about a month ago and I'm still sore! Makes me worry.

Everybody Needs a Plan

"To be or not to be". How many times have you heard that phase? I believe it's from Shakespeare. Now put it to smoking. "To be smoke free " or "Not to be smoke free". Sometimes a particular phase will stick in our head a long time, something that we can live by.

The board has really changed, but for us to quit smoking, weeeeee had to really change. The "smoking" archives are full of helpful hints in what to do. Everybody needs a plan in conquering this addiction. I'll be here to help.

good news

i went for an job interview today! picture that, a lumberjack turns into a coffee roaster.
the really good part of that interview. they asked me about my taste ability, after telling them that i quit smoking 7 1/2 months ago. i discovered some smiling faces. that shows me that it was already for a good cause, even i gained more weight than i needed. it changed my life and it also changed the life of my kids being around me. my gf still smokes, i try to push the issue once in a blue moon. but all that creates is friction. so if thats what she wants to do.
I'm on the other hand don't think that i want to go there again!
till then!

Sending my congrtas!

Mario.....hope you get the job!  I love coffee!  However I relate coffee to smoking.  So when I do quit smoking I also have to slow down on the coffee.

Ann.....sorry about your computers.  That really sucks!  Please hang in their with your smoking, you know it gets easier and the strong craings soon disappear!

i was surprised to here back from that interview so fast, but i have to go for my second on monday!
yes coffee was part of my smoke routine! but you have to make choices and adjustments. the first few weeks after nope, i didn't had any, and than after a while i had a few chewed my gum did my thing and now i drink pretty much as much coffee than before. nothing to be afraid off.
this weekend is a lot of painting going on, kids are gone so we can move furniture and attack the kitchen and living room!

Coffee

Glad you heard back from them!  I hope you get the job!

I know back when I did quit I did cut down on the coffee, and I have actually still cut down on it.  I drink way to much coffee.  A few cups in the morning, and a few in the afternoon a cup after supper and one before I went to bed!  I have this wonderful "one cup at a time" coffee maker.  I stopped using that, as it is to convieniant.

I just fininished painting as well.  I did one bedroom and one wall in the living room.  Looks so much better!

Well we are having a garage sale agian today.  getting rid of some junk!  Got rid of some yesterday.  ($65, I sold some stuff dirt cheap!)  Just to get rid of it!

chow for now.....

wow..I've missed all of you..our computers are back up and running for now..we have a couple of old dinosaurs, but they do the job most of the time..I had a good day, cleaning house in the nice cool rainy weather..it was only 72 today and we had strong winds and storms..my hubby had gone down to his Mom's for the afternoon for his step dad's birthday..I've had a dear friend pass away and have to go to Dallas Tuesday for the funeral, so I needed to stay here and get some stuff done..I'm going to leave early early Tuesday around 6 a.m. in time to arrive for the funeral at 10am..then I'll stay the night with her and come back the next day..I worked with this couple in Dallas and have kept in touch..she is devastated, but glad he's finally at peace..he succumbed to liver cancer, he was only 60..so sad, .love to all and I hope to talk to everyone before I leave for Texas...xoxoxox Ann
