Quote From: agathe1949Well still smoke free after all this time and going strong. No I never thought that I would be able to keep on with the program at first. It was everyone on this board that kept me going. I am so grateful to everyone here and to those who are not....Ann, Mario, etc;. I found those days and the struggles not so difficult with you guys there with me......but those were the days, I can tell you!! No my man does not smoke (he never did) but we are dieting together. Ours is a long distance romance, we see each other about twice a month. Yes the weather is very nice here, I live right on the Ottawa River. We had a very nice Winter, not too cold but it was nice to see Spring arriving. Maple sugar season is over for this year now and the trees are budding very nicely. Last month I took delivery of my new car (2006 Mazda 6) and getting ready to take the long trip to the other side of Toronto to visit with Paul this week-end....leaving early tomorrow morning. Well I have to get going here and go to the optometrist to see about my new contact lenses. Hope that all is well with you and always great to read your posts.

Hi Aggie,
Can you believe almost half a year is gone!!!!!! The month of May was a real busy month for me, graduations. Plus shopping for a vehicle for me. Another SUV, GMC Envoy, so in love with it, the smoothest ride.
I see you bought a new one too, our daughter had a 626 years ago, said it was one of the best she ever drove or rode in. She said she was going back to Mazda 626 for the next vehicle.
Our winter was pretty mild here too. The lack of rain has been a great concern for us for a while. But hurricane season starts June 1, thats usually how we get some needed rain. After last years spell with Hurricane Katrina, that all the news has on it, gear up for this season. It has been years since one came directly for us. And yet I'm 60 miles inland.
Good for you on contacts, I never got the hang of them. They promote that laser surgery more now. Neither one work for me, I need glasses for close up.
Nice to hear about a special person in your life, hope all is what you wish for. The distance bites, but with time that might change too.
It is always great to read your posts as well. I needed that support on smoking, and you where one that I could always re-lie on . I thank you for being there.
Well time to get the little one off to school , last day, 7th grade this fall !!!!! Hope to read you soon.
Linda
